I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Iceland. My research studies how public policies affect households, using administrative data and quasi-experimental methods to understand the behavior that should inform the design of tax, pension, and housing policy. I work at the intersection of public economics, labor economics, household finance, and behavioral economics, with particular interests in taxation, saving and consumption, housing markets, debt, and inequality.
