Meeting Schedule            Books Previously Read          How We Choose Books       History of the Group

The Robbins Library Book Discussion Group is a Robbins Library program run by volunteers. We read a wide variety of genres, including both fiction and non-fiction, chosen in advance by members of the group.

When are meetings?

We meet at 7:00 pm, usually on the first Monday of the month.  Meetings are held in the Library, and there is a Zoom option for those who cannot attend in person.

How do you join?

There is no formal procedure to join. You can just show up at a meeting. However, we encourage you to get on our email list so we can notify you of future meetings, and there is an optional Facebook group for members who would like to discuss more about the books between meetings. To get on the mailing list, please send email to steve02476@gmail.com. To join the Facebook group, visit our Facebook Group Page and register.

How do you get a copy of the book?

The Robbins Library staff keeps copies of the current month's book at the circulation desk in the front lobby. Ask for the title and mention that it is for the book group.

What book is scheduled for the next meeting?

Please see  the Meeting Schedule.

Does the Robbins Library have other book groups?

Yes. Our name, the "Robbins Library Book Discussion Group" is a reflection of the fact that we were, for a long time, the only book group at the Library.  Now there are many book and film discussion groups, please see this list for information about them. (Now that there are many groups, Library staff sometimes refer to us as the "Monday Night Group.")
