Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka-BangladeshI completed my B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), in 2012. In my professional career, I worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering (MPE) at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), Dhaka. I received my Master's in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2015 where I worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the NASA center for Space Exploration Technology Research (cSETR). The goal of my master's project was to study the turbulent flow-flame interaction at ‘thickened-flame’ regime.
Recently, I completed my Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at The Ohio State University (OSU) where I worked as a graduate research associate at the Aerospace Research Center (ARC) under the supervision of Professor Jeffrey Bons in his Turbine Aerothermodynamics Lab. The objective of my recent work was to develop innovative turbine cooling technology with micro-architectures enabled by Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS). A new film cooling scheme has been developed where an unsteady sweeping jet is used by means of a fluidic oscillator. This device can be used in order to get larger span wise coverage of coolant at the hot turbine blade surface.
