22nd & 23rd September 2024

MX0YHA will be located in Gargrave, N. Yorkshire and operated by Kevin M0XLT. Coverage depends totally on propagation conditions, which are variable at best.

Find us on the 40m and 20m bands, usually mid-morning and mid-afternoon.

The Autumnal Equinox marks the start of the transition into Autumn and once upon a time it signalled a change in radio propagation. Quite whether that will happen in 2024 - or in the future - seems open to conjecture with the peculiar solar activity which, no doubt, is a result of Global Warming :-O

Tempus Romanus

Myths, legends, festivals and traditions of Ancient Rome.

Tempus Romanus is an ongoing 'programme' and fuller information about it can be found here. In outline, many Roman festivals and myths survive into modern times and are often worth celebrating one way or another.  Individual activities may of may not have specific downloadable EeZee QSLs.

VEDIOVIS

May 21 & 22 - 2m, 40m, 20m as available. Hosted by Kevin M0XLT from SD95, Gargrave, North Yorkshire.

The Roman god Vediovis is quite poorly known nowadays, having been usurped somewhat by Vulcan as God Of The Underworld. These two gods were part of the Roman Foundation Myths and were both connected with volcanic activity which dominated much of life in the ancient Roman homeland. Vediovis was probably celebrated around the Ides of May: most Roman festivals were just an excuse for a defricatus urinasursum, a phrase the Romans would have fully understood.
