My research focuses on individual differences in language comprehension. I'm especially interested in how our experience with language (both recent and habitual exposure) and our cognitive abilities (like working memory) impact online language processing. My current focus is on the measurement issues that are particular to this line of work, which is at the intersection of correlational and experimental research.
Defining and measuring language experience
Assessing measurement constructs for print exposure (eg. Author Recognition Task)
Reliability of language-mediated eye movements
Assessing a possible relationship between working memory and English resumption (with Dustin Chacón)
Predicting individual differences in the Ganong effect (with Joe Toscano)
Replicating syntactic priming effects (with Kyle Mahowald, Richard Futrell, Idan Blank, and Melody Yen)
