The mindsgarden is located at the edge of Arcosanti at the rim of a cliff that fronts the Aqua Fria River from the south side. The space is designed as a contemplative park to foster intellectual thinking. It includes a array of Italian Cypress trees that have struggled in the poor soils. The Mindsgarden is one of the spaces of choice for bonfire parties which usually take place at night. Efforts have been made to revitalize the soils and the park overall but it remains for the most part neglected. Its also the graveyard for many of the 70 or so cars that burned in the 1970s fire at the last festival ever held at Arcosanti.
