WELCOME

Our next event—

May 22, 2021:
Study Day & Fundraiser
four lectures, 10AM-2:45PM, via Zoom

As we hope everyone can appreciate, ARCE DC has had to cancel its in-person meetings for the foreseeable future.

We are now shifting to online lectures via Zoom until we can all safely meet in person again.

Here's what we have planned

April:
The chapter will not offer a lecture this month, since ARCE's annual meeting will take place (virtually) April 22-25.

May 22, 2021:

Details to come for the rest of the year. Here are a few teasers—

October 15, 2021 (Friday):

In the meantime, we hope you were able to "attend" the online lectures that ARCE headquarters is arranging. They're an exclusive benefit for ARCE members.

If you're not a member, think about joining! (Choose Washington, DC, as your chapter.) Details are here at the ARCE headquarters website.

DC Chapter

If you love anything to do with Ancient Egypt, this organization is the place for you! ARCE-DC offers monthly lectures by noted scholars as well as seminars, social events, tours, and museums trips—all focused on Ancient Egypt. Come meet others who share the same passion.
ARCE-DC is the largest of ARCE's 13 chapters in the United States.

Our in-person events are open to the public.

Sponsor-a-Speaker Program—

In 2012 ARCE-DC established the Sponsor-a-Speaker program whereby a member can sponsor a speaker's honorarium, travel costs, and/or host a speaker for a home stay (usually one night). Sponsoring the cost of the venue rental is also welcome. This allows the chapter to bring the best speakers to D.C. Should you be interested in sponsoring a speaker or the venue rental, please let the chapter's board know at arce.dc.news@gmail.com
