G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

Synopsis

In the movie, Snake Eyes' background is rebooted with him being an abandoned 10 year old child who found his way to the home of Arashikage Clan, where he battled the young Thomas Arashikage when he attacked him for stealing food from them.

However, the orphan's ability to fight impressed the Hard Master (portrayed by Gerald Okamura)  as he gave Snake Eyes his name while bringing him under his wing. Over time, losing to him at first in their sparrings, Snake Eyes eventually overpowered Thomas and gained the favor of the Hard Master.

Hard Master is killed offscreen with one of Thomas' swords, while Thomas is seen running off in midsts of the chaos. Since then, Snake Eyes has chosen to take a vow of silence. Learning that Storm Shadow is now a member of Cobra, Snake Eyes fights him before stabbing him, allowing him to fall into icy water in Cobra's Arctic base, leaving his fate unknown. Snake Eyes returns to The Pit, with the surviving members of G.I. Joe.

The Baroness is mentioned as one Storm Shadow's "best" students, but was not identified as a member of the clan.

G.I. Joe: Retaliation

Synopsis

When members of the special GI Joe team, composed of top government agents, are accused of treason and dissolved by the President, evil Zartan, a specialist in disguise and martial arts, takes the opportunity to try to dominate the world. In order to do so, he infiltrates the White House. GI Joe members then try everything they can to unite again and defend freedom. In order to fight those within the U.S. government that threaten the survival of their unit, they turn to the only person they trust, General Colton.

The Blind Master is portrayed by RZA and is the master of Jinx (Elodie Yung).

Synopsis

Snake Eyes, a tenacious loner who is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he's been longing for: a home. But, when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes' honor and allegiance will be tested -- even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him. 

With the help of Henry Goldling, Snake Eyes gets his own gritty origin story.

Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins is a 2021 American superhero film loosely based on Hasbro's G.I. Joe toy line character Snake Eyes. It is the third installment in the G.I. Joe film series.
