How can people grow plants without any soil in Mars?
This PBL project is about the Aquaponics system being applied to mars. The Aquaponics system is where you are able to grow plants without soil. These plants grow on top of water. The seeds are put into sheep wool this makes it easier for the plant to grow without soil. The system uses less water than traditional farming. The purpose is to grow plants without soil.
Introduction
The problems are that there is not that much sunlight on mars than on earth, mars get 2.25 times as less light on mars, about 44% less sunlight.Also that there is no atmosphere on mars. The problem that society is facing is that we want to colonize other planets and sustain life on them.
The goal for this project is to colonize mars using the aquaponics system and help scientists at NASA.
How can the aquapoonics system be applied to mars?
Using the aquaponics system on mars will help provide, produce, and reproduce oxygen on mars so we can colonize.
Jillian is building our structure for the entire system/
We're putting the tarp to hold the water and grow bed which is where the plants are.
This is are paint team our paint team personnel: Victoria, Kiara, and Brianna, they're painting our structure.

Materials
seeds
17 goldfish
wool
fish tank
power saw
grow bed material
Procedure
We make the support system to hold the fish tank and the grow bed.
Put the fish in the fish tank with pump, thermometer, and heater.
Put three seeds in each thing of wool and put it in the grow bed.
Measure the growth of the plants before,during,and after period of harvesting.
Record our results.
