One where we use our in-house or other open-source academic turbulence codes to simulate and/or model turbulent flows in various environments such as stratification and magnetohydrodynamics (MHD). Here, our focus is mostly on large eddy simulations (LES) and the development and assessment of sub-grid scale (SGS) models.
The second line of research involves using commercial or open-source codes to model applied fluid and heat transfer problems such as those in the manufacturing and tyre industries.
