Problems with electric Drive Train

Electric supply depends on Thermal power Stations so again Oil is used in power generation.

There are Losses in distribution of electricity and Charge / discharge cycle of battery

Houses uses 5-30 hp per day; Vehicle need 10-200 hp per hour. So more power stations are required around 100 times.

Battery production and disposal is not environment friendly. They produce harmful chemicals as side products

Cost of battery will be very high depending on Huge investment in R&D and materials

Size and weight of battery is very high that will adversely affect overall efficiency.

The other big problem is energy density. A lot of these hybrid cars around today get worse mileage than several American and Japanese cars from the mid 1980's.

2010 Prius curb weight = 3042 lbs

2010 Prius mpg = about 50

1984 Honda CRX HF curb weight = 1713 lbs

1984 Honda CRX HF mpg = 50-55

A mobile thermal engine with efficiency more than 55% is a more viable solution than electric vehicles.

Anyoon Rotary engine with more than 70% efficiency is a complete solution for the Previously said problems.

Anyoon engine is more efficient than electric vehicle if we consider well to wheel efficiency
