STRUGGLE
An Exhibit for Our Times
ANTON STARTS AT 1:53 (VIRTUAL EXHIBIT) 2021
February is Black History Month, and this year NRCA is delighted to be partnering with the Lincoln Park Conservancy and the Iona College Council on the Arts (with support from the Verizon Foundation) to present Struggle: An Exhibit of Our Times. The exhibit, which features works by 24 artists, is presented as part of Quest for Justice - A 60-Year Commemoration of the Lincoln School Decision, a multi-event series being produced by the Lincoln Park Conservancy. As Rotunda Gallery chair Linda Tarrant-Reid writes. "In these critical times of colliding turmoil, we each are faced with multiple "STRUGGLES." In the age of Black Lives Matter, the Covid-19 Pandemic, economic uncertainty, food insecurity and political upheaval, we find ourselves reaching for an understanding, a resolution, or a recognition of our personal struggle. The artist's voice is strong and brings an awareness of the reality of that struggle to the audience.

A CELEBRATION OF LGBTQ LIFE
ANTON STARTS AT 1:43 (VIRTUAL EXHIBIT) 2020
Like Revolutionary Movements throughout the world, this painting depicts an intertwining colorful congregation of abstract dimensions and layered shapes, formed to represent different ethnic body parts of people coming together to take a stand against discrimination and inequalities, because of their sexual orientations and gender identities.
