"you can have knowledge... but it better not be from college."
lol, this clip is pretty amusing. I might as well loop it; it may have showed up in my news feed because I posted "lose yourself" recently. Nobody else noticed except the algorithms. I personally can and will break all of the rules for what not to do in any context... when the mutual need arises. So this dialogue is helpful to disperse stagnating fixations, but not an absolute truth.
I think a lot of people forget to find themselves first. To know what to say... Because you know that it needs to be said. And that's what will make your art transcendent. It's also why perfection has no rules, it is a totem to heed the call of the moment, ever-evolving. Simplicity is usually deeper than cliche, but only when it's truly deeply needed, symbolic of ineffable truth. Said another way, the way we say something ...the sounds themselves... can sometimes be of a greater essence than the words used. But there's a lot of monetization creeping in, influencing the youth to buy & sell a strange kind of product, resembling themselves... Formulas, algorithms, exciting sensations in replay.
My recipe doesn't all ways make dollars, and the proof is in my lack of pudding... But then again, I often struggle to believe in myself. Nobody else is gonna do it. It's like sitting around waiting for investors to sponsor your truth. Huh? Hip-hop is where philosophy, poetry, and music converge in a strange dance of Aeonic proportions. To make art knowing that people in 1000 years will understand it better than your peers, a blessing and a curse: wield it, or yield? Financial success is a separate but related artform... Ironically, did you know, that the word finance, like fine, is rooted in "to pay a ransom or debt?" Like finish and finite, it signifies an ending &/or limitation or boundary being traversed.
too funny, my most recent song is based upon the rhyming of orange. i even used porridge.
