Motor Cycle diaries : Earnesto Che Guvera
Che Guvera and his friend Alberto started their journey on an old motor cycle ‘La Poderosa’ in January 1952 from Buenos Aires. Their destination was USA.
They were medical students .They entered Chili from Argentina. Then they proceeded to Peru. They visited Lima, the capital of Peru. Then they travelled through Columbia and then to Caracas in Venezuela. They lost their motor cycle on the way. They had to depend on trucks and on foot and also they travelled by boat without almost any money in hand. They had to depend on others for food and travelled almost in a starving condition.
There are excellent descriptions of Matchu Pitchu, the temple of Inca Culture. The arduous desert weather and hostile environment does not dampen their spirits. A wonderful and inspiring account of the journey of two men with unfathomable energy and optimism.
