Introduction

The Angels Guest House is an 8 bedroom guest house catering for the needs of many visitors.

The following statement is a summery of the facillities provided.If you have any questions that have not been addressed in this statement please do not hesitate to get in touch .

Pre-Arrival

1) The physical stucture and layout of the building makes the premises unsuitable for people with a sreious mobility impairment .

2) It is possible to accommodate guests with hearing and visual impairment if they are accompanied so as to ensure their safety.

5) This access statement is available in all the welcome folders in bedrooms. a version in a larger font is available on request.

6) The nearest bus stop is an approximate five minute walk away.

7) Trams go right along the promenade from starr gate to fleetwood. The nearest tram stop is an approximately ten minute walk away 8) The nearest major station is Blackpool North, which is either a ten minute car or taxi journey away or an approximate twenty minute walk .

9) Blackpool International Airport is an approximately fifteen minute car or taxi journey away.

10) A taxi can be booked for your arrival (Please inquire) .

11) For up-to-date information on public transport accessibility issues , please contact the relevant authority .

12) Blackpool town centre is an approximately five minute walk away.

13) The property is centrally located for all local amieneties and attractions.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

1) If arriving by car , you may be able to park outside White Rose Hotel if you are a blue badge holder , or out of season visitor without any restrictions .

2) Assistance with your baggage is available .

3) A contact telephone number is displayed externally and internally.

Main Entrance & Reception

1) Access to the single width front entrance door is via one stone step, where a bell is situated for assistance .

2) Telephone contact is available during the hours of 08.00 hrs - 23.00 hrs. An answering machine will be in place during any other times . Guest can access internal bell for attention .

3) All prices are available on request from reception .

4) Door to the dinning room lead from the hall way.

Public Areas - General (Internal)

1) The building has three floors ,i e ground floor, first floor ,second floor. Except for bedrooms all public areas are on the ground floor.

2) corridors, stairs, bedrooms and public areas are well lit and have a fitted short pile carpet .

3) A public payphone is situated at the bottom of stairs in the inner hallway .

4) The stairs to the first and second floor are of normal dimensions

Dining room & Bar lounge

1) All meals are served in the dining room on the ground floor .

2) Dining room furniture can be moved on request .

3) Chairs are all without arms

4) Special diets ie vegetarians , can be catered for with prior notice .Anyone with a life threatening allergy ,ie nut ,shellfish , cannot be catered for .

5) The lounge bar doesn't have set hours , but generally opens 11.00am to midnight .

6) Any Music Played in public , has been kindly given permission by Mr G Jones .

Laundry

1) All towels and pillow cases are laundered by ourselves on site ,and bed linen is contracted out to a professional laundry.

Bedrooms

1) There are eight bedrooms ,seven of which are en-suite and one which has its own private bathroom facilities .

2) all bedrooms are fitted with short pile carpet .

3) There are four bedrooms on the first floor , they comprise of one family room (full size double bed & two bunks ),two single rooms (double beds ) and twin room ( double & single bed).

4) There are four bedrooms on the second floor , they comprise of one family room (full size double bed & two single beds ),one double room (full size double bed ) ,one double room (king size bed), one single room (double bed).

5) Some full size beds are not accessible from either side.

6) All bedding is non feather.

7) Furniture in the bedrooms is not movable .

8) Each bedroom has a colour freeveiw TV with remote control, for informative purposes only, I.E News and Travel.

9)Each bedroom has a basic electric kettle .

10) All bedrooms are fitted with smoke and sounder alarms .

11) All bedrooms are strictly non smoking

Bathrooms ,Shower rooms & W C

1) All bedrooms fitted with en-suites contain a step in shower with small step ,a toilet and basin

2) All en-suites are fitted with cushion flooring .

Grounds & Garden

1) There is a small level terrace at the front of the property,which is lined with large pots containing an assortment of plants and flowers

2) The terrace flooring is stoned tiles , a wooden twin seat provides a seating area

3) Smoking is permitted outside on the terrace , a wall mounted ash bin is provided for the safe disposal of cigerette ends .

Additional Information

The Angels Guest House is open all year round. An L2 fire alarm system has been installed for fire and safety precausions ,all levels are equiped with fire extinquishers and emergency lighting . All necessary certificates are available on request .

Medication dietry foods and baby milk can be stored in the kitchen fridge ,although not available 24/7. A travel cot can be provided on a first come first serve basis also a baby high chair can be obtained on the same basis .

There is generally a good mobile reception in the area.
