The Horsehead nebula
17x60s triband filter, ASI294 MC pro, SkyWatcher explorer 200p, HEQ5 pro mount, guiding and image acquisition by Stellarmate astrophotography tool. Stacked in DPP and finished in Affinity photo.
This was photographed with the moon at 89% full. Giving a 60s exposure with no filter resulted in no nebula being visible. So this was an interesting exercise in the usefulness of filters.

Photographed on a moonless night a month later
M42 The one on the left is a single 30s light frame. The image just exploded onto the screen with more colour than I've ever seen from a DSO.
