My passion towards photography bloomed when I got hold of an old Minolta SRT-201 followed by a Canon AE-1 Program film camera during my stay in the US about 5 years ago. Initially I learnt the basic techniques of using aperture and shutter speed settings using these cameras.
Recently, I have started digital photography using a Nikon D90 camera with a 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 VR lens and a 50mm f/1.4 lens. This switch-over also made me interested in post-processing using Adobe Lightroom 3. I have been living in Canberra since last year and I have a desire to develop my own style in photography. Street photography appeal to me the most. It is not only interesting but also challenging for me. Sometimes I still experiment with films. Recently, I tried my hand on Velvia 50 transparency film and got some interesting shots. In fact, I hardly use my D90 any more.
A year ago, a Fujifilm X100 has been added to my gear. I'm now obsessed with experimenting with this amazing camera.
