About Me

I am currently the Music Coordinator for Jeffco Public Schools, and I am responsible for K-12 music curriculum and teacher learning. Prior to this position, I taught elementary band and orchestra in Jeffco for 17 years, and grew and maintained a successful instrumental music program in several highly impacted schools.

I am passionate about providing every child a chance to develop their artistic talents, and I believe that music education is a cornerstone of our public school environment. I'm proud to be part of Jeffco, because the Jeffco Generations philosophy puts a strong value on the arts and creative approaches to learning.

Throughout my career, I have embraced a role as a leader among my music colleagues and in the broader community. I am proud to have led committees responsible for writing curriculum, informing district policies, and maintaining the strength of our district programs.

I am dedicated to my crafts of teaching and musicianship, and also to the community that I serve. I value my students, families, and my colleagues, and also the parts of the community that may not be directly involved in our schools. Music and music education are essential to the human experience, and I love helping students find their pathway through music.
