Haley Colgate Kottler
Haley Colgate Kottler is a data scientist at Western Governors University. She completed her PhD in Mathematics in 2026. She graduated from Colorado College in 2020 with a BA in mathematics. Her research interests are quantitative justice, interdisciplinary data analysis, and computational psychiatry. Outside of research, she enjoy knitting and playing guitar.
Hannah Olson-Williams
Hannah joined IHME as a fellow in 2026. In 2024, she finished her PhD in the Epidemiology program, where she served as a project assistant for County Health Rankings and Roadmaps. Hannah earned a BS in math from Case Western Reserve University. Prior to beginning graduate school, Hannah served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Lesotho, Southern Africa. Her research is looking to examine how/whether we should account for migration when measuring health in US counties.
Ken Nieser

Ken Nieser is currently an investigator, joint between the Department of Veterans Affairs and Stanford. Ken Nieser completed his PhD in 2023 within the Department of Population Health Sciences. He graduated from Swarthmore College in 2013 with a BA in Physics and Mathematics. He worked in healthcare IT and analytics for several years before starting graduate school. His current research interests are in social epidemiology, mental health, and algorithmic fairness. Outside of research, he enjoys playing piano and cooking vegan food.
Enkhzaya Enkhtaivan

Enkhzaya Enkhtaivan is currently a software engineer at Clever, Inc. He graduated from UW Madison in 2022 with a PhD in Mathematics. His thesis focused on computational models of human decision-making.
Skylar Grey (they/them)
Skylar Grey is currently a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Florida. Before that, they were a Van Vleck Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at UW Madison. They graduated with their Ph.D in mathematics from the University of Tennessee in 2020. Their research interests include math modeling, optimal control, and difference equations.
