I am a Senior Lecturer (equivalent to Associate Professor in North American universities) in Software Engineering and the Software Engineering Major leader at the School of Mathematical and Computational Sciences, Massey University.  I am the Director of International Education, leading the School's international and offshore programs, including the Massey-HEBUT joint degree program in Tianjin, China (where I also spend time).

I obtained a PhD from the University of Otago in 2016.  Before joining Otago, I spent time at the Software Engineering Research Laboratory at Auckland University of Technology (AUT), NZ and at the Department of Software Engineering, University of Malaya. I hold an MSc in Software Engineering from Staffordshire University.

My current research focuses on understanding and assessing the quality of software systems.

Perspective Students: I am looking for motivated PhD students to work with me on ongoing software engineering projects. For prospective Ph.D. students, please read here for more details.
