Paco de Lucia 1947-2014

So saddened by the passing of the greatest guitarist known to me. A talent that touched the world and inspired beyond measure.

Paco’s discipline, concentration and meticulous style mixed with his humble demeanor made him one of a kind in the music world. Setting him apart as one of the greatest Flamenco guitarists of all time. The need to grow and create drove Paco to take Flamenco guitar to new levels of virtuosity and expression that had yet been seen. Fusing styles while always keeping a deep respect for Flamenco tradition, Paco’s work has led to the contemporary Flamenco Guitar we hear today.

Paco’s guitar playing is legendary and will continue to inspire listeners for generations to come. His passing leaves a void in the guitar world which may never be filled. A true apostle of the guitar who’s spirit will live on forever in the hearts of countless people across the world he moved with his beautiful music and unmatched exquisite technique. RIP maestro Paco de Lucia.
