INTRODUCTION

It is a fact that after XII statndard, every year a number of deserving alumni of the Vidyalaya optout of professional courses and institutes of high repute due to lack of financial support. Many of us would have undergone such a stage during our life too. Ankur can certainly contribute to ensure that its young members persue the courses they dream and deserve.

PROPOSAL

It is proposed that we at Ankur set up a fund called ‘Ankur Vidyarthi Sahaya Nidhi’ solely for the purpose of rendering financial support to our young members in getting admission for higher studies. Ankur can later help the students in getting an education loan for rest of the course. These days Banks easily issue education loans, and this can be further easier with Ankur’s backing.

WHO SHOULD BE SUPPORTED

Every year, beneficiary/ies of the scheme would be decided by the teachers of the vidyalaya. It shall be given to a student who has done well (say in entrance test) and stands a good chance of getting a seat for a professional course or in a reputed institution, but is backing out due to financial problems

HOW TO RAISE THE FUND

To start with, the fund would be raised from contribution from the alumni. After around four to five years the fund would be able to sustain itself from money paid back by the benifitted alumni.It is proposed that established alumni can contribute Rs. 100 a month for the first 4 years. 

For example: 25 alumni contributing Rs 100 a month would make it Rs. 2500 a month and 30,000 per annum. In addition some big one time donations can also add to this.
