Current Projects
Altrusa of Fayetteville continues to hold events and support various programs in the community, including the following:
Comfort for Children in Crisis, providing stuffies to rural fire departments to give to children in crisis
Nourishing Our Neighbors, shepherding Little Free Pantries in Fayetteville and providing goods to our Marshallese community
Altrusa Loves Literacy, providing books to local organizations that serve children
Mozart, Music, and Literacy, a program for students connecting classical music and literacy
TUGS+, providing t-shirts, underwear, gloves, socks and other requested items to 7hills Homeless Center, Head Start/Early Head Start, and other organizations as needed
Single parent scholarships
Previous Projects:
Kid's Market / Trade-a-Book, partnered with Cobblestone Farms to provide produce and exchange of older books for new ones for their home library
Salvation Army Medical Fund, providing medical service ministries to those in need in the community
Children's Medical Center: provided books for their opening
Yvonne Richardson Community Center: Donated books / educational workbooks; and story hours
Fayetteville Youth Dental Clinic, providing dental services to children in need
"Captivating Read," providing books to inmates of the Washington County Women's Jail
Arkansas Highway CleanupÂ
