All Dubh Pickups, do the following types of models -
Humbucker - Chrome, Gold, White, Black, Black & Cream, Black & White and even Red & Cream. We use a selection of magnets to compliment "That Sound" you may be looking for. Using different grades of ceramic magnets gives a huge range of tones and output levels. Of course we also use AlNiCo II, III, IV, V, and VIII, combine this with different winding levels to produce the pickup of your dreams. Or maybe a close second..........
Single coil (Stratocaster style) - With a choice of plastic or fibre bobbins, coupled with either ceramic, AlNiCo II, III, V rod or flat high grade magnets with various wire and coil windings, to give you that authentic "Vintage" sound plus a lot more. Introduced in 2016 is the "Sweet Little 16" a single sized humbucker pickup, with a great punch and overdrive properties for all those rockers out there....
New for 2018, but still in the experimental stage, is a stacked noiseless pickup, very clean vintage output and can be fitted in all positions and an extreemly high output AlNiCo V bridge pickup. Watch this space as they say for more updates on these pickups.
Bass - Unfortunately at the moment we only wind "Precision" and "Jazz" styles in ceramic or AlNiCo V magnets on fibre or plastic bobbins. BUT watch this space.........
P90 - Wound on both fibre and plastic bobbins with a choice of ceramic or AlNiCo II or V magnets. A selection of black, cream or chrome covers are available as well as stacked humbucker (P100) sets and chrome or gold humbucker sized (Fat 90's) pickups.
Single coil (Telecaster style) - Once again with a choice of plastic or fibre bobbins, coupled with either AlNiCo II, III, V rod, Ceramic or Ferrous flat high grade magnets with various wire and coil windings, to give you that "Vintage" sound with "that modern twist". Choose from an authentic vintage flat or staggered pole pieces, stacked, single or blade. styles along with a complete range of outputs suitable for country, jazz and all the way to screaming rock.
BazBucker - A Telecaster pickup / set used and endorsed by Baz Warne of The Stranglers. The bridge is a "Blade style" vintage output with a higher Hernie reading, 42 gauge wire and a ceramic magnet. The neck is modelled after the bridge pickup but with a ferrous magnet. String separation and punch are a must and this pickup set truly delivers both to the extreme.
OddBalls - These are really all the other styles we wind. A single blade humbucker , but with a vintage output to give a superb "Jazzy" no hum sound. Chrome or gold covered "Lipstick" vintage vibe pickups and all our "experiments"......
