Welcome to my numbers site. My goal is to cover everything with numbers that I find interesting in the style of a web book. While most of the website will discuss extremely large numbers, I will occasionally discuss the "everyday math" realm as well.
Decimal expansions are one of my favorite parts of googology. I have tried to gather as much information about the digits of large numbers as possible, and will give the first and last digits for every number possible that is mentioned on this site.
On YouTube, I'm Allam A., and many of my videos in the past three years have been about the "Far Lands" in Minecraft, which are, in a way, the game's closest equivalent of the world of large numbers. I recently added several related entries to my large number list.
On the Googology Wiki, I'm Allam948736.
I associate each digit with a color. 0 is white, 1 is red, 2 is yellow, 3 is green, 4 is blue, 5 is orange, 6 is purple, 7 is a lighter purple, 8 is a very light green, and 9 is black. In the case of a very large number, the first digit usually determines the "color" of the whole number (with the digits immediately after the leading digit having some effect as well, while the terminating digits have more effect if the number is so large that its first digits cannot be calculated).
Part 1: Basic Numbers and Notations
In part 1, we will cover basic large numbers such as the -illions, and the googol and googolplex.
Part 2: Intermediate Large Number Notations
In part 2 we will go beyond what we covered in part 1 and learn about the hyperoperations and other similar notations.
Part 3: Hierarchies and Advanced Googological Notations
In part 3 we will cover even more advanced notations like the fast-growing hierarchy, Conway's chained arrow notation, and Bowers' array notation.
