• I was born in the UK and lived in almost every region of England and in Brussels before moving to Melbourne with my Australian husband in 1999

I have two children aged eight and six

• Arrival in Australia was the catalyst for me to take my writing seriously

• I write all kinds of poetry/spoken word and also collaborate with a musician with whom I performed at BMW Edge at Federation Square as part of the 2008 Emerging Writers' Festival in Melbourne

• I am also an English teacher and private tutor who gives seminars on a range of topics

• I enjoy walking in Nortons Park and Jells Park and seeing the stars properly when we visit a friend's property near Benalla

• I can speak and write reasonable French
