Warning. Spoilers and then some.
Well, what you read up to chapter 11 is basically the main body of a story where I would then later go back and add some scenes here and there. You know, work my magic where you read something in chapter 10 and then think 'wow, talk about planning out a story, that plot point was already talked about in chapter one'. While in reality I reread the story and thought 'hmm, I need to explain that, how about I just have them talk about that in some scene in chapter one?'
:)
However, sometimes I also get ideas for scenes that are further ahead then the story is. I just write them down and use them when I get to that point in the story. Well, unless I stop writing.
So below you will find some scenes that are for later, and way later, in the story. So, yeah, I guess you can call them spoilers for what would have happened next in the story. Also keep in mind that these scenes haven't been fully worked out yet. So they are very unpolishe.
Read at your own risk.
Day 28 (late afternoon)
(Day Voyager might show up in best case scenario.)
Seven surfaced with a well-deserved little smirk on her face.
"You win, baby," A heavily panting B'Elanna surrendered. She had her arms outstretched along the edge of the bathtub she and Seven had created the week before. The round bathtub was big enough to easily seat ten people, and deep enough that when sitting on the bench the water came to just over B'Elanna's shoulders. B'Elanna looked to one of her hands as she finally released the death grip she had on the ledge. "How the hell can you even do that and not drown?"
"I am Borg," Seven said with her trademark superior look. "And it helps that I can hold my breath for five minutes. However, just to let you know, it is not something I plan on repeating. I merely did it to prove a point."
"Yes, yes," B'Elanna agreed. "You are right. It is possible to eat pussy under water. I can't believe you drove me over the edge that hard in only five minutes."
Seven moved closer and molded her body against her lover. "You are forgetting that this was merely the finale." She started to nibble at her lover's neck with gentle nips that she knew her partner loved. "You remember me doing this, do you not?" A hand curled around a still sensitive breast. "And me doing this, before going lower? You seem to forget the twenty minutes of foreplay you enjoyed before my little party trick."
B'Elanna chuckled. "That, my love, is not a party trick. Because if you ever did that at a party I would have to kill everyone there just to make sure that the secret would not get out. But why never do it again?"
"You want me to?" Seven countered without answering.
B'Elanna tilted her head a little to the side in an effort to convince her lover to kiss her. It worked. Once they broke apart, B'Elanna assured. "Baby if you say you don't want to do it again, you don't do it again. I never want you to start doing something you don't really want just because I happened to like it. Trust me on this, you do more than enough that I like, a lot, that I don't need to include stuff you don't like."
"It is not as much a matter of not liking," Seven assured. "I was making love to you, how could I not like doing that? It is more a matter of it being a weak alternative to other things. As you know, I love the way you taste. Under water, even though I was eating you, all I tasted was the water. There was also the fact that I knew that I only had five minutes to work with and had to rush more than I wanted. I like making love to you. I like making love to you in this bath as well. However, it is much more effective to have you sit on the edge while I dine above the water line."
B'Elanna closed her arms around her lover and pulled her close. "Alright, sounds like a good better option to me. I really just asked because you were so resolute. It was the first time you told me you don't want to do something again, so I wanted to know why in case it was something in general that we should stay away from in the future."
Seven shook her head. "No. Because the 'in general' could only mean that we not make love in the bath anymore. I would not want that. It is so much fun to make love in the bath around this time of the day. I would not want to miss it. It is merely that we have to stick to hands for under water, and do the rest on the edge."
"It still amazes me," B'Elanna admitted, changing the topic a bit. "It's been four weeks now since we had sex for the first time. I would have expected us to calm down a bit by now."
"We did," Seven pointed out. "We used to make love a lot more in the beginning than we do now. Now we make love two times per day with certainty, and maybe three times if we also feel like making love in the morning."
B'Elanna chuckled. "Yes, what is it with us and water? If we make love in the morning we do it before or during the morning shower. Then we tend to make love again here in the bath. Lastly we make love before the evening shower."
"Convenience," Seven pointed out. "With this weather and the fact that days are as long as they are, we like to get under or in water just to get rid of perspiration. There is also the fact that we like to get clean after we made love. Why not combine the occasions?"
"I guess," B'Elanna agreed.
"And there is the fact that here we can do whatever we want, whenever we want," Seven pointed out. "Yes, we tend to make love in the places we just talked about, but that is often not where it starts. We made love here in this bath, however it started an hour ago when you were working on the side of the shuttle and kept bending over. Seeing that, seeing you so tempting; I could not resist. However on Voyager for instance I would have to resist or else we would be in the brig for indecent behavior."
B'Elanna laughed. "Yeah, somehow I don't think Tuvok would approve of hearing that you shoved me up against the wall and pushed your hand down my pants... again. Even if it was this time only to tease me."
Seven stood up and extended her hand. "Come, let us lie down in the hammock for a while to dry off before we put our clothes on."
B'Elanna took then hand and they got out the bath. "What you want to talk about," She asked, having heard the slightly changed tone in her lover's voice and knowing by now that it meant that they blonde wanted to have a serious conversation that was more than just their normal casual talking.
Seven waited with answering until they were lying in the hammock, nestled as close to each other as they could and yet still be able to look each other in the eyes. "Today is the twenty-eight day that we are stranded on this planet. In the beginning we calculated that unless Voyager had a 'hunch' that something is wrong with our mission, that it would take twenty-eight of our days before they might show up. If they truly waited for the day, their time, that we were supposed to report back, rush the repairs needed to be space worthy again, and then come looking for us."
B'Elanna nodded. "We talk about Voyager daily, but we have stopped talking about the 'what if' after we reached the compromise of well, basically giving them time to actually come to our rescue. We have basically been busy waiting for this day to arrive."
"And now it has," Seven pointed out the obvious. "Which begs the question, now what? How long do we wait? If today is the best case scenario time for them to arrive, how long do we wait for uncalculated events? Do we wait another week to compensate for them maybe giving us a bit of extra time? Do we calculate two weeks for them potentially running into problems and having to save themselves first? Voyager was traveling through a war zone after all. How long do we wait, B'Elanna?"
B'Elanna pondered that for a moment. "Well, she finally started, my counter question is, do we have to set a date? What I mean is, we have been living here now for a certain way for four weeks. Do you feel a need to change something? Do you want to move away from the shuttle and try living somewhere else? Now that you are so good with that bow that you could hit a fly from fifty meters away, in flight, do you want to start using the bow to hunt animals so that we can roast the meet over a fire instead of just using the replicator like we have been doing?"
"I cannot hit a fly in flight from fifty meters away," Seven pointed out. "Nor have I ever tried to do so."
"I bet you could," B'Elanna persisted. "But it's beside the point. What I was going for is that we both know that you are so good with that thing now that you could do the hunting for us if you wanted to, if it was needed. I honestly don't see us making any big changes just because we know have to start living with the idea that maybe this last month was only the first of many years to come. I think that we should just go on as we have been. The only real difference being that now if we think of something a bit more ambitious, we do it instead of just thinking that it's not worth the time. If voyager does come for us, the worst thing that can happen is that we have to leave unfinished projects behind."
"No," Seven disagreed with a smile. "The worst thing that can happen is that a rescue party beams down and materializes right beside us while I am busy screwing your brains out."
B'Elanna snickered. "We could make a bet on whether they would interrupt or watch."
"That would depend on the members of the team," Seven pointed out amused. "What kind of ambitious projects do you mean?"
B'Elanna moved them a little. Over the last month they had spent so much time in the hammock together that they had gotten used to its limitations and its abidance to the laws of physics that they hardly ever fell out of it anymore, even during their more physical activities. So them moving only a little, enough for B'Elanna to place herself on top of her lover, was by now done with such an ease that they didn't even think about it anymore.
B'Elanna loved to lie on top of her partner, more so since Seven with her Borg enhancements didn't have any trouble with it and they had already fallen sleep several times in that position. "Well, as we kinda predicted in the beginning, I'm getting tired of the reading. And as much fun as mastering the crossbow has been, I know that too now and it's getting kinda boring. The only reason I still love it is because it's an activity I'm doing with you."
"Nice save," Seven approved. "I am willing to bet that as you were saying the word 'boring', you were thinking the words 'oh shit'. Do not worry, I know what you mean. While I still disagree on being able to hit that fly, I do know that my abilities with the bow are such that they can be easily described as excellent. More so when you add that I can 'cheat' by zooming in with my Borg eye and see targets even you with your Klingon eyesight cannot and my cranial implant can then calculate angles, wind speed, velocity and arrow drop rate. The reason why I still shoot is because it does keep me busy, and I never tire of how you look at me when I train."
"You mean with all-needing hunger in my eyes?" B'Elanna asked amused.
"That is a look I like as well," Seven partially agreed. "However, I was more talking about the look of total awe. That look as if I am the most wondrous thing in the universe and you cannot believe that you are allowed to even just look at me."
"Well, you are," B'Elanna happily admitted.
Seven put her arms behind her lover's neck and pulled her gently down for a kiss. "I love you."
"And I love you," B'Elanna replied immediately. They spend a few minutes kissing and caressing each other, just to express their love for one another, before Seven brought them back to their conversation. "What kind of more ambitious were you talking about? What is it that you want to start doing that you have not done until now?"
"A little work place," B'Elanna said. "I have replicated several tools and power tools the last month whenever we needed something for something we were doing."
"Like the welder," Seven said. "We would not have that nice roof above the door to sit under as it rains if you had not done so."
"Yep," B'Elanna agreed. "And they are beginning to take up quite some room inside. So that would be something I would do differently. I would make a little area where all the tools are stationed. Maybe even a workbench so that I don't have to build it all on the indoors table. You know, a tool rack against the wall so that I can see it all in one glance instead of having to rummage through a pile in the corner. That work bench under the rack. Maybe even a gas driven forge so that I can really play and make stuff like the blacksmith of old did it. I know we can replicate all, but I dunno, I think it would be kinda cool to replicate a lump of metal and then pound that with a hammer until it looks like an axe or something."
Seven quickly did the calculations. "I know you say gas driven forge so that you can replicate gas canisters and connect them. If we use Jiaron gas, I estimate you could have a forge burning for thirty minute on a temperature to make most metals pliable. Unless you want to make the forge so big that you could heat the entire object you are working on. Then you would need for instance three burners for a half meter long object."
B'Elanna grinned. It was one of the things, many things, she loved about Seven. The blonde never shot an idea down unless it was just silly talk made for the fun of the silliness. Instead, the blonde started talking limitations and what they needed to do to make something possible. "Nah, one burner is enough. I know that blacksmith normally only heat the part that they are going to work on. What use is it to heat an entire sword for instance, if you are only going to pound ten centimeters of it with a hammer? The heating of the entire thing only comes at the end if metal gets tempered."
"Still, thirty minutes is a short time," Seven persisted. "It would basically mean that you would have to attach a new gas canister each time you want to reheat something."
B'Elanna shook her head. "Not necessarily. Not if we were to use the burner to heat something else instead. I know we made a deal in the beginning. Since we have a fully workable replicator, and a climate controlled home, we would try to live low impact. The bath we could do because it's just a hole in the earth after the foam decays. That's why we had to reapply the foam twice already. We agreed that we wouldn't go chopping down trees just because we want to add another room for instance. But on our daily strolls we have seen more than enough downed trees. We could chop one of them up and burn the wood in the forge. The embers could then heat stuff and all that is needed is a bit of gas as fuel to keep the rest burning at a temperature I need. Like that, a gas canister that fits in the replicator should last me a couple of hours."
Seven nodded thoughtfully. "That could work. If the first thing we replicate is a fire extinguisher. If we start making fires, I want to make sure that we do not start a wildfire just because a piece of burning wood flew out of the furnace."
"But of course," B'Elanna readily agreed. She really wasn't that worried about it, but she knew the old saying of 'better safe than sorry' only too well. As an engineer, it had saved her live more than once. Besides, it was kinda cute how Seven had turned out to be the environmentalist of them. Luckily it had not gone into extremes. Seven had no problem at all using a tree as an impromptu bow target for instance. Even though the arrows also damaged the tree. But she knew that a tree could easily recover from that. Seven would however not allow them to chop down a tree so that they could use the wood to make furniture.
And as if reading her lover's thoughts, Seven said, "And if we are thinking about more ambitious projects, maybe we can rethink our... my... standpoint of not using wood."
Hearing the correction, B'Elanna corrected back, "Our. I see your point on it. Sure, I would have used wood, but I see your point. I didn't fight you on it so that my definition means that my stance on it is the same as yours. Our."
"Very well," Seven happily agreed. "Still, you just as a valid point. We come across quite some downed trees. It is after all the cycle of life. While I still stand on the fact that we should not harvest living trees for our benefit, we could use those downed trees for potential projects. Because they would have decayed in the wild, and they will eventually decay here. It is the same."
Cool, so I can start making some wood furniture?" B'Elanna asked happily.
"You want to?" Seven countered. "When it first came up that we would need to make some furniture you talked about using wood. I suggested that we could replicate materials and make the furniture from that. You did not argue the point."
"Because you had a point," B'Elanna reminded. "We could, and have, used materials from the replicator. But this is different. If I were to use wood, it would be more just something I use to do something that keeps me busy. Just like making that axe I just talked about. Replicating an axe will be a lot faster than making one and probably even look better. But part of the fun is to spend time making something and then use it and be proud of the fact that you made it. Same with making furniture. Making a nice comfy chair would keep me busy for a few days. And then I have to admit that I would prefer wood over the stuff we made until now. Wood is just a lot... warmer... I guess. Not physically, but I mean it feels nicer and smells nice too."
"It is quite easy to add a second designated beaming location to the computer. Instead of being beamed into the cargo bay, items could be, for instance, be beamed to a spot ten meters away from the shuttle. We could then add a transporter beacon to a downed tree that we have cut to a proper length and beam it here. It would take energy. However, still less than we are 'burning off' now by using the shields at night. We could compensate by setting the shield strength a little lower if you still want to aim for those fifty years before antimatter runs out."
"Sounds like a plan," B'Elanna happily agreed. "But as sure as I am that you will be right at my side helping me, this is my project. So tell me, babe, what is your project?"
"I am supposed to have one?" Seven asked. "Besides the very ambitious project of making love to you as often as reasonable possible, that is?"
B'Elanna laughed and started to let a hand roam over the naked body under her. "Yes, besides that. Nothing you want to try? You said you are getting bored of the bow practice. Nothing else you want to try to keep you busy?"
Seven thought about that for a moment. "Now that you mention it, there has been something. It may not be as ambitious as your project, but it is something I have been thinking about."
"Alright, spit it out," B'Elanna said.
"B'Elanna, your lips are only a fraction away from mine. Spitting anything out at this moment would be, as you would call it, gross," Seven teased.
B'Elanna moved down a little until she could suck one of Seven's nipples into her mouth. She captured it between her teed before mumbling around it, "I dunno. It all depends on what's in your mouth."
"That makes no sense at all," Seven objected. "As much as I like when you do that, at best you merely release my nipple. You do not spit it out."
B'Elanna chucked and moved back up so that she could kiss her lover. "True. But I had to think of something to do, or say 'very funny'. And sucking your nipple is a lot more fun to do. So tell me, what have you been thinking off?"
"Cooking," Seven said. "As you know even to this day I cannot replicate food that tastes good. Even if I use a pattern you stored, it somehow tastes differently than when you replicate it. It is technically impossible since the pattern did not change, yet somehow it tastes different, as if the replicator is sentient and doesn't really like me."
"True," B'Elanna had to admit. "Well, I don't think it's sentient, but I will freely admit that I have ran out of things I could bring up to explain it. It just doesn't make any sense. As we tested in the second week, I think? I replicate something, then you replicate the exact same thing, pushing the same buttons, using the same pattern, and yet you can taste a difference. So, you want to start replicating more food to learn how to do it just right?"
"No," Seven disagreed. "What I was thinking is that maybe one of your favorite jokes actually holds some truth. You like to tease me about working with the computer being so easy for me because I can talk to machines from one machine to another."
"Because I know you find it funny," B'Elanna said. Wanting it to be very clear that she didn't say it to hurt her lover.
"I do," Seven assured. "However, the point I am trying to make is that maybe you are correct. Maybe I have such trouble with replicating items because I am talking to the replicator from machine to machine, so to speak. A replicator does not know how food is supposed to taste; it just replicates it. And though I can taste, I do not know how to 'tweak' the taste by changing replicator files. So maybe what I do instead is 'tweak' the taste by creating food from its base components. That way I will learn that I need to sprinkle 'just a bit more' of this on a food instead of having to try and add 0.02 grams more herbs."
"And I assume that with base components you mean still use the replicator, but only to replicate, say, raw meat, so that you can then cook it and while you are cooking it, you can do the real chef thing and taste things as you go along so that you know right there that you need to add a bit more of this so that the end result will taste like that?"
Yes," Seven agreed. "There are a lot or recipes in the computer. I could use those as a base for knowing how to make something in general, and then change small things to fit our tastes. There will then also be the added bonus that preparing food like this takes time. It will keep me busy more than just the time it takes to eat it."
"Alright," B'Elanna said thoughtfully. "If you want to make food like that, you need stuff. Pans, pots, knives, a heat source, stuff like that. We don't have to room for that inside."
"That I know," Seven agreed.
"So how about we take it outside instead?" B'Elanna asked. We could make our work place on the other side of the shuttle and on this side we keep more the living side. As we do now anyway. We have the bath and the hammock here. If we aren’t around the shuttle door, we are on this side. So what we could do is build you a big ass grill over there against the shuttle. And I just call it a grill just because it's outside. I'm thinking the works. A grill part for the open fire thing, and hot plates to cook on in pots, maybe even so real hot plates for making pancakes on and cook meat without a pan. And beside it we could make a little sink it so that we don't have to run inside to the replicator with every dirty fork to get a new one. Of course, we will have to make sure that we use some of the sonic heads around it to keep insects away from the food."
"That could work," Seven agreed happily. "I will look at food preparation stations tonight, so see if I find something that fits my needs and that we can actually build here. I will also research which gas we can best use for a heat source. Jiaron gas burn hot and is therefore good for in a forge. It is however not something you want to use for preparing food. At least not if you still want to taste the flavor of the food."
"Grills normally use gas or charcoal," B'Elanna pointed out. "Even if it is a gas grill, they still tend to work by the burning gas heating something else, like fake coals. We could replicate both charcoal and coal. We could simply replicate the charcoal and use the real stuff. Come to think of it, since we will be building the thing, we could just do both. We could make a part that is fueled by charcoal, and then have another part where gas heats some fake coals and we get the heat from that. Both ways have benefits. The fake stuff burns cleaner and gives better tasting food. On the other hand, some foods actually taste better if the flavor of the smoke from burning charcoal seeps into the food. You can actually flavor foods by burning certain wood cuttings on the coals to get certain smokes. And there we wouldn't even have to experiment since we can replicate wood shavings and it would be like an extra ingredient. As in, 'oh, today we are grilling this, better add some oak, oh no, wait, cherry will go better with it'."
"I will give the matter some more thought tonight," Seven assured. Then she looked over at where B'Elanna had suggested they could build the cooking station. "I do however notice that if we build the station where you suggested, you have a perfect view of what I am doing from here. Do you think you can handle that? Lay here and look at me preparing food? See me move, watch my ass as you love to do, and then not get horny?"
B'Elanna laughed. "That's the fun part of it baby. No, I won't be able to handle it. But I know that preparing food goes along with times where nothing needs doing. And as you wait for the vegetables to cook, I'll give in to my urges and come over to you. Then I'll kneel shamelessly in front of you and lean in to already eat some dessert. Think you would like that baby? For me to eat you between the meat going on the grill and you having to turn it over?"
Seven smiled. "In that case I would suggest that the first wooden furniture we build is a rather large and sturdy bench that we can utilize while we wait for food to cook. As much as I love it when you take me like that. I like other positions as well."
B'Elanna grinned. "Alright, in that case, as you are looking at cooking stations tonight, I'll see if I can design a nice bench that would fit our needs." Then B'Elanna deliberately left a gap of a few seconds before adding. "I love you baby. Never forget that. I talk sex a lot because I love sex. I love sex, and I love to make love to you. But as much fun as that is, above all, the one thing I would never be able to live without now, is your love. I love you more than my life. You make my life perfect."
Seven was struck with silence. Both of them made sure to tell the other a few times per day that they loved each other. But every once in a while, B'Elanna would throw in a declaration like that and it never failed to stun Seven into silence.
B'Elanna merely kissed her, understanding the stunned silence completely. Trust be told, she never had been someone to sprout nice words. Around B'Elanna, the fact that she wasn't annoyed with you should be considered a compliment all by itself. But with Seven the words somehow came like B'Elanna had no control over them. Which made it all the more special for the blonde. It was, B'Elanna had long since decided, a pretty damn cool combination.
They decided to forgo words for a while and instead simply enjoyed each other's closeness. It was finally Seven who continued the conversation. "As interesting as both these projects sound, they still do not really sound that ambitious. As you say yourself; something that will keep us busy for a few days. I think what we need is a bigger project to keep us busy for a while."
"I'm cool with that," B'Elanna agreed. "I just don't have an idea as to what. Isn't this how this whole conversation kinda started? With us thinking of what we were going to do in case Voyager really doesn't show? And all that came up were the projects we just discussed."
"True," Seven agreed. She looked over to the side before suggesting, "Maybe we could hide the shuttle a bit? I like the benefits it gives us and I am glad we decided to stay here. However, you have to admit that it does not really fit into the environment. Since we just discussed using wood of downed trees, maybe we could build wooden walls around the shuttle before we build the work and food station. That way it will look like we are living in a cabin. It will fit more with the nature around it."
"I guess we could do that," B'Elanna agreed. "If we really want to have a long term project. If Voyager does show up and we do take the shuttle with us, it's not that hard to knock down a few wooden walls around it and maybe a roof over it. We could make a window where the cockpit is and still watch out into the forest. But if we do that, then why don't we really make it ambitious? We could replace the roof we have up in front of the door with a wooden roof kind of thing that keeps the sun out. We could make it all around the shuttle, well the cabin we build around the shuttle then, and also have the work and food area covered. Well, I guess in front of the door we would have to make it completely water tight so that we can still sit there when it rains."
"Actually," Seven said, warming even more to the idea, "We could build the wooden walls not directly against the shuttle but a few meters away. That would give us an extra room on either side of the shuttle between the wooden wall and the shuttle itself."
B'Elanna chuckled. "And you would have the same problem again; you would see the shuttle if you are in the room. But what we could do is make a wooden wall against the shuttle and then attach a room to that on either side like you just said. I'm just curious why you are suggesting extra rooms."
"Because not all that we are collecting are tools that can be placed around your work station," Seven reminded. We still have stacks of devices we replicated in the beginning to have the them in case the replicator broke. All of it is stacked against the walls, but still is taking up room. If we were to add one or two rooms outside the shuttle, we could start storing items there and the shuttle will seem to have more room because all of the clutter is gone."
"Makes sense," B'Elanna admitted. "But if we start that, we really are talking big project here. We are talking months. It's not just the building, but also fining suitable wood, beaming it, preparing it, cutting it into sizes we can carry."
"It will make us get to terms with the fact that we will be here long," Seven reminded. "That we are building a home. While we still hope for a rescue, we prepare for if it never comes. If it truly never comes, we will merely shift into day to day living. If Voyager does show up and we leave, at least we were kept busy."
B'Elanna nodded. "Alright, how about we design that together tonight? You do your cooking station, I do the work station, but this we design together."
"That sounds nice," Seven agreed. She hesitated before asking, "Will we ever talk about the 'what if'? And I do not mean what we did just now. Not about preparing for living here. I mean about, what if Voyager does not come and we will never see our friends anymore?"
"You need to talk about it?" B'Elanna asked gently, making sure that her tone conveyed that she was more than willing to talk if her lover needed to talk.
"Not now," Seven said. "We talk about our friends on a daily basis at the moment. I do not feel like we have lost them. However, the more we get used to being here, the more we will realize that we might ever see them again."
"We will talk about that when we need to," B'Elanna decided. "But right now, I miss my friends, no mistake. But I don't... I think it's because we are the ones that are lost. I'm sure that if I was on Voyager and Kathryn, Tom or Harry were here, I would be worried sick about them. But we are here and we know they are alright there. They didn’t die, we didn't lose them in some tragic event. We merely can't see them. Just like they moved to a different planet. We miss them, but we are sure they are just fine. I for one prefer to think of it that way. Call it delusional, but it works for me."
"I believe you have a point," Seven agreed. "More so since there is also the time aspect. As far as we know, Voyager has not even been built yet, our friends have not even been born. We know about their lives, and that it still has to happen. And that they cannot worry about us for that very reason. Someone that has not yet been born cannot worry."
"Kinda hard to worry if you aren’t born yet," B'Elanna agreed. "The only worry we can have for them is what will happen to them if we cannot be rescued, if we are dead of old age millennia before they even arrive. When time finally catches up. They would have to move on without us. Still, even there, I'm sorry to say it baby, but Voyager survived four years without you on board so we have proven that they can do without you. And as for me, Carey is an excellent engineer, he would have been right to get that job as Chief Engineer. Kathryn once told me this in a moment of, um,"
"Weakness," Seven helpfully supplied, both of them realizing only too well that they were moving more and more to talking about Kathryn as just a friend like the others, and downplaying that she was more to them both at some point.
"Weakness," B'Elanna repeated. "Told me that her choice between Carey and me was leaning just a bit more towards him, but that it was tipped towards me by the fact that Chakotay was pushing me forward for the job. She knew that if Chakotay was going to be her first officer, the last thing she needed to do was start fighting him from the first minute about personnel decisions, which falls in the First officer's department and where the Captain approves, or not, choices made."
"Captains can, and do, make position decisions," Seven noted. "Even if Chakotay had pushed more, Kathryn could have told him that she was going to pick Carey."
"I'm not arguing that," B'Elanna agreed. "But the point is that if would have caused friction between her and Chakotay from the beginning, and if you have two equally skilled engineers and you are not sure who to pick, then such an outside influence of wanting smooth sailing can make all the difference. More so since her biggest problem with me was that I was an unknown factor to her. She only had Chakotay's word for the fact that I knew what I was doing. Well, and Tuvok I guess. Nah, Carey can easily replace me in Engineering, and he does so often as my second in command. In fact, on some things he is a better engineer than I, I just win overall because I beat him on creative thinking. Baby, as little as we both want to hear it, on the ship, as working people, we are both replaceable. So I don't really worry about them because they might not even be alive yet, and if they can't help us, I'm pretty sure that they will continue to survive without us."
"So what you are basically saying is," Sever surmised, "That we should start our bigger projects, and stop living like we might be rescued tomorrow. Instead we live like we will not, and like we are the only two people in the word. It is an interesting change, because in the beginning it was me that suggested we should do things with the mindset of being here for a long time, and you insisted that it would only be for a short time."
B'Elanna shrugged. "Getting used to the situation, I guess. Then we had just survived a crash, and discovered some freakily bad news. Now, well baby, I can think of worse things than being stuck in paradise with you and having all I could ever need material, or emotional, at hand."
Seven look down at their hands, the ones that were entwined now after B'Elanna had done so at the word 'emotional'. "So you do not have a problem with us two being the only people in this world. As you would say, you can live with that?"
B'Elanna grinned. "Well, I guess I gotta, since we are."
"Not counting some unknown entity that might or might not be on the planet," Seven couldn't help but add.
"Spoilsport," B'Elanna said with a fake pout. "Nah, I like the sound of us being the only people in the world much more. Besides, saying that we are the only people in the world makes the old joke work."
"What joke?" Seven asked confused.
"Oh, come now, Sev, don't tell me you don't know that one?"
A confused frown indicated that Seven clearly had no idea what the Klingon was talking about.
"Alright," B'Elanna relented. "It's like this, there are two people stuck in some place together, and one has the hots for the other, but the other can't stand the first one. So the first one says something along the lines of, 'well, we could of course have some sex to pass the time,' and the second one then says, 'I wouldn't sleep with you even if you were the last person in the world."
"I see," Seven said in understanding, "But that joke is flawed compared to this situation. Because that would mean that there would still not be any sex because there are the words 'not even if'."
"Hmm, there is that," B'Elanna had to agree. "I could cheat and bank on the fact that I happen to know that you have the hots for me too. So, I can take a bit of a risk and daringly say, "Seven, we are the only people in the world, so there ain't no better choices around, want to have sex with little old me to pass the time?"
Seven kissed her lover, "Lana, even if there were billions of people on this planet, there would still not be a better choice for me. I love you, and I am going to make love to you, right now... again a might add. You are my flawed perfection. Only other person in the world and all."

Thousands of kilometers away, a bovine lifted its head, hearing a soft sound out of place. It was the last voluntary move of its ending life, for the arrow that had just burrowed into its neck had cut the artery in half.
~~~
Three years. (on the day exact.)
B'Elanna crossed her arms and nodded in approval as she looked at the image in front of her. It had taken many different projects over a lot of time, but now she had finished tying them all together to look as one. She was quite pleased with herself.
You could no longer see the shuttle unless you were in it. Not that it mattered much since so many altercations had been made over time that the shuttle would need weeks of repairs and a lot of new parts to be space worthy again. In the beginning they had been careful to only do things that could be fixed in minutes.
The water line to the bath was an example of that. Carefully laid so that the line would go through one of the few places where an access hatch lined up at the in and outside hull of the shuttle. But as time went on more and more focus was given to making stuff look nice, and less to how it impacted the shuttles fight capabilities.
By the time they extended the air-conditioning into the new rooms they had reached a stage where the holes for it were cut in the hull in a place where you wouldn't see the lines later, which had resulted in cutting away part of a supporting strut. Not that it mattered for how the shuttle was used now. You could put several tons of weight on top of it and the strut would still hold. But in space, where there was a vacuum on one side and pressure on the other side... not so much.
Over time the shuttle had become more the bed and bathroom area of the cabin. With the replicator and first aid units still having a spot of prominence that B'Elanna doubted they would ever lose. But most of their time was now spend in one of the six other rooms that had been added over the years. Their living room was three times as large as the shuttle. Too big really, but it was the first room they had built with clear mind of extending their home with more than just places for storage, or putting walls around an outside place they spent a lot of time at. And they had wanted some room to move in. Besides, it had its benefits. It meant that a lot of the smaller projects they did to keep busy could be done inside. B'Elanna loved how tolerant Seven was there. Seven was a neat person and wanted things to be clean and in their place. Yet she gamely tolerated B'Elanna making all kinds of messes in the living room with whatever kind of thing she was learning to do that month. As long as B'Elanna cleaned up the mess once done; and a very smart B'Elanna of course always did so.
The creation of their home had been a slow one step at a time process, and never a full worked out plan, until now at the end they had made a plan to tie it all into one package by making a few changes that would give a more harmonious appearance to it all.
Seven's outside cooking station had been build, and just for the visuals of it, the canvas roof had been replaced with a wooden one so that it would blend in with the wooden wall that had been built around the shuttle. And then, well, might as well put some walls up and make it an inside cooking area with a smaller grill once more on the outside that was used for those times where grilling the food was not just preparing food, but more the event and eating was just a side benefit.
On the other side, B'Elanna's work area had been build, and when the Klingon could one again not use the forge one day because there was an unfavorable wind, it was decided that there too walls would be build, only that this room would have one wall missing so that B'Elanna still had the feeling of working outside.
And so, all the projects that demanded a new room to be build made perfect sense, and were done. The shuttle door no longer opened directly to the outside, instead it opened into a little room with one door that led outside, and one door at either side that led to the other rooms so that they could walk into each of the rooms of their home without ever going outside now if they wanted.
And then there had come the latest project; to finally make it all look like one building that had been built at once and according to a rational plan.
When they had started building years ago, the windows had been crude and basic; just a thin sheet of transparent aluminum in a wooden frame with hinges on one side, and a latch on the other. And a stick to prop it open if they wanted fresh air. Now they had all been replaced by the newest design. Transparent aluminum was still used as the windowpanes, but now the windows were much winder with two rows of three panes being tied in with an expertly finished wooden cross frame. The window could now open fully or be propped open in six different angles thanks to the metal hardware.
Three years of nothing to do with thirty hour days gave a lot of time to practice, and the forest around them gave an apparently infinite source of wood to play with. They still lived by their first idea of only using downed trees and yet they had never been a need for freshly cut wood. Apparently the trees where of a kind there the wood was still usable years after a tree had died or had been blown over. Since both of them enjoyed working with their hands, they practiced and build together, but in most of their building, B'Elanna fulfilled the role of main builder, and Seven the role of the skilled helper. They both preferred it that way.
B'Elanna had just put the last plank into place on the new porch that was all around their now severely enlarged home. Above the porch was a thin roof made up of thin straight branches being placed besides each other so that the roof provided shade, and yet didn't give a closed in feeling.
B'Elanna loved it. More so since as rustic as it looked, they had extended modern conforms as they expanded. A active warp core could power a small city, let alone a multi room cabin. And so, power had been placed in every room, as had lights. Water in the rooms where it made sense, like the kitchen and out on the porch. And not to forget, the air-conditioning had been extended into all closed rooms.
After three years on the planet, they were well adapted to the temperature that stayed pretty average year out, with only about ten degrees Celsius up or down depending on weather factors. Only in the midst of the summer and winder season might the temperature change a bit more. Yet, they had never seen a reason to stop using the air conditioning. Why? They could start doing that if for some reason the warp core ever stopped working. Not that this was likely to happen any time soon. They made a point out of checking it once every day, and just as Seven had predicted three years before, with the warp engine merely running at idle there was no real wear and tear. Everything was exactly how here Mate had calculated it, even down to the antimatter usage. Not that this surprised her much. After all, Seven was perfect; full stop.
'Speak of the devil,' B'Elanna thought as she saw the women she had been thinking of step out of their home. Seven was dressed in a sports bra, shorts, and nothing else; as B'Elanna herself was, with the exception that B'Elanna did have on safety shoes while working with tools. She had dropped a hammer on her bare foot once, and never wanted to repeat that again. For the rest they had long ago stopped using shoes around the home though. Sharp rocks had long been found and removed and in the anteroom, as they had started to call the small room where the doors of the shuttle, two the sides and to the outside came together, lay a sonic mat that cleaned feet close to serialization simply by walking over it.
Over time the sports bra and shorts had become the standard choice of both of them if they decided to get dressed at all. On one of their many lazy days, they normally didn't bother to get dressed at all. Of course, they were still smart enough to dress to occasion. Protective clothing if working at the forge, an apron when cooking, sturdy shoes and clothing if going into the woods, and all that rationally accompanied that. But for the rest, why bother with more? They were still drinking the bug repellant each day, so even bugs left them alone and were no reason for long sleeves or protective clothing.
Seven's ivory skin had long since been caressed by the sunlight. But since her nanoprobes repaired skin damage the skin had only darkened to a tint that rivaled B'Elanna's caramel skin color. B'Elanna on the other hand was half Klingon and her skin was designed by nature to handle a lot more than this star had been throwing at her, so she still had the same skin tone she had three years ago. B'Elanna smirked. Not that the sexy blonde had any tanning lines. She was nude often enough that her entire skin had the same tone; and B'Elanna loved it.
Seven had long since stopped putting her hair in a bun and instead now preferred to wear her hair in a simple pony tail that was so long that it stopped only just above the blonde's behind. It had even been a little longer one, but Seven got irritated by pulling on her own har each time she sat down and accidentally sat on her own hair. But Seven really liked having her long hair, so the length she had now had become her compromise. As long as it could be without her literally sitting on it when she parked her butt.
B'Elanna's hair was longer now too, but she preferred to keep it at a length where it was just above her nipples if dry and she preferred to have her hair hanging loos. Since she had stopped straightening her hair, it had once again taken on its wavy state, as it was normal for Klingons. So when wet and hanging straight down it was about ten centimeters longer. When it dried and got its wavy appearance it made B'Elanna look more Klingon; a look she had deliberately avoided on Voyager, but liked now since it was actually the easiest to maintain, and Seven loved it.
They were both lucky that way. Since the hairstyle they preferred to have, was exactly the hairstyle their partner loved to see them with the most. Years ago when they had just landed they had a discussion about how long hair could be a nuisance when making love, and Seven had long since discovered that her even longer hair took care of that problem extremely well. Because now she could simply put it over one shoulder out of the way, and its length made sure that it could not fall back.
"Hey sexy," B'Elanna greeted as Seven reached her. They exchanged a quick kiss, it was so natural by now that neither of them even realized that they did it. But they sure always noticed the times when a kiss was not exchanged for some reason.
Whey they fought for instance. Nowadays their fights weren’t as they had been on Voyager, those fights had been fun. Now they loved each other, knew every little detail, knew exactly what comments could hurt. Now their fights were downright nasty, words were said to cut, meant to hurt. It always resulted in one, or both, of them crying at the end of it. It was a fact of life. They were individuals that spend pretty much every minute of the day together. Sometimes, their otherwise magical chemistry was off, with a painful explosion as result.
Luckily these moments were few and far between. The times it had happened could be counted on one hand, and just as important, there might be in explosion and they might go to bed angry. But they still went to sleep in the same bed. The 'I love you' that hadn't been there on the evening before, was always there on the next morning. Just as the apology, the counter apology, the serious words as the problem was talked out, and, just to end it on a good note, the incredibly makeup sex after. A little tradition they both loved and relished.
Seven handed a glass to her lover. "I noticed that the banging has stopped, so I figured that you might want this."
B'Elanna took a sip of what had become her favorite drink; non-alcoholic blood wine. Rough and tough Klingons would cry in outrage at the mere suggestion of having the drink be free of alcohol, but B'Elanna had always liked the taste of it, just not the headache when she drank too much of it. And now, after a bit of experimenting by Seven, the drink still tasted like normal blood wine, but B'Elanna could drink it to her heart's content. So, it had become her default drink of choice. "Thanks babe. Yep, the banging stopped. It's done, what do ya think?"
Seven took a moment to inspect the porch. "I think that it looks almost as good as you. You outdid yourself."
"I had good help," B'Elanna countered. Which was true. Seven had helped with most of it. Just that there hadn't been much the blonde could do to help when B'Elanna had been hammering the boards into place so she had opted to go get a drink instead. "Besides, if you hadn't come up with that idea for that laser saw those planks would not have been so perfectly straight. If we had used that rotary saw I was thinking of we would have moved during the sawing. But now, place the laser, activate it, and look as it burn perfectly straight plants. And the best part is, since we use that Vulcan laser there isn't even any black burn marks to sand off. Just cut it and you have perfectly smooth planks that don't have any nasty splinters or ugly black burn marks."
Seven smiled." We have become so good and complimenting each other."
B'Elanna sipped her drink. "Well, it's true. I think we just started to voice our appreciation because it is more talking. Passes the time."
"That is true as well," Seven agreed. She hesitated for a moment before breaching the thing she had been thinking of. "Today it is exactly three years since we landed on this planet. I assumed that the isolation would drive us insane. However with the exception of the occasional day of 'cabin fever' as you call it I enjoyed every day here; I still do."
"So do I," B'Elanna assured. "If you had told me three years ago that I would be contend to stay in one spot for years and be satisfied with having just some hobbies to keep me busy, I would called you insane. Well, some hobbies and you to keep me busy that is."
Seven smiled at the correction before suggesting, "Then maybe it is time for the next step?"
"The next step?" B'Elanna repeated. Then she guessed, "You mean, see this as permanent and not just temporary?"
Seven Hesitated for a moment. "Yes and no. "In a way I think we already have started to see this as permanent. We have settled in, we have stopped wondering when we would be rescued, we have adapted the shuttle to the point where the only way it will ever leave the planet again is by being beamed off, and we started to do projects with a mindset that it will have to last longer than a month."
She nodded her head in the direction of the bathtub. "Where once we used spray-on foam that breaks down into its base components after two weeks, we finally gave in and make the tub from stainless steel two years ago. So I think all in all we should simply go on living as we have."
"Then what is that next step?" B'Elanna wondered.
"I think that both of us would still like for Voyager to come to our rescue and take us away from here," Seven stated confidently. "This because then we would be back in our old home, with friends and a purpose in life. Even if that purpose is to maintain Voyager and help her get back to the Alpha Quadrant. So I think that we should continue to send out the message we sent out for Voyager on the Federation frequency and coding."
B'Elanna nodded her agreement.
"However," Seven continued, "We have also been sending out the looped mayday on broad frequency in case another species might come by that has the technology to understand it and save us. I am suggesting that we stop with that message. Because if someone that we do not know would save us it would mean that we would still be in a place that we do not know with people we do not know and would have to start a new life. In that case, I would prefer to continue the life we now have here."
"There are risks to staying here," B'Elanna pointed out. "If we didn't have the replicator and access to a medical database, I would have died twice and you once already from diseases born on this planet. Your nanoprobes can deal with germs and viruses, but in that case we first had to look at the Federation database to find something similar and give your nanoprobes information to work with."
"True," Seven agreed. "However, we would have the same problem on any other planet, and on top of that might have to deal with getting killed by aliens that think that our technology is more interesting than we are. Just because someone has the technology to find us, does not mean that they are benevolent. What if we were found by a species like the Hirogen?"
"Good point," B'Elanna had to agree. "Alright, only a message for Voyager it is. And now that we agreed to that, I can admit that I kinda like the idea. In a way it's nice to no longer have to wonder if we will be leaving this place."
Seven smiled. "It's interesting that you would say that. You, the person that was once adamant that Voyager would save us."
B'Elanna shrugged. "They still might. But things change over time, and three years is a long time for the 'this place isn't bad and I wouldn't mind living here forever' feeling to seep in."
"We will have to reset the strength of the shield settings at night," Seven reminded.
"We do?" B'Elanna asked before walking over to one of the four benches they had around the place now. This one was long enough for even Seven to stretch out on and take a little nap if she wanted to. "Come on, let's sit in the shade for a moment."
"We do," Seven said as she sat down. As she did so she noticed amused that despite the fact that they now had furniture with more than enough room, they still sat in a way as if each centimeter of space was at a premium. She pulled B'Elanna against her and took her in a loose embrace. "This because it means that our way of thinking will have to change. Before we aimed for the antimatter to run out when we would reach the fifty year mark. This because by that time we would have either be rescued or made a choice to live here. However, we are making that choice to stay here today. Therefore the fifty year line is totally useless. And the last thing we want is to keep using the antimatter as we have and then run out when we are getting old and really do need the benefits of it."
"Good point," B'Elanna had to agree. "But we still have to aim for a line that is not long after the two of us have died of old age. Because if we set it at two hundred years that would leave a long time for the automated systems to break down and still leave a lot of antimatter lying around to explode when hit by a shovel by some explorer a thousand years from now."
"Or the Voyager crew five thousand years from now if they find a way to get here and bypass the time problem," Seven noted.
"Now that would be truly ironic," B'Elanna said. "They find way to bypass the time issue, and we blow them up with left behind antimatter. So... we have been aiming for fifty years. Why don't we simply double that and aim for burning it all off in a hundred years? A hundred years from now I mean? I'm thirty-three now, you are thirty, I sincerely doubt that either of us will live to be a hundred and thirty."
"True," Seven had to agree. "Though technically we both can live to be older than a hundred and fifty."
"We can?" B'Elanna asked surprised. "I know that pure Klingons can live to be over a hundred and fifty, but I was always told that I would lean more to my Human side there."
Seven smiled. "Yes, Human Doctors told the person that prefers to be a Human that she leans towards her Human side. And this surprises you?"
"Bitch," B'Elanna shot back. "Guess you got a point there. Human looking at my DNA will probably be more inclined to see more Human than Klingon there. But what makes you think that they were wrong and I mean more to the Klingon side?"
"Because there is a clear difference between Humans and Klingons that makes it easy to see, if you have time to observe," Seven explained. "With Humans the aging curve is more stretched out. It takes Humans longer to grow into adulthood then Klingons, while you grew up at the Klingon speed, as you have told me. But more to the point, once grown up the body starts to deteriorate again. Though hardly noticeable, someone at age thirty will be in a better condition than someone at age fourth, and definitely noticeably better than someone at age fifty. Not counting for diseases and keeping in shape, or not. But even there the skin will show the difference. No matter what else you do to try to hide it, the skin still ages and does tell. People often talk about flawless skin as a sign of youth, and in a way this is true. But simply because older skin has had more time for flaws to show up."
"But not with Klingons," B'Elanna said in understanding. "With Klingons the... focus... so to say, is in different places. With Klingons head ridges start to become more prominent with old age. And where Humans can get gray hair at an early age, Klingons only get it when past eighty years at least. With Klingons it truly is a sign of old age. And the body turns reserves faster into fat. Which is why you hardly see a fat young Klingon, but most get more... filled out... when getting older. Unless they deliberately keep in shape. An old Klingon that keeps in shape can have a better looking body than some new kid from the academy."
"Yes," Seven said. "And if they choose to not to more exercise and instead just live as they have been, the men tend to get more of a stomach, while with the women the fat reserves tend to go with more in the chest and behind."
B'Elanna chuckled. "And that is why men don't worry too much about keeping in shape because even though they get a belly, they don't get to get really obese. While women have to start working out to keep the lean body they once took for granted. Still there is something to be said for being able to get bigger boobs simply by eating more. Can you imagine, me eating some more sweet stuff and having boobs like yours within a week or two?"
"You are too young yet for the fat reserves to only stick in those two places," Seven reminded. "Besides, I like your breasts just the way they are. However, for this discussion the important part to focus on is skin. As I said, Human skin shows clear differences over a shorter time. You see a difference ten years later. With Klingon skin this is not the case. The skin of a young adult looks just as smooth as the skin of an older adult, bar potential small scars and whatnot. Only at a very older age can you see skin start to wrinkle. You will not see the difference between the skin of someone that is thirty years old and someone that is sixty years old."
"Alright," B'Elanna agreed, "And the point of that is?"
"The point is that, as you know, I have an eye for detail," Seven reminded, "And if you would lean more to the Human side, then your skin would now look slightly older than three years ago. Only slightly. You with your eyes would not even notice the difference, but I would. However, there is no difference. Your skin looks exactly as it did three years ago."
"Why base it only on the last three years?" B'Elanna wondered. "You know me longer than that."
Seven chuckled. "I do. However, it is only three years now that I am able to do things like this," At the word 'this' a breast was gently cupped, "and only three years now that my eyes are only centimeters away from your skin on a regular basis."
"Well, there is that," B'Elanna had to agree. "But what about you? You are Human."
"I am Borg," Seven disagreed. "With nanoprobes that maintain my body and because of that prolong my life longer than that of a normal Human. They will also maintain my skin for as long as I live. It will be the failure of other origins that will eventually end my existence. Maintaining skin is an easy task. It is, in case you ever wondered, also the reason that I can tell you already now that my body will look exactly like this fifty years from now, and that despite their size, my breasts shape will not change nor will their position change."
"No drooping," B'Elanna clarified with a chuckle. "But your nanoprobes weren’t able to stop your skin from getting a tint."
"They could have," Seven said. "However, they did not because it was more beneficial not to. This tint is enough to stop the harmful radiation from the sun, yet not too dark to also stop the beneficial radiation. It is because of this that from now I will have this tint until I die, or never go outside anymore, or leave the planet."
"Alright," B'Elanna said, getting them back on track, "So I got my Klingon genes and you got your Borg genes, aka nanoprobes before you ask, which assures is that technically we both can live to be older than 130. So you saying we should set the line back further? Shoot for the antimatter to run out in 120 years from now?"
Seven thought about that for a moment. "Actually, now that we have run out of projects to do and have to start thinking of something else to keep us busy, why not combine that with a creating a better safety margin."
B'Elanna merely tilted her head and looked back up at her lover.
"All we do, all the calculations, is to make sure that the antimatter runs out fast, yet not too fast. It is a delicate balance and I have to readjust the strength of the shields almost daily by a fraction to compensate for extra things we replicated or new ideas, or extra beaming of wood that took more energy. Not that I mind; it is one of those little daily task that keeps me busy, just like I do not mind at all that I am the one that cooks every day."
B'Elanna merely smiled, remembering the discussion they had about that subject almost half a year before. Seven's approach of trying to learn cooking from scratch with base ingredients had, after a bit of practice, turned out extremely well. So much so that B'Elanna preferred it over replicated food now and they only replicated food when Seven wasn't in the mood for cooking. B'Elanna had brought up that she though it wasn't fair to Seven that she did all the cooking to which Seven, being Seven, had listed all the tasks they had that needed doing and how they were divided. And of course, the blonde had a point. Yeah, Seven did all the cooking, but on the flip side it was B'Elanna that did all the cleaning around the house.
B'Elanna had never really noticed that she had started to do that. But, as Seven once again explained, the reason was that B'Elanna did it divided over the day, days. Today she worked at her forge, she cleaned up when finished, and well, she had that broom in her hand and sweeping one of the rooms inside quickly, well. Whereas cooking simply demanded a focused point and time of creation that was much more noticeable.
"However," Seven continued, "It is a task that could just as easily be replaced by me checking a new device once every day."
"The new project, once it's finished," B'Elanna guessed. "And that would be what... a new kind of shield emitter, since you bring up the antimatter use."
Seven shook her head. "No, it would be an antimatter collector."
B'Elanna chuckled, "Babe, we are trying to get rid of the stuff; not make more."
"I know that," Seven assured. "However, one of the things that has been nudging at my conscious lately, one might say, is the fact that we adjust the use, as we just discussed, and we technically could stop burning the antimatter off and assuring that way that we most definitely always will have enough. But either way, the fact remains that at this point, once it is gone, it is gone. I know there is more than we will be able to use in our lifetime, but I still no not like that hard line. It would be the same as if we had said in the beginning, 'well, phasers never break we only need to have one'. Yet we replicated ten of them just to be sure."
"Alright," B'Elanna said slowly, "Knowing you, I guess that you mean that we do continue to burn off the antimatter like we have, and make a collector that collects new antimatter. For which we can compensate by burning off more."
"Correct," Seven agreed. "And while we are at it, we could change the way of burning. Now we have the shields active at night, and both you and I had to switch them off more times than we can remember because we could not sleep and wanted to go sit outside. Yet for as long as we have lived here, there is a window of two hours where neither of us has ever been outside. From one hour past midnight to three past midnight. We could make the time the shield is active much shorter, those two hours, and compensate by making it much stronger to burn off more energy. And it would not change behavior in that time because now if we were to go outside then, we have to switch the shields off, with the higher setting, if we want to go outside then... we have to switch the shields off."
B'Elanna nodded. "We can do that, if we also enable to the visual setting. Last thing I want is for me to get up one night and walk into that because I forgot to turn the shields of since we don't have them on at other times anymore. As for the antimatter collector, it would keep us busy at least. But can we even build it, and is it worth it. There is a reason why antimatter collectors are normally build in space."
"Less interference from the planet," Seven agreed. "However, antimatter particles still are all around us, passing right through us at this very moment. And you are correct, we would not be able to build an even halfway decent collector because for that we would need platina, in micro-wires. However, obviously I looked into this before bringing it up so that I could give you valid information."
"Obviously," B'Elanna repeated amused.
"And it turned out that Starfleet has though of a situation like this," Seven continued. "Or more to the point, of a shuttle being stranded on a planet and needing to collect antimatter. There is a collector on file that can be completely build from parts that we can replicate. And on top of that, the design allows for connecting the collector to the secondary input plug."
"Kinda have to, since you can't fill antimatter containers," B'Elanna reminded. "But if we hook it up like that, the antimatter that comes from the collector would have priority and if there is none, then the normal antimatter is used. So on a planet like this mystery we are on, how much antimatter could we collect with such a device?"
"Enough to cover out present day needs," Seven assured. "So it will be more a case of burning off antimatter faster than we normally do, and then using the collector to supplement the usage. Once I have calculated it all exactly and know the exact output of antimatter, it will be a case of either having the collector be ready for use and only active every so often to top off what we have been using too much. However, before you ask 'why build it at all then', the point is that we would then have it and would know that it works for those moments that we need more antimatter."
B'Elanna shrugged. "Hey, it's fine with me. Nice little project to build. And the nice thing about the collector is that it doesn't have in internal reserve. So if we ever switch it off in the future there won't be any antimatter in it; we won't be leaving a bomb behind. But, if the collector can supply us with enough antimatter to cover our daily uses, wouldn't it be a better idea than to build the collector, maybe a second to cover the 'in case it breaks' angle, and then burn off the shuttle's antimatter as fast as possible? After all, the antimatter of the collector would cover what we need."
"We could eventually do that," Seven agreed. "Once history has proven that the collectors do indeed cover our needs, but for now we would have both simply to cover the ease of mind. To have knowledge that we have all the antimatter we need, and to have the all the ability to collect all the antimatter we need."
"Alright, let's do that then," B'Elanna agreed, seeing the logic of it. She started to get up, only to be held in place by the strong arms around her. "Hey."
"We are not on a schedule," Seven said as she started to let her hands drift a bit. "I do however have you in my arms and this really terrible urge to ravish you."
"Ooh," B'Elanna said happily as she burrowed a bit more into the embrace. "I like the sound of that." But before she could do much more, she heard a soft sniffing sound come from beside her, and seeing that Seven's head was slightly above her, she knew it couldn't be her lover.
She turned her head and found a pair of green eyes watching her from less than twenty centimeters away. She grinned and lifted a hand to scratch behind a black fur covered ear, and got her wrist licked by a long tongue as a reward for her troubles. "Hey Shadow. And how are you doing today? Didn't see you yesterday; you had a good hunt?"
A soft and deep rumble was the reply and B'Elanna laughed. She could swear that there had been a pleased tone to that rumble. "I take that as a yes. Are you going to stick around for a bit? Because I was just promised a thorough ravishing by my babe here. You are welcome to watch of course."
Seven laughed as she placed a kiss on B'Elanna's head. She watched the huge black cat stalk off like the predator it was and lie down on the newly finished porch. "How things change. I can still remember the time where you said you couldn’t make love because you could feel her watching us."
"Well, yeah," B'Elanna agreed. "You sure changed my mind fast that day. I still think she knows what we are doing, I just had to get used to feeling eyes on me other than yours."
"I think she knows the basics of what we are doing," Seven corrected and agreed. "However, I sincerely doubt that she is actually watching us to see the activity, no matter how intelligent the feline is. I believe it is more about the sounds. To her we are making sounds that she finds interesting. Just like the sounds we make when we talk to her as if she is a visiting guest otherwise. I believe she simply has come to enjoy the sound of our voices."
"Eh, I don't know about that," B'Elanna said thoughtfully. "The timing makes me think there. Half the times we make love outside, she is at least there by the end of it, if she wasn't already there at the beginning. There you might be right; the sounds we make might let her know that we are having some fun. But did you notice how often she disappears shortly after. Unless she plops down for a nap, she tends to disappear only minutes after we made love. As if she enjoyed the show and then lets us in peace to enjoy the afterglow alone."
By now, Seven had moved to where she was looking down at her lover with a look of disbelieve.
"I'm just messing with you, babe," B'Elanna assured. "It's so hard to catch you unaware, I have to take my chances when I get one."
"So you do not really believe in what you just said," Seven clarified.
"Nah," B'Elanna assured, but then she frowned. "Or better said, I do think there is a grain of truth in there, but that it's more basic to the extreme."
Now a blonde eye lifted.
"Alright, alright, let me explain the insanity," B'Elanna chuckled. "When we make love, the moaning we do, the panting, the shaky breaths,"
"Your grunting," Seven added with a smile because she knew that B'Elanna understood the mix between a tweak and the truth and would not object. Because, B'Elanna did grunt, it was in a somewhat drawn-out way that Seven had always seen as a compliment and prove that the blonde was doing something very, very, right at that moment.
"My grunting," B'Elanna happily added, "I do believe that those sounds lure her here often enough. But that's where my joking stops. Because I don't actually think she is here to enjoy the show. More so since there is no show. A show, well, shows stuff. We simply make love and only care about what we do and forget about the rest of the universe. But remember, we agreed that Shadow is freakily smart. I think that she figured out what we are doing then."
Seven frowned. "And if she did, why would that make her come here?" Seven asked, still not getting that part.
"To protect us," B'Elanna guessed before lifting a stopping had. "Now wait, before you go there; Shadow is a wild and untrained animal. She isn't a pet and she is a killer. We have seen her covered in blood after a hunt; I'm not getting delusional with the years. But, by now she hasn't killed us. And by now we reached a point where she and we are touching each another all the time; physical contact that she started. She is the is the one that put her head in your lap and waited for a nice scratch behind the ears. Now, before I tie it all together, ignore for a fact that she is a loner and as such normally doesn't want any contact with others at all. It is well recorded in animal behavior that in packs, other animals tend to keep watch while the breeding pair of the group are going at it. Watch as in protection from outside events so that the breeding couple can concentrate on that."
"And I believe that I finally understand what you mean," Seven said. "Exhibit A, we are not dead yet. Exhibit B, Shadow can guess from the sounds that we make that we are breeding, to keep the word in line with the explanation. And exhibit C, the three of us are getting along, so she does what is natural; watch and protect a breeding pair."
B'Elanna nodded her agreement. "And just between you and me, I kinda like it. I know it freaked me out in the beginning to know that she is watching us, but now I came to terms with it and even use it a bit to kinda play with one of those fantasies."
"Really?" Seven asked surprised. "Which one?"
"The one I told you about, about being watched," B'Elanna reminded.
"Ah," Seven said. "Yes, I remember that once. Something you used as an example of a time where a fantasy should never become true. Because you wouldn't want to be watched by anyone but your lover. You, half Klingon that you are, would proverbially die of shame if someone were to watch you make love."
B'Elanna nodded. "That one, and I would. And because that is something I would never do, it turns me on to think about doing it. I never would, but it sure makes me hot to think about doing it."
"And shadow fits into that how," Seven wondered.
"Because she has eyes," B'Elanna explained. "And because her stare is intense enough that I do feel it on me when I'm not at the height of passion. But at the same time; she is just an animal. She doesn't care, and it's not like she can go tell anyone. So I do kinda get my fantasy of being watched, but at the same time I'm not really watched by any humanoid."
I see," Seven said, deciding that the time for talk was over. She gave B'Elanna an evil smile before lifting her head and looking over that the huge predator on the porch. "Enjoy the show Shadow. I am going to try and make B'Elanna squeal. Do me a favor and don't mistake it for the call of a prey animal?"
A deep rumble came back and B'Elanna noted amused, "You hear that sound? She is laughing at us."
And the rest are some scenes that would have been 'Kathryn fillers' and i have no idea where in the story they would have been placed.
>Kathryn filler
Kathryn took her time to drink in the forms of the woman that was looking out of the window, and whose thoughts were apparently light-years away. "God, you are sexy," Kathryn finally managed.
Onarsa looked over her shoulder and treated Kathryn to a smile. "Thank you. Should I get dressed?"
The directness of the question surprised Kathryn a bit, but then she remembered some of the earlier conversations the two of them had and she chuckled. "Isn't that more my line? After all, all the talk we did, you made it seem that there is sex, and then a parting of ways once the deed is done." She held out a hand in invitation and was glad to see that her exotic guest reacted for it. "Nah, don't. Unless you want to go that is. I'm not in the habit of kicking people out once I'm done. Stay the night, let me replicate you breakfast in the morning at least. Then we can see about you being kicked out."
"See about it?" Onarsa asked as she took Kathryn's hand and sat down on the bed.
Kathryn brought the hand to her lips and placed a soft kiss on it. "I'm not going anywhere until those repairs are done, or I get a mayday from my crew members. You on the other hand, told me that you and your crew have a few days off. You are more than welcome to be a guest for a few days, if you don't think it will complicate things."
"Won't it complicate matters for you?" Onarsa asked, her light grey eyes looking like they had an inner light even in the mere light from the stars. "You told me about your friend, but what will your crew think of you when you mess with another woman while your girl is away?"
Kathryn chuckled. "It will do them good. It will make them wonder if their gossip about me and Seven were wrong, more so since they will see us still interact once she is back. Well, unless she and B'Elanna really did hit it off, at which point this conversation is about a moot point anyway. So, what about it? Seems to me that you can spend your time off on the starbase, or you can spend it having some fun with me here on the ship, and then be my gracious guide on those times I have to go do stuff on the base."
Onarsa stood up again, but held onto Kathryn's hand, asking her that way to join her. They moved back to the window and looked out. "I have been traveling between these stars for all my life," The taller woman said, her rolling voice still traveling straight to Kathryn's groin, despite, or maybe exactly because, having heard that voice make all kinds of wonderful sounds not long before. "And yet, I hardly ever look out anymore because as much as I travel, I never truly travel far away. I envy you. You see different stars each day."
Onarsa nodded to the window to indicate it. "I always see this. The angle may change; the picture doesn't." She pointed at one of the many stars. " You will find Kanharda Prime in that system. Great place to get booze that is popular through the region. But don't try to smuggle it without paying the enforcers of the faction off. They have a long memory."
A different star was indicated. "The Unnamed System... that is the name, just to be clear. Paranoid faction where theft is legal, as is protecting your property by deadly force. Great place to go if you need stuff on the fast, as long as you have your weapons in good order. The only place where slavery is legal, but since their laws are recognized by most, also the only place someone from, say this base here, could go and buy a slave. And since their laws are recognized by most, even if you do leave their system with your new slave almost everyone will recognize the person as a slave; as property. There are only four planets where those slaves would not be recognized as slaves if the person managed to reach them. But they would still have no citizen papers then which ironically means that they could only lead a life there worse than that of a slave."
There is slavery here?" Kathryn asked. "We haven't heard of that."
"It's all in the definition," Onarsa admitted. "I merely simplified the procedure. It's not slavery as such, but they do work with contracts you can sell and buy and you can get punished at your 'employer's' whim and he or she can do with you whatever they want. You can't say no to anything they demand or else they punish you, up to killing you. Technically a person can buy themselves free. Small problem is that normally people with such contracts don't get paid wages. Though it also means that if you are lucky enough and have a family with money that is willing to look for you, you might even be freed if the price is right."
Seeing how Kathryn had stiffened at her description, Onarsa chuckled. "Don't worry too much about it, Captain Righteous. You have to remember that we are in a warzone, and it's a 'has proven a better option than the alternative' kind of thing. Someone might conquer a base or take over a province on a planet or something and they have two options. Kill everyone they capture, or sell the spoils of war. At least when they are sold they aren’t dead and do have some rights. More often than not they are simply bought by a representative of their faction; basically freed again. With the small detail that they now owe their own faction a debt they have to play off. And for the ones that don't get sold back to their own faction, let me point out that families that are captured together are not allowed to be split up. Plus there are some people that do manage to buy themselves free, and if you do get the money the person that holds your contract has to sell it if you say that you want to go."
"But how get money if you don't get money," Kathryn asked.
"There are... ways," Onarsa assured. "For me, for instance, it would be easy. I'm a Draenei, I'm sure it would only take me a couple of months to screw enough money together to buy myself free. Part of the contract rules; the owner can't ask you how you got the money, nor can he argue that it's his anyway because you earned it while you belonged to him. Even if you pinched the money of him, you can still use it to buy yourself free from him. Remember theft is legal."
She hesitated a moment before admitting, "Well, for me personally it would probably even easier. As much as me being a Draenei is my best commodity, in that situation it would probably mean that the new owner would want to screw me every day. Rape me, to be very clear. So I would probably simply make him a deal. Tell him, 'listen, you can rape me, of course. But wouldn't you much rather want me to actually work along and rock your world? Tell you what, you set me free after a year, and in the mean time you can fuck me twice a day during which I will pretend to love it, make you enjoy it, make it last, and I'll even be nice and beg you to sleep with me if you had skip once for some reason. I'll even be nice and literally sleep in your bed at night and not kill you. And then in one year we part ways with no hard feelings, and I even fuck you once as a free person then just to say goodbye. How about it, should we set up that contract that you will free me in a year'?"
Janeway nodded slowly as she digested that. "I guess most would take the offer, exactly because you are Draenei, there would be a lot of ... relatively... nice people that would normally not buy slaves, but that once in a lifetime possibility to own a Draenei. Hard to pass up for someone that lives in an area where such contracts are legal."
"Yep," Onarsa agreed. "And in my case we would both be better off for it, because I would truly do my best for that year since I would see it as my punishment for getting myself in that position in the first place. Which, to align it with what I said before, in my case means that even if my owner were to be a guy, I would still sleep with him and make him think I love it. It's not that person's fault that I was up for sale, now was it? Or to go a different way, as actually happened with me once. I needed a mechanic for my ship and I was quite happy with the services of a slave on a starbase where I was picking up a run. He approached me, suggested that I buy him, and in return he would join my crew for as many years as I saw fit."
"You took the deal?" Kathryn guessed.
"There is a reason I needed a mechanic," Onarsa reminded. "I had a spot to fill, so the equation was not that hard. So the three of us; his owner, him, and me, sat down and talked business. Luckily for me the guy actually needed something I could provide so this time the payment for the slave contract was simply some goods and not my body, though I would have payed that way if it had been needed. That slave was, is, a damn good mechanic. An hour later we shook on the deal and all three walked out thinking that we made a good deal. No hard feelings. Even now his previous owner still joins me for a drink when I visit that base and we gossip about nice deals and piles of cash that is ready for the taking."
"And yet, you now own a slave," Kathryn pointed out.
Onarsa sighed. "Come on, Kathy, haven't you need listening? There was an agreement, a timeframe that he would work for me and then I would consider his services rendered and he would be free to go. Not that unfair if you keep in mind that I was the one that had to cough up the goods to buy his contract in full. Point is, his time was up six years ago, he once again has his Free Citizen certificate... and he is still working for me because he knows a good job when he sees one."
Onarsa looked out the window once more. "But that kinda brings me to what I was getting at. I know it all here. Know the rules, know the risks... and I know what the next week will bring. You, on the other hand, never know what next week will bring. A month ago you didn't know you would be here today, a week ago you did not know that you would be spending the night with a woman that has horns, hoofs, and a very sexy tail. And tonight you have no idea where you will be a month from now. Who you will be talking to then?"
Hearing the reminder of some of the differences body wise between them, Kathryn let her eyes drift over her new lover. Onarsa really did remind her something of the images of succubus, at least the seductively depicted ones. And Kathryn sure felt as if she had succumb to a charm, because looking back at all the people she had ever been with, male or female, if she was told right now that she had to pick one that she could only ever be with again, at least body wise, this woman was a clear winner.
Even over Seven and B'Elanna. There was just something about those forms. Those lines clicked so perfectly with Kathryn; as if this was finally the model where Mother Nature had gotten it right. And, Kathryn readily admitted, the fact that the description 'a daemon in bed' also fitted the sexual activities perfectly sure didn't hurt. Without exaggeration, Onarsa was the most skilled sexual partner she had ever been with. Not one of the most but 'the' most. Well, it probably helped that the woman had centuries of experience in sex and using sex as a commodity.
Clearly Onarsa had realized long ago that the better she was to her partners, the more they were willing to part with in goods as a reward. And it was clear by now to Kathryn that Onarsa actually loved to have sex, and that this was one of the reasons she was so willing to use her body as a commodity. Because even if she was 'paying' someone, Onarsa herself was getting pleasure out of it. Unless her business partner was a man of course, and Kathryn realized that only about one quarters of the business people she had met had been women. But then again, as Onarsa had said, the guys basically had to demanded it as part of the deal before she slept with them, so Kathryn guessed that this did happen, just not that often.
Kathryn realized that she could ask of course, but she had a feeling that the tall woman that was so free with info about herself would not appreciate having to come up with exact numbers. Besides, Kathryn thought, wo was she to judge? She, who was sleeping with a friend for the fun of it, and had just jumped into bed with someone else without thinking twice about it. True, all she had said was the truth, Seven really would ask her for details, Seven would probably try to also sleep with Onarsa if she was still around then.
All of it was true, and yet... definitely not everyone could jump around like that and have a clean conscious. So instead of asking, Kathryn decided to react to Onarsa's question who Kathryn would be talking to in a month instead. She placed a soft kiss on the tall woman's shoulder. "No matter who I'll be talking to, I can assure you that you will be on my mind for a long, long time."
"We Draenei can't die of old age, I told you that," Onarsa reminded. "This means that we look different at more than just the obvious things. For instance, most people I know strife to get somewhere, and once they have, they start fearing for how long they can still do it. Take Brann. His goal is a simple one. He has been working to get more goods, to have a bigger store to be able to house more goods, to be bigger, bigger. There will come a time where he will either die trying to get bigger yet, or where he will stop growing and wonder how he can maintain what he has."
"I'm there now," Kathryn said, not really knowing where Onarsa was leading, but knowing that talking was needed to keep the conversation going. "When I was a kid I wanted nothing but to be an Admiral like my dad. Not that I had any clue what that actually meant. Then I went to the Academy. Learned stuff. And I realized that actually, what I want is to be a captain. Now I am, and I know for a fact that I do not want to be an admiral. So what is there left? The only growth that I have is that I make it home and they give me a bigger ship to command."
Onarsa nodded. "With us Draenei it's different. We know upfront that we will probably want to do something else at some point, no matter how much we love what we do now." She looked out at the stars again. I used to wonder when I was little, what is out there? Then I did the best one can reach in that regard around here. I became a Runner. I have been to almost every planet in this contested zone. I have dealt with people that would love to kill the previous employer of mine, and that are probably on the hit list of my next employer. There is nothing for me to do, nothing left to grow. It is time to find something new to do. Problem was, I never found anything I like better. Until now. Because now my childhood question is viable again. What is out there, and how can I find out?"
Kathryn digested that for a moment, clearly understanding that Onarsa was suggesting. "But what about your ship, your crew?"
Onarsa laughed softly. "Just like I was once a second in command that worked to finally get the ship and captain's spot, I to have a second in command now, and he too has dreams. Dreams he hasn't fulfilled yet. Like one day being the captain of a Runner ship." She turned to face Kathryn and gently caressed her face. "I can guess some of the things that are running through your mind right now, and don't worry. As far as this is concerned, see me as that business person you met in Brann's place. I see an opportunity and am acting on it. I have no intention of causing problems. If your girlfriend comes back I'll be more than happy to be just a friend or yours, or even just a crew member."
"When she comes back," Kathryn corrected. "And as I told you before, that won't be a problem. Knowing Seven, and now knowing you a bit more, I can guarantee that both of you will end up sampling the goods, unless the chemistry between you is just totally off; which I sincerely doubt. And, who knows, you two might actually end up in a relationship if it clicks between you. But the bigger question is, what if after a while you find out that you don't like this new life after all? Once we are gone we won't be turning around."
"I know," Onarsa assured. "I don't see that as a problem. If I don't like it here anymore, I simply bid you and your ship goodbyes at the next planet you visit that has a society on it that I think I could fit into. It's simply time for something new for me, and around here, you are the only new I have seen in a long time."
Kathryn nodded in understanding. "Tell you what, those repairs won't change, and I already invited you to be my guest before you brought this up. So now I invite you again; be my guest. Stay on this ship, interact with people, see what you might want to do if you do stay, and when we leave here, I give you the choice to join us. I'll also give you limited computer access to the unclassified history of the journey this ship has been one since we became stranded in the Delta Quadrant. Read it, and learn some of the choices we made, and why we made them. Because sometimes we have to do things for the greater good, even if we don't want to."
"Like sending two friends off to a place where everyone tells you only death is to be found," Onarsa said in understanding.
"Things like that," Kathryn agreed.
"Deal," Onarsa agreed. "Then she asked with a smile, "So does that mean that I'll have to move into those guest quarters you showed me before?"
"You can," Kathryn allowed, "If you want to. Or you can stay on your ship and come over here every day. Or option number three is that you stay here. It is the option that is the least clear, but on the flip side is the most covering in dealing with stuff."
"How so," Onarsa wondered.
"Well," Kathryn said as she let a lover's hand drift over the tall woman's body. "It will show us if you and I get along more than just in bed. That will be a huge bonus for when we have to figure out just what out interactions will be once I am your Captain." Her hand came to rest on one shapely and firm ass cheek. "Another point is that B'Elanna and Seven are expected back before the repairs are done, so before we would leave. With you being here we most definitely will know just what the deal is between us three before we go. Just friends, you and Seven hitting it off? Seven getting jealous and deciding she wants a relationship after all? And not just to focus on Seven, I think B'Elanna could find you intriguing as hell. You two might hit it off as well. I can see that as well, you know, you and B'Elanna."
Onarsa grinned. "And maybe I like them both so much I steal them both from you and the three of us do the triangle thing while you sit in the cold."
Kathryn gave a small pout. "You are so mean."
"Well, alright," Onarsa relented with a smile. "With three of us, there is bound to be some surplus. Maybe one of us will sleep with you from time to time while two of us are having some alone time to bond."
Now Kathryn laughed. "Honey, trust me on this, if you three hit it off and formed a triangle, and decided to keep me on the side to screw on those occasions where you needed a fourth, I would consider myself in heaven."
Then she assured with a chuckle, "Nah, my money is still on Seven and B'Elanna hitting it off. Their biggest hurdle is that they are both damn stubborn. But if they managed to let that go and admit that they like each other, I wouldn't be surprised if they had shared a bed tonight just as we have. Well, with them it would be with the idea of it being permanent."
Onarsa smiled. "At least we don't have that problem. I like the time we are spending together, and I would love to have more, but I can feel that we are destined to be friends only. Friends that love to screw, but friends only."
Kathryn smiled. "I'm so glad I'm not the one that has to say it. After all my talk about Seven and B'Elanna, if I had started to give the 'let's just be friends' talk, I think I would have cringed with every word while not trying to sound like a hypocrite."
Onarsa nodded as she put an arm around the equally naked shorter woman and pulled her closer to mold body against body. Then she leaned down and kissed Kathryn before saying, "But friends that love to share some time horizontal, like you with Seven, now that has potential. Maybe we are lucky, and your friends really do come back and really did hit it off and are now a couple. You would need another sex play friend. I would love to volunteer."
"I just bet you would," Kathryn said amused as they parted a little again, kept standing hip to hip as they looked out at the starts, if they weren’t looking at each other at least. "Sounds pretty damn good to me. Of course, I have a feeling I wouldn't be the only one you would be sleeping with on this ship then."
"If we are friends only?" Onarsa clarified. "Definitely not. Would that de a problem for you?"
Kathryn shook her head. "Nah, in the Federation we have long since moved to fining it normal that the person that sleeps with you might not only be sleeping with you. It's in relations where we find that. If I'm in a relationship and my partner sleeps with someone else, it's cheating and it hurts. If we are just friends, at worst me might get a bit jealous because I am sure in the mood but my friend is already with someone else at that moment. A lot of that became casual when a species called the Risan joined the Federation. If you decide to hang around I'll tell you about them, but sufficing to say for now, they are very casual about sex and very big on friendships, and they showed us the benefits of casual sex with friends without the sex destroying the friendship. It's personal views and believes that decide whether you do it or not, and not social acceptance."
"On my ship it's different," Onarsa explained. "Since we tend to live on our ships it's kinds tradition on runner ships for families to live on them. Or on ships like mine, someone meets someone that is good enough to work on the ship and that person joins as well. So all others on my ship are in relationships."
Kathryn nodded. "Let me guess, even tough you see it as people's own tasks to guard their monogamy, you sure as hell wouldn't sleep with someone of your crew and mess up relationships there and sour a good working crew?"
"Got it in one," Onarsa agreed. "And that was fine because I come across enough people I like to the point where I offer myself to sweeten the deal, kinda like you. And if you add to that the business deals there sleep with people as part of the deal, my needs were definitely satisfied there as well. But just under the full disclosure idea, besides liking to make love, I also like variance, so if I join your ship you wouldn't de the only one." Onarsa grinned. "Probably a different species for every day of the week. You think you could handle that, only getting to sleep with me say ever third week day?"
Kathryn laughed. "God I think you will be a lot of fun to be around. "And if the others don't mind the fact that you spend time with their Captain as well, I could live with that." She though for a moment before adding with a smile. "Tell you what, not counting Seven and B'Elanna because,"
"Because you want them to b become an item," Onarsa interrupted, partly to tweak, party to show she got the hint by now.
"Did I mention that already?" Kathryn asked teasingly. "But not counting them, there are at the moment nine single women on the ship you might like. Seven if you exclude the Delaney twins. The twins are Human, and the other seven are of seven other species. Does that sound interesting? And I'm obviously only looking at women now since I know your preference."
"Why are you excluding those twins? Weren’t they the two women we saw when we came onboard the ship?" Onarsa asked. "They were... tasty."
"They were, and yes they are," Kathryn assured. "And I'm excluding them because... well, I'm not excluding them as such. They are single, just that they also aren’t really looking. They mess around with the occasional alien, so you might actually be able to sleep with them one or twice. But as soon as there is a risk of feelings starting to form they step away. Which is why they didn't get involved with someone of the crew. Other then, again, a romp or two."
"I have been with twins once," Onarsa said. "Trust me, I could handle them."
"Probably not the same thing," Kathryn said, deliberately not asking for details. "The twins love each other madly... as sisters. I think at best they might shower together sometimes to save time. I know from gossip that they might have slept with the same person, but they don't share as such. There is never more than one sister in the bed. Seems to turn them off more than an ice shower."
"And how do you know what they do in their quarters at night?" Onarsa teased. "Maybe they just pretend for the rest of you so you guys don't look at them weird."
Kathryn shook her head. "Nah. It's not that common, but it's also not unheard off. Especially between siblings that serve on the same starship. Far way from other family, but also not looking for a relationship because that one family member they love is so close... more than once that love has become physical. We do accept that in the Federation, since after all it does go along with that casual sex. If we were to accept it if they screw everyone under the sun, should we then condemn then for sleeping with only one person whom they love? Nah, the fact that it's not unknown actually pisses them off. As much as they love each other, a lot of people do assume there is more. Two sexy women that live together, that love each other, that can screw with each other legally? Well, they must be doing it every frewe minute of the day. And it pisses them off that they can't convince people that sisters can love each other more than life, and still sleep in the same bedroom without having sex."
Onarsa nodded, apparently willing to accept that. "So seven women of seven different species, nine if you include the twins, ten if you include you, eleven if you include me. Hmm, think about that, eleven single women of eight different species. We could make a girls club."
"A girls club?" Kathryn repeated.
Onarsa nodded with a grin. "I love the idea. I would of course be the ringleader that would decide who would sleep with who that night. Best part of that is that we would of course all agree, as part of being allowed in the club, that if two people retire for the night and accept that now it's club time, there is no rank. Got to make sure people don't piss themselves because the Captain is their assigned club member for that night."
"And the amazing part is, I'm not even sure if you are joking or are for real," Kathryn admitted, not knowing if she should shocked or laugh. "You do realize that even though I mentioned the single women, there are five of them I would never sleep with anyway."
"Because you don't like how they look or don't like their personality enough to get naked with them?" Onarsa asked, not giving a hint if she was actually joking.
"The last," Kathryn admitted after a long hesitation. "In looks, and just said between us where I don't have to be politically correct, I would say that three aren’t my type. But if I'm horny and they were willing I also wouldn't be turned off. I think I could have fun with them body wise, as long as they don't start talking other than saying 'right there'."
"And maybe you might even discover that you actually like talking to them if you are just chatting a bit after a very satisfying night of fun," Onarsa teased. They both chuckled before Onarsa finally relented. "Alright, relax. I'm mostly messing with you. And I say mostly because I have a little hobby. Sometimes I really do set up elaborate plans and wonder what could be. It keeps me sharp and able to come up with a good plan on the spot if really needed. So now with you telling me about all those single women, I am setting up this little plan for real but I sincerely doubt it will really happen. Liking the look of a body is nothing compared to liking a person. I assume there is a reason those people haven't already hooked up together."
Kathryn chuckled. "I'm not sure if I'm glad or disappointed to hear that."
Onarsa laughed. "Oh, but would you be willing to participate on a smaller scale? Me as the person that does set up people for the night,"
"Just to make sure you get the one in your bed that night that you want there," Kathryn interrupted amused.
"But of course," Onarsa freely admitted. Then she continued. "That would be what makes it so great. I can decide who I want that night, and every other club member, including you, would have no say at all. You guys would have no idea at all who you would be sleeping with that night, every night being a little surprise. Even if by then you have slept with that person dozens of time, simply because the you open that door, and only then you get that flood of feelings that seeing that person causes, knowing she loves this, and that tonight you probably will be doing that."
"There is something to that," Kathryn agreed. "Kinda like a blind date every night. Of course, there is the not so small detail of someone not being in the mood that day, or that you might actually have two people that love to sleep with everyone but this one person. Since you know their names by now, let's just say B'Elanna and Seven love the idea of being part of such a club, but the away mission went so wrong that they now hate each other and would never sleep with each other."
Onarsa shrugged. "That the benefit of having more people, people could just call me and say that can't make it that night or have other plans and I would simply take them out of the pool for that night. Might even benefit me because that means that sometimes there are uneven numbers and I can join a nice threesome. And it would then also be my self-appointed task to make sure I don't pair us B'Elanna and Seven on any night. Though probably for me more of the fun would be in trying to get them back together again and make them happy members of the club that might not like each other personally, but are willing again to have some sexual fun."
Then, clearly thinking about it for a moment, Onarsa asked, "Those twins, you think they would be interested, once we would be able to assure them that it's just casual sex between friends, and I would knew sure that their wishes would be totally respected. As in never have the two sisters in the same room during sex."
Kathryn also though about that for a moment, and at the same time not believing that she was actually giving such a situation honest thoughts. "Depends. If I were to suggest something like that, they would probably ask the Doctor to check if I went insane. But I would also not ever have dreamed only an hour ago that I would have given such a... club... serious thought. So it would be up to you to convince them, and convince them that I really can de just a woman that's fun in bed and not be their captain then."
Onarsa smiled. "See? That would already make four of us. Now let us assume that you are right and your crew members still live. How about Seven and B'Elanna?"
"Well, I can't speak for them for sure, but as a wild guess? Seven would like it, B'Elanna would first object but be easy convinced as long as it clearly is totally casual. She would have to be able to compare the casualness with just screwing someone she doesn't know on an away mission. But the fact that some of us would also be her friends might demand that she go for a real relationship."
"Then she would probably be teaming us with Seven as you wish anyway, since she would consider others, like you and me, taken since we are in the club," Onarsa said, proving that she truly did listen to every detail. Then she grinned. "So now think about it for a moment, Sexy me in that club, your Seven that everyone wants to screw anyway, according to you, then B'Elanna, and the twins, and let's not forget you. You think the rest of the single women would need much convincing to join my little club?"
"Probably not," Kathryn said. "At least not until the first problems show up and your little club implodes."
"Which is why you need a leader," Onarsa noted, "And that leader could never be you. There would have to be a referee that listens to Ensigns as much as to Captain. Someone that is willing to sit all night and talk through a problem with two people that had a falling out. And trust me, as Captain of a runner ship where the entire crew was in two person relationships I did my share of long night relationship counseling. And as you already figured out, here, now, my reward would be that I would get to sleep with all of you and even pick what I'm in the mood for that day while the rest of you simply sleep with the person I set you up with that night."
"If you were to keep that secret that could be a lot of fun to," Kathryn noted. "As in, I would never know who would show up at my door and all of it would be a treat. You, or is it Seven, or B'Elanna, or Jennifer? Or maybe it's Lang that comes knocking. Ensign Lang works in security, and while she is a fine crewmember, she is one of those where I said I would probably not sleep with her. But I have to admit, there is something exciting to the though of the door opening and having her stand there. Who knows, maybe she is totally into being able to order me around for a change. Sometimes I do like to just surrender it all if the mood is right."
Onarsa smiled. "So now you know, before we even made the choice if I really do go along. No secrets. If I join you, I will find myself a few people to play with and if you want to be one of them you will have to share. But if you are nice about it I'll let you share all of them. There probably only be a few, but I won't stop because there are already four people or such. It will be a girl club with clear rules. As in we all play equal. And of course, people are free to have some fun outside the club. Those sisters for instance, I would not want to withhold them the fun of finding themselves some guy on an away mission. Nor would I begrudge you that. As I said, I don't prefer sleeping with men, but I have done it, and don't begrudge others something them might find fun."
Kathryn though about it for a moment. "Well, the fun part about that is that you would be managing it, and therefore, if you do it right I would never officially have to find out in my position as Captain. After all, none of the club members would sleep with the Captain; they would sleep with another club member. Though I have a feeling that the single guys might become jealous for not being allowed in the club."
"Well, it would be a girl's club," Onarsa reminded. And as much as I like men as friends, I sure wouldn't want to be the one to arrange who they sleep with. Who knows, maybe they are lucky and two girls I set up for that night decide to call a guy friend over for some fun. That would be there choice."
"That could happen," Kathryn agreed. "Because small detail, I don't even know if all of those women even like sleeping with another woman. I know the twins do sometimes, and clearly I know Seven, B'Elanna, You, and I, do. After that you would have to find out."
"I will," Onarsa assured. "I have a feeling that the fact that you have been traveling for years will help me out a lot. By now people that feel a romantic attraction have tried it, so even if this fun idea actually ever starts, it's not really like I would be taking chances away from the men. Those women are single now so the men aren’t sleeping with those women. But some of those women might share the bed with a guy sometimes if they are horny. What do you think, would such guys be upset that now those friends might be inviting them to threesomes?"
"Probably not," Kathryn said amused. "Though they might be upset with their friend that normally sometimes sleeps with them now instead sleeping with another woman instead. But then again, if they already have such a relationship, why give it up? You are right, it's more likely the guy sometimes gets invited as well if the girl is with another girl and they both like the guy anyway."
A moment of silence fell as the realized that this crazy idea had gone as far as it could at that point. Now what was left was to sleep on it and see with the light of day f they had just had some fun nonce talk or if there was a plan to start working with.
Then Kathryn wondered. "Hmm, now that we agreed that we don't see us becoming a couple, I'm curious. Doesn't your long living interfere with that? Finding someone, I mean. If I live another hundred years, it'll be a lot. Don't you get depressed from seeing people you love die?"
Onarsa shook her head. "We mourn them of course. But we already know that we will live longer then anyone we meet. Even within my own species. As I said, I will look like this until the day I die. So just how old we are doesn't really matter once we are adults. It could easily be that I meet someone I fall for, and she happens to be ten millennia older than me. But even then, who dies first? Maybe I actually die first because the ship I'm on explodes. We have long since gotten use to it. People die, it happens. We don't see it as us no longer being together, we see it as us having spend time together and now we don't."
"That's confusing," Kathryn noted.
Onarsa though for a moment before trying again, "You see, with most species I know, let's say you and Seven love each other madly, and she did die now... sorry bad example."
"I still don't think they are dead," Kathryn insisted, "So do feel free to use the name."
"Alright," Onarsa agreed. "If you loved each other madly, and she now died, then you would be heartbroken and never, ever, for the rest of your live be able to love someone again. But clearly a few years later you might think differently. Let's say that five years later you met this friend called B'Elanna. You might fall in love with her then and go on loving once more."
Kathryn nodded her agreement. "True, so?"
"But let's say that Seven dies, and literally that same day you meet this woman called B'Elanna. Would you fall in love then, or would your grief prevent it? Or would you yourself prevent it, telling yourself that you are disgracing your now dead lover?"
"The last," Kathryn assured, "but I have a feeling you already knew that."
Onarsa nodded. "It is the most common way. But not with us. Let's say that Seven was my lover and I lost her today. I may have grief just like you, but we realize life goes on and you have to think of the future. So at the funeral of my lover I would meet this stranger called B'Elanna. I would feel for her, even though I still feel for my dead lover. And right there during that funeral I might even flirt with B'Elanna and nobody will look at me weird. In fact, most will smile, glad to see that I will be able to move on."
Onarsa shook her head, "But, we don't forget our lovers. Because in that situation, once my relationship with B'Elanna would be secure enough to be able to cope with a grieving person, then I would seclude myself away from B'Elanna as best ass reasonably possible and go to pieces from the grief that Seven is gone. And as I lie there crying my eyes out, a fully understanding B'Elanna would come in and make sure I eat. She would hold me as I go to pieces and grief in one week all the grieving your other species often do over the rest of your life."
Onarsa paused a moment fore affect before assuring, "I'm not kidding there. The feeling your grief part is well set in with us. We even call it that, if someone would come to visit me during that time, B'Elanna would say to them, 'now is not a good time, my wife is living her grief for her lost love'. And the person that came to see me would accept that and come back in a few days. It is even assumed that you won't go out, won't go to work, nothing. You just spend time secluded from others, miserable, and cry your eyes out. Before finally, days later, going out to see your new lover and thanking her with a smile and sensual kiss for giving you your time. And taking care of you while you were a sobbing mess."
Kathryn nodded in understanding. "It's not that you won't ever think of the dead lover again; you will. You might even feel sad about it, but your grieving is done and now it's time to focus on the next part of your life. And because of this, it realy doesn't matter how long the species of your lover can live, because once she died, life will eventually bring your someone else to love."
Onarsa agreed with a small smile.
Kathryn couldn't help but ask, "Have you lost lovers before?"
"Five times," Onarsa said softly. "My last partner died a little over forty years ago. Nobody to blame before you ask. Just a freak accident on a ship. She was an engineer on the ship we worked on, and during an emergency she was running as suddenly gravity stopped working. Physics demanded that the speed she had assured that she lifted off the floor and drifted off... face first into an exposed power regulator."
Kathryn cringed and Onarsa nodded. "I hate closed casket funerals." Then she sighed. "this is depressing. How about we go do something fun?"
Kathryn nodded her agreement and moments later Onarsa felt fingertips trail teasingly down her tail. "I shouldn't have told you how wild that drives me."
Kathryn chuckled. "I see it as fair comparison for how wild you can drive me. Besides, I kinda like it, knowing that just doing that makes you hot and ready."
Onarsa laughed and started to move. "Come to bed so that I can show you just how hot and ready I am."
Fair Author warning.
The reason why there is so much 'Kathryn filler' material is because I wrote these scenes all at one, and honestly, I had a lot of fun doing so. Having said that They started to live a life of themselves and while I had fun writing them, I on only 50/50 if i would have every put them in the story or if they are just too much. Chances are that I would have compromised and eventually would have written extremely tones down versions of these scenes and used those. But for now, this is what I got.
>Kathryn filler
Kathryn took her time to drink in the forms of the woman that was looking out of the window, and whose thoughts were apparently light-years away. "God, you are sexy," Kathryn finally managed.
Onarsa looked over her shoulder and treated Kathryn to a smile. "Thank you. Should I get dressed?"
The directness of the question surprised Kathryn a bit, but then she remembered some of the earlier conversations the two of them had and she chuckled. "Isn't that more my line? After all, all the talk we did, you made it seem that there is sex, and then a parting of ways once the deed is done." She held out a hand in invitation and was glad to see that her exotic guest reacted for it. "Nah, don't. Unless you want to go that is. I'm not in the habit of kicking people out once I'm done. Stay the night, let me replicate you breakfast in the morning at least. Then we can see about you being kicked out."
"See about it?" Onarsa asked as she took Kathryn's hand and sat down on the bed.
Kathryn brought the hand to her lips and placed a soft kiss on it. "I'm not going anywhere until those repairs are done, or I get a mayday from my crew members. You on the other hand, told me that you and your crew have a few days off. You are more than welcome to be a guest for a few days, if you don't think it will complicate things."
"Won't it complicate matters for you?" Onarsa asked, her light grey eyes looking like they had an inner light even in the mere light from the stars. "You told me about your friend, but what will your crew think of you when you mess with another woman while your girl is away?"
Kathryn chuckled. "It will do them good. It will make them wonder if their gossip about me and Seven were wrong, more so since they will see us still interact once she is back. Well, unless she and B'Elanna really did hit it off, at which point this conversation is about a moot point anyway. So, what about it? Seems to me that you can spend your time off on the starbase, or you can spend it having some fun with me here on the ship, and then be my gracious guide on those times I have to go do stuff on the base."
Onarsa stood up again, but held onto Kathryn's hand, asking her that way to join her. They moved back to the window and looked out. "I have been traveling between these stars for all my life," The taller woman said, her rolling voice still traveling straight to Kathryn's groin, despite, or maybe exactly because, having heard that voice make all kinds of wonderful sounds not long before. "And yet, I hardly ever look out anymore because as much as I travel, I never truly travel far away. I envy you. You see different stars each day."
Onarsa nodded to the window to indicate it. "I always see this. The angle may change; the picture doesn't." She pointed at one of the many stars. " You will find Kanharda Prime in that system. Great place to get booze that is popular through the region. But don't try to smuggle it without paying the enforcers of the faction off. They have a long memory."
A different star was indicated. "The Unnamed System... that is the name, just to be clear. Paranoid faction where theft is legal, as is protecting your property by deadly force. Great place to go if you need stuff on the fast, as long as you have your weapons in good order. The only place where slavery is legal, but since their laws are recognized by most, also the only place someone from, say this base here, could go and buy a slave. And since their laws are recognized by most, even if you do leave their system with your new slave almost everyone will recognize the person as a slave; as property. There are only four planets where those slaves would not be recognized as slaves if the person managed to reach them. But they would still have no citizen papers then which ironically means that they could only lead a life there worse than that of a slave."
There is slavery here?" Kathryn asked. "We haven't heard of that."
"It's all in the definition," Onarsa admitted. "I merely simplified the procedure. It's not slavery as such, but they do work with contracts you can sell and buy and you can get punished at your 'employer's' whim and he or she can do with you whatever they want. You can't say no to anything they demand or else they punish you, up to killing you. Technically a person can buy themselves free. Small problem is that normally people with such contracts don't get paid wages. Though it also means that if you are lucky enough and have a family with money that is willing to look for you, you might even be freed if the price is right."
Seeing how Kathryn had stiffened at her description, Onarsa chuckled. "Don't worry too much about it, Captain Righteous. You have to remember that we are in a warzone, and it's a 'has proven a better option than the alternative' kind of thing. Someone might conquer a base or take over a province on a planet or something and they have two options. Kill everyone they capture, or sell the spoils of war. At least when they are sold they aren’t dead and do have some rights. More often than not they are simply bought by a representative of their faction; basically freed again. With the small detail that they now owe their own faction a debt they have to play off. And for the ones that don't get sold back to their own faction, let me point out that families that are captured together are not allowed to be split up. Plus there are some people that do manage to buy themselves free, and if you do get the money the person that holds your contract has to sell it if you say that you want to go."
"But how get money if you don't get money," Kathryn asked.
"There are... ways," Onarsa assured. "For me, for instance, it would be easy. I'm a Draenei, I'm sure it would only take me a couple of months to screw enough money together to buy myself free. Part of the contract rules; the owner can't ask you how you got the money, nor can he argue that it's his anyway because you earned it while you belonged to him. Even if you pinched the money of him, you can still use it to buy yourself free from him. Remember theft is legal."
She hesitated a moment before admitting, "Well, for me personally it would probably even easier. As much as me being a Draenei is my best commodity, in that situation it would probably mean that the new owner would want to screw me every day. Rape me, to be very clear. So I would probably simply make him a deal. Tell him, 'listen, you can rape me, of course. But wouldn't you much rather want me to actually work along and rock your world? Tell you what, you set me free after a year, and in the mean time you can fuck me twice a day during which I will pretend to love it, make you enjoy it, make it last, and I'll even be nice and beg you to sleep with me if you had skip once for some reason. I'll even be nice and literally sleep in your bed at night and not kill you. And then in one year we part ways with no hard feelings, and I even fuck you once as a free person then just to say goodbye. How about it, should we set up that contract that you will free me in a year'?"
Janeway nodded slowly as she digested that. "I guess most would take the offer, exactly because you are Draenei, there would be a lot of ... relatively... nice people that would normally not buy slaves, but that once in a lifetime possibility to own a Draenei. Hard to pass up for someone that lives in an area where such contracts are legal."
"Yep," Onarsa agreed. "And in my case we would both be better off for it, because I would truly do my best for that year since I would see it as my punishment for getting myself in that position in the first place. Which, to align it with what I said before, in my case means that even if my owner were to be a guy, I would still sleep with him and make him think I love it. It's not that person's fault that I was up for sale, now was it? Or to go a different way, as actually happened with me once. I needed a mechanic for my ship and I was quite happy with the services of a slave on a starbase where I was picking up a run. He approached me, suggested that I buy him, and in return he would join my crew for as many years as I saw fit."
"You took the deal?" Kathryn guessed.
"There is a reason I needed a mechanic," Onarsa reminded. "I had a spot to fill, so the equation was not that hard. So the three of us; his owner, him, and me, sat down and talked business. Luckily for me the guy actually needed something I could provide so this time the payment for the slave contract was simply some goods and not my body, though I would have payed that way if it had been needed. That slave was, is, a damn good mechanic. An hour later we shook on the deal and all three walked out thinking that we made a good deal. No hard feelings. Even now his previous owner still joins me for a drink when I visit that base and we gossip about nice deals and piles of cash that is ready for the taking."
"And yet, you now own a slave," Kathryn pointed out.
Onarsa sighed. "Come on, Kathy, haven't you need listening? There was an agreement, a timeframe that he would work for me and then I would consider his services rendered and he would be free to go. Not that unfair if you keep in mind that I was the one that had to cough up the goods to buy his contract in full. Point is, his time was up six years ago, he once again has his Free Citizen certificate... and he is still working for me because he knows a good job when he sees one."
Onarsa looked out the window once more. "But that kinda brings me to what I was getting at. I know it all here. Know the rules, know the risks... and I know what the next week will bring. You, on the other hand, never know what next week will bring. A month ago you didn't know you would be here today, a week ago you did not know that you would be spending the night with a woman that has horns, hoofs, and a very sexy tail. And tonight you have no idea where you will be a month from now. Who you will be talking to then?"
Hearing the reminder of some of the differences body wise between them, Kathryn let her eyes drift over her new lover. Onarsa really did remind her something of the images of succubus, at least the seductively depicted ones. And Kathryn sure felt as if she had succumb to a charm, because looking back at all the people she had ever been with, male or female, if she was told right now that she had to pick one that she could only ever be with again, at least body wise, this woman was a clear winner.
Even over Seven and B'Elanna. There was just something about those forms. Those lines clicked so perfectly with Kathryn; as if this was finally the model where Mother Nature had gotten it right. And, Kathryn readily admitted, the fact that the description 'a daemon in bed' also fitted the sexual activities perfectly sure didn't hurt. Without exaggeration, Onarsa was the most skilled sexual partner she had ever been with. Not one of the most but 'the' most. Well, it probably helped that the woman had centuries of experience in sex and using sex as a commodity.
Clearly Onarsa had realized long ago that the better she was to her partners, the more they were willing to part with in goods as a reward. And it was clear by now to Kathryn that Onarsa actually loved to have sex, and that this was one of the reasons she was so willing to use her body as a commodity. Because even if she was 'paying' someone, Onarsa herself was getting pleasure out of it. Unless her business partner was a man of course, and Kathryn realized that only about one quarters of the business people she had met had been women. But then again, as Onarsa had said, the guys basically had to demanded it as part of the deal before she slept with them, so Kathryn guessed that this did happen, just not that often.
Kathryn realized that she could ask of course, but she had a feeling that the tall woman that was so free with info about herself would not appreciate having to come up with exact numbers. Besides, Kathryn thought, wo was she to judge? She, who was sleeping with a friend for the fun of it, and had just jumped into bed with someone else without thinking twice about it. True, all she had said was the truth, Seven really would ask her for details, Seven would probably try to also sleep with Onarsa if she was still around then.
All of it was true, and yet... definitely not everyone could jump around like that and have a clean conscious. So instead of asking, Kathryn decided to react to Onarsa's question who Kathryn would be talking to in a month instead. She placed a soft kiss on the tall woman's shoulder. "No matter who I'll be talking to, I can assure you that you will be on my mind for a long, long time."
"We Draenei can't die of old age, I told you that," Onarsa reminded. "This means that we look different at more than just the obvious things. For instance, most people I know strife to get somewhere, and once they have, they start fearing for how long they can still do it. Take Brann. His goal is a simple one. He has been working to get more goods, to have a bigger store to be able to house more goods, to be bigger, bigger. There will come a time where he will either die trying to get bigger yet, or where he will stop growing and wonder how he can maintain what he has."
"I'm there now," Kathryn said, not really knowing where Onarsa was leading, but knowing that talking was needed to keep the conversation going. "When I was a kid I wanted nothing but to be an Admiral like my dad. Not that I had any clue what that actually meant. Then I went to the Academy. Learned stuff. And I realized that actually, what I want is to be a captain. Now I am, and I know for a fact that I do not want to be an admiral. So what is there left? The only growth that I have is that I make it home and they give me a bigger ship to command."
Onarsa nodded. "With us Draenei it's different. We know upfront that we will probably want to do something else at some point, no matter how much we love what we do now." She looked out at the stars again. I used to wonder when I was little, what is out there? Then I did the best one can reach in that regard around here. I became a Runner. I have been to almost every planet in this contested zone. I have dealt with people that would love to kill the previous employer of mine, and that are probably on the hit list of my next employer. There is nothing for me to do, nothing left to grow. It is time to find something new to do. Problem was, I never found anything I like better. Until now. Because now my childhood question is viable again. What is out there, and how can I find out?"
Kathryn digested that for a moment, clearly understanding that Onarsa was suggesting. "But what about your ship, your crew?"
Onarsa laughed softly. "Just like I was once a second in command that worked to finally get the ship and captain's spot, I to have a second in command now, and he too has dreams. Dreams he hasn't fulfilled yet. Like one day being the captain of a Runner ship." She turned to face Kathryn and gently caressed her face. "I can guess some of the things that are running through your mind right now, and don't worry. As far as this is concerned, see me as that business person you met in Brann's place. I see an opportunity and am acting on it. I have no intention of causing problems. If your girlfriend comes back I'll be more than happy to be just a friend or yours, or even just a crew member."
"When she comes back," Kathryn corrected. "And as I told you before, that won't be a problem. Knowing Seven, and now knowing you a bit more, I can guarantee that both of you will end up sampling the goods, unless the chemistry between you is just totally off; which I sincerely doubt. And, who knows, you two might actually end up in a relationship if it clicks between you. But the bigger question is, what if after a while you find out that you don't like this new life after all? Once we are gone we won't be turning around."
"I know," Onarsa assured. "I don't see that as a problem. If I don't like it here anymore, I simply bid you and your ship goodbyes at the next planet you visit that has a society on it that I think I could fit into. It's simply time for something new for me, and around here, you are the only new I have seen in a long time."
Kathryn nodded in understanding. "Tell you what, those repairs won't change, and I already invited you to be my guest before you brought this up. So now I invite you again; be my guest. Stay on this ship, interact with people, see what you might want to do if you do stay, and when we leave here, I give you the choice to join us. I'll also give you limited computer access to the unclassified history of the journey this ship has been one since we became stranded in the Delta Quadrant. Read it, and learn some of the choices we made, and why we made them. Because sometimes we have to do things for the greater good, even if we don't want to."
"Like sending two friends off to a place where everyone tells you only death is to be found," Onarsa said in understanding.
"Things like that," Kathryn agreed.
"Deal," Onarsa agreed. "Then she asked with a smile, "So does that mean that I'll have to move into those guest quarters you showed me before?"
"You can," Kathryn allowed, "If you want to. Or you can stay on your ship and come over here every day. Or option number three is that you stay here. It is the option that is the least clear, but on the flip side is the most covering in dealing with stuff."
"How so," Onarsa wondered.
"Well," Kathryn said as she let a lover's hand drift over the tall woman's body. "It will show us if you and I get along more than just in bed. That will be a huge bonus for when we have to figure out just what out interactions will be once I am your Captain." Her hand came to rest on one shapely and firm ass cheek. "Another point is that B'Elanna and Seven are expected back before the repairs are done, so before we would leave. With you being here we most definitely will know just what the deal is between us three before we go. Just friends, you and Seven hitting it off? Seven getting jealous and deciding she wants a relationship after all? And not just to focus on Seven, I think B'Elanna could find you intriguing as hell. You two might hit it off as well. I can see that as well, you know, you and B'Elanna."
Onarsa grinned. "And maybe I like them both so much I steal them both from you and the three of us do the triangle thing while you sit in the cold."
Kathryn gave a small pout. "You are so mean."
"Well, alright," Onarsa relented with a smile. "With three of us, there is bound to be some surplus. Maybe one of us will sleep with you from time to time while two of us are having some alone time to bond."
Now Kathryn laughed. "Honey, trust me on this, if you three hit it off and formed a triangle, and decided to keep me on the side to screw on those occasions where you needed a fourth, I would consider myself in heaven."
Then she assured with a chuckle, "Nah, my money is still on Seven and B'Elanna hitting it off. Their biggest hurdle is that they are both damn stubborn. But if they managed to let that go and admit that they like each other, I wouldn't be surprised if they had shared a bed tonight just as we have. Well, with them it would be with the idea of it being permanent."
Onarsa smiled. "At least we don't have that problem. I like the time we are spending together, and I would love to have more, but I can feel that we are destined to be friends only. Friends that love to screw, but friends only."
Kathryn smiled. "I'm so glad I'm not the one that has to say it. After all my talk about Seven and B'Elanna, if I had started to give the 'let's just be friends' talk, I think I would have cringed with every word while not trying to sound like a hypocrite."
Onarsa nodded as she put an arm around the equally naked shorter woman and pulled her closer to mold body against body. Then she leaned down and kissed Kathryn before saying, "But friends that love to share some time horizontal, like you with Seven, now that has potential. Maybe we are lucky, and your friends really do come back and really did hit it off and are now a couple. You would need another sex play friend. I would love to volunteer."
"I just bet you would," Kathryn said amused as they parted a little again, kept standing hip to hip as they looked out at the starts, if they weren’t looking at each other at least. "Sounds pretty damn good to me. Of course, I have a feeling I wouldn't be the only one you would be sleeping with on this ship then."
"If we are friends only?" Onarsa clarified. "Definitely not. Would that de a problem for you?"
Kathryn shook her head. "Nah, in the Federation we have long since moved to fining it normal that the person that sleeps with you might not only be sleeping with you. It's in relations where we find that. If I'm in a relationship and my partner sleeps with someone else, it's cheating and it hurts. If we are just friends, at worst me might get a bit jealous because I am sure in the mood but my friend is already with someone else at that moment. A lot of that became casual when a species called the Risan joined the Federation. If you decide to hang around I'll tell you about them, but sufficing to say for now, they are very casual about sex and very big on friendships, and they showed us the benefits of casual sex with friends without the sex destroying the friendship. It's personal views and believes that decide whether you do it or not, and not social acceptance."
"On my ship it's different," Onarsa explained. "Since we tend to live on our ships it's kinds tradition on runner ships for families to live on them. Or on ships like mine, someone meets someone that is good enough to work on the ship and that person joins as well. So all others on my ship are in relationships."
Kathryn nodded. "Let me guess, even tough you see it as people's own tasks to guard their monogamy, you sure as hell wouldn't sleep with someone of your crew and mess up relationships there and sour a good working crew?"
"Got it in one," Onarsa agreed. "And that was fine because I come across enough people I like to the point where I offer myself to sweeten the deal, kinda like you. And if you add to that the business deals there sleep with people as part of the deal, my needs were definitely satisfied there as well. But just under the full disclosure idea, besides liking to make love, I also like variance, so if I join your ship you wouldn't de the only one." Onarsa grinned. "Probably a different species for every day of the week. You think you could handle that, only getting to sleep with me say ever third week day?"
Kathryn laughed. "God I think you will be a lot of fun to be around. "And if the others don't mind the fact that you spend time with their Captain as well, I could live with that." She though for a moment before adding with a smile. "Tell you what, not counting Seven and B'Elanna because,"
"Because you want them to b become an item," Onarsa interrupted, partly to tweak, party to show she got the hint by now.
"Did I mention that already?" Kathryn asked teasingly. "But not counting them, there are at the moment nine single women on the ship you might like. Seven if you exclude the Delaney twins. The twins are Human, and the other seven are of seven other species. Does that sound interesting? And I'm obviously only looking at women now since I know your preference."
"Why are you excluding those twins? Weren’t they the two women we saw when we came onboard the ship?" Onarsa asked. "They were... tasty."
"They were, and yes they are," Kathryn assured. "And I'm excluding them because... well, I'm not excluding them as such. They are single, just that they also aren’t really looking. They mess around with the occasional alien, so you might actually be able to sleep with them one or twice. But as soon as there is a risk of feelings starting to form they step away. Which is why they didn't get involved with someone of the crew. Other then, again, a romp or two."
"I have been with twins once," Onarsa said. "Trust me, I could handle them."
"Probably not the same thing," Kathryn said, deliberately not asking for details. "The twins love each other madly... as sisters. I think at best they might shower together sometimes to save time. I know from gossip that they might have slept with the same person, but they don't share as such. There is never more than one sister in the bed. Seems to turn them off more than an ice shower."
"And how do you know what they do in their quarters at night?" Onarsa teased. "Maybe they just pretend for the rest of you so you guys don't look at them weird."
Kathryn shook her head. "Nah. It's not that common, but it's also not unheard off. Especially between siblings that serve on the same starship. Far way from other family, but also not looking for a relationship because that one family member they love is so close... more than once that love has become physical. We do accept that in the Federation, since after all it does go along with that casual sex. If we were to accept it if they screw everyone under the sun, should we then condemn then for sleeping with only one person whom they love? Nah, the fact that it's not unknown actually pisses them off. As much as they love each other, a lot of people do assume there is more. Two sexy women that live together, that love each other, that can screw with each other legally? Well, they must be doing it every frewe minute of the day. And it pisses them off that they can't convince people that sisters can love each other more than life, and still sleep in the same bedroom without having sex."
Onarsa nodded, apparently willing to accept that. "So seven women of seven different species, nine if you include the twins, ten if you include you, eleven if you include me. Hmm, think about that, eleven single women of eight different species. We could make a girls club."
"A girls club?" Kathryn repeated.
Onarsa nodded with a grin. "I love the idea. I would of course be the ringleader that would decide who would sleep with who that night. Best part of that is that we would of course all agree, as part of being allowed in the club, that if two people retire for the night and accept that now it's club time, there is no rank. Got to make sure people don't piss themselves because the Captain is their assigned club member for that night."
"And the amazing part is, I'm not even sure if you are joking or are for real," Kathryn admitted, not knowing if she should shocked or laugh. "You do realize that even though I mentioned the single women, there are five of them I would never sleep with anyway."
"Because you don't like how they look or don't like their personality enough to get naked with them?" Onarsa asked, not giving a hint if she was actually joking.
"The last," Kathryn admitted after a long hesitation. "In looks, and just said between us where I don't have to be politically correct, I would say that three aren’t my type. But if I'm horny and they were willing I also wouldn't be turned off. I think I could have fun with them body wise, as long as they don't start talking other than saying 'right there'."
"And maybe you might even discover that you actually like talking to them if you are just chatting a bit after a very satisfying night of fun," Onarsa teased. They both chuckled before Onarsa finally relented. "Alright, relax. I'm mostly messing with you. And I say mostly because I have a little hobby. Sometimes I really do set up elaborate plans and wonder what could be. It keeps me sharp and able to come up with a good plan on the spot if really needed. So now with you telling me about all those single women, I am setting up this little plan for real but I sincerely doubt it will really happen. Liking the look of a body is nothing compared to liking a person. I assume there is a reason those people haven't already hooked up together."
Kathryn chuckled. "I'm not sure if I'm glad or disappointed to hear that."
Onarsa laughed. "Oh, but would you be willing to participate on a smaller scale? Me as the person that does set up people for the night,"
"Just to make sure you get the one in your bed that night that you want there," Kathryn interrupted amused.
"But of course," Onarsa freely admitted. Then she continued. "That would be what makes it so great. I can decide who I want that night, and every other club member, including you, would have no say at all. You guys would have no idea at all who you would be sleeping with that night, every night being a little surprise. Even if by then you have slept with that person dozens of time, simply because the you open that door, and only then you get that flood of feelings that seeing that person causes, knowing she loves this, and that tonight you probably will be doing that."
"There is something to that," Kathryn agreed. "Kinda like a blind date every night. Of course, there is the not so small detail of someone not being in the mood that day, or that you might actually have two people that love to sleep with everyone but this one person. Since you know their names by now, let's just say B'Elanna and Seven love the idea of being part of such a club, but the away mission went so wrong that they now hate each other and would never sleep with each other."
Onarsa shrugged. "That the benefit of having more people, people could just call me and say that can't make it that night or have other plans and I would simply take them out of the pool for that night. Might even benefit me because that means that sometimes there are uneven numbers and I can join a nice threesome. And it would then also be my self-appointed task to make sure I don't pair us B'Elanna and Seven on any night. Though probably for me more of the fun would be in trying to get them back together again and make them happy members of the club that might not like each other personally, but are willing again to have some sexual fun."
Then, clearly thinking about it for a moment, Onarsa asked, "Those twins, you think they would be interested, once we would be able to assure them that it's just casual sex between friends, and I would knew sure that their wishes would be totally respected. As in never have the two sisters in the same room during sex."
Kathryn also though about that for a moment, and at the same time not believing that she was actually giving such a situation honest thoughts. "Depends. If I were to suggest something like that, they would probably ask the Doctor to check if I went insane. But I would also not ever have dreamed only an hour ago that I would have given such a... club... serious thought. So it would be up to you to convince them, and convince them that I really can de just a woman that's fun in bed and not be their captain then."
Onarsa smiled. "See? That would already make four of us. Now let us assume that you are right and your crew members still live. How about Seven and B'Elanna?"
"Well, I can't speak for them for sure, but as a wild guess? Seven would like it, B'Elanna would first object but be easy convinced as long as it clearly is totally casual. She would have to be able to compare the casualness with just screwing someone she doesn't know on an away mission. But the fact that some of us would also be her friends might demand that she go for a real relationship."
"Then she would probably be teaming us with Seven as you wish anyway, since she would consider others, like you and me, taken since we are in the club," Onarsa said, proving that she truly did listen to every detail. Then she grinned. "So now think about it for a moment, Sexy me in that club, your Seven that everyone wants to screw anyway, according to you, then B'Elanna, and the twins, and let's not forget you. You think the rest of the single women would need much convincing to join my little club?"
"Probably not," Kathryn said. "At least not until the first problems show up and your little club implodes."
"Which is why you need a leader," Onarsa noted, "And that leader could never be you. There would have to be a referee that listens to Ensigns as much as to Captain. Someone that is willing to sit all night and talk through a problem with two people that had a falling out. And trust me, as Captain of a runner ship where the entire crew was in two person relationships I did my share of long night relationship counseling. And as you already figured out, here, now, my reward would be that I would get to sleep with all of you and even pick what I'm in the mood for that day while the rest of you simply sleep with the person I set you up with that night."
"If you were to keep that secret that could be a lot of fun to," Kathryn noted. "As in, I would never know who would show up at my door and all of it would be a treat. You, or is it Seven, or B'Elanna, or Jennifer? Or maybe it's Lang that comes knocking. Ensign Lang works in security, and while she is a fine crewmember, she is one of those where I said I would probably not sleep with her. But I have to admit, there is something exciting to the though of the door opening and having her stand there. Who knows, maybe she is totally into being able to order me around for a change. Sometimes I do like to just surrender it all if the mood is right."
Onarsa smiled. "So now you know, before we even made the choice if I really do go along. No secrets. If I join you, I will find myself a few people to play with and if you want to be one of them you will have to share. But if you are nice about it I'll let you share all of them. There probably only be a few, but I won't stop because there are already four people or such. It will be a girl club with clear rules. As in we all play equal. And of course, people are free to have some fun outside the club. Those sisters for instance, I would not want to withhold them the fun of finding themselves some guy on an away mission. Nor would I begrudge you that. As I said, I don't prefer sleeping with men, but I have done it, and don't begrudge others something them might find fun."
Kathryn though about it for a moment. "Well, the fun part about that is that you would be managing it, and therefore, if you do it right I would never officially have to find out in my position as Captain. After all, none of the club members would sleep with the Captain; they would sleep with another club member. Though I have a feeling that the single guys might become jealous for not being allowed in the club."
"Well, it would be a girl's club," Onarsa reminded. And as much as I like men as friends, I sure wouldn't want to be the one to arrange who they sleep with. Who knows, maybe they are lucky and two girls I set up for that night decide to call a guy friend over for some fun. That would be there choice."
"That could happen," Kathryn agreed. "Because small detail, I don't even know if all of those women even like sleeping with another woman. I know the twins do sometimes, and clearly I know Seven, B'Elanna, You, and I, do. After that you would have to find out."
"I will," Onarsa assured. "I have a feeling that the fact that you have been traveling for years will help me out a lot. By now people that feel a romantic attraction have tried it, so even if this fun idea actually ever starts, it's not really like I would be taking chances away from the men. Those women are single now so the men aren’t sleeping with those women. But some of those women might share the bed with a guy sometimes if they are horny. What do you think, would such guys be upset that now those friends might be inviting them to threesomes?"
"Probably not," Kathryn said amused. "Though they might be upset with their friend that normally sometimes sleeps with them now instead sleeping with another woman instead. But then again, if they already have such a relationship, why give it up? You are right, it's more likely the guy sometimes gets invited as well if the girl is with another girl and they both like the guy anyway."
A moment of silence fell as the realized that this crazy idea had gone as far as it could at that point. Now what was left was to sleep on it and see with the light of day f they had just had some fun nonce talk or if there was a plan to start working with.
Then Kathryn wondered. "Hmm, now that we agreed that we don't see us becoming a couple, I'm curious. Doesn't your long living interfere with that? Finding someone, I mean. If I live another hundred years, it'll be a lot. Don't you get depressed from seeing people you love die?"
Onarsa shook her head. "We mourn them of course. But we already know that we will live longer then anyone we meet. Even within my own species. As I said, I will look like this until the day I die. So just how old we are doesn't really matter once we are adults. It could easily be that I meet someone I fall for, and she happens to be ten millennia older than me. But even then, who dies first? Maybe I actually die first because the ship I'm on explodes. We have long since gotten use to it. People die, it happens. We don't see it as us no longer being together, we see it as us having spend time together and now we don't."
"That's confusing," Kathryn noted.
Onarsa though for a moment before trying again, "You see, with most species I know, let's say you and Seven love each other madly, and she did die now... sorry bad example."
"I still don't think they are dead," Kathryn insisted, "So do feel free to use the name."
"Alright," Onarsa agreed. "If you loved each other madly, and she now died, then you would be heartbroken and never, ever, for the rest of your live be able to love someone again. But clearly a few years later you might think differently. Let's say that five years later you met this friend called B'Elanna. You might fall in love with her then and go on loving once more."
Kathryn nodded her agreement. "True, so?"
"But let's say that Seven dies, and literally that same day you meet this woman called B'Elanna. Would you fall in love then, or would your grief prevent it? Or would you yourself prevent it, telling yourself that you are disgracing your now dead lover?"
"The last," Kathryn assured, "but I have a feeling you already knew that."
Onarsa nodded. "It is the most common way. But not with us. Let's say that Seven was my lover and I lost her today. I may have grief just like you, but we realize life goes on and you have to think of the future. So at the funeral of my lover I would meet this stranger called B'Elanna. I would feel for her, even though I still feel for my dead lover. And right there during that funeral I might even flirt with B'Elanna and nobody will look at me weird. In fact, most will smile, glad to see that I will be able to move on."
Onarsa shook her head, "But, we don't forget our lovers. Because in that situation, once my relationship with B'Elanna would be secure enough to be able to cope with a grieving person, then I would seclude myself away from B'Elanna as best ass reasonably possible and go to pieces from the grief that Seven is gone. And as I lie there crying my eyes out, a fully understanding B'Elanna would come in and make sure I eat. She would hold me as I go to pieces and grief in one week all the grieving your other species often do over the rest of your life."
Onarsa paused a moment fore affect before assuring, "I'm not kidding there. The feeling your grief part is well set in with us. We even call it that, if someone would come to visit me during that time, B'Elanna would say to them, 'now is not a good time, my wife is living her grief for her lost love'. And the person that came to see me would accept that and come back in a few days. It is even assumed that you won't go out, won't go to work, nothing. You just spend time secluded from others, miserable, and cry your eyes out. Before finally, days later, going out to see your new lover and thanking her with a smile and sensual kiss for giving you your time. And taking care of you while you were a sobbing mess."
Kathryn nodded in understanding. "It's not that you won't ever think of the dead lover again; you will. You might even feel sad about it, but your grieving is done and now it's time to focus on the next part of your life. And because of this, it realy doesn't matter how long the species of your lover can live, because once she died, life will eventually bring your someone else to love."
Onarsa agreed with a small smile.
Kathryn couldn't help but ask, "Have you lost lovers before?"
"Five times," Onarsa said softly. "My last partner died a little over forty years ago. Nobody to blame before you ask. Just a freak accident on a ship. She was an engineer on the ship we worked on, and during an emergency she was running as suddenly gravity stopped working. Physics demanded that the speed she had assured that she lifted off the floor and drifted off... face first into an exposed power regulator."
Kathryn cringed and Onarsa nodded. "I hate closed casket funerals." Then she sighed. "this is depressing. How about we go do something fun?"
Kathryn nodded her agreement and moments later Onarsa felt fingertips trail teasingly down her tail. "I shouldn't have told you how wild that drives me."
Kathryn chuckled. "I see it as fair comparison for how wild you can drive me. Besides, I kinda like it, knowing that just doing that makes you hot and ready."
Onarsa laughed and started to move. "Come to bed so that I can show you just how hot and ready I am."
~~~
Kathryn rubbed her forehead as she sighed. She and Onarsa had just left the ready room where they had an hour long rather weird conversation with Tuvok and Chakotay.
It had started off easy enough with them discussing Onarsa joining the Voyager crew. Over the years several people had joined the crew, as well as some that had left; in whatever way. Yet Onarsa seemed to be one of the most unique situations yet. Neelix had been a great guide, and fast other skills started to shine, like being a good trader and accumulator of stuff needed.
Then, just as they moved outside the area that Neelix could be a good guide for, Seven joined the crew. Her Borg knowledge was amazing, her knowledge of species was excellent, and on top of that she was one of the best engineers on the ship... if she did stuff the Voyager way. And if that hadn't been enough, her knowledge of areas and space in general was so advanced that they had even build a whole apartment just so that she could do her job.
But with Onarsa things were slightly different. True, she would be an excellent guide for the sector they were in. Her currant knowledge of there to go and who to trust was second to none. She knew stuff Seven had never heard off.
Seven had only known that this was a warzone with a lot of different factions that was not important enough to assimilate, so the Borg just ignored them while they waited for everyone to kill each other so that the Borg could then finally come in and assimilate the last species standing who by then also would have acuminated all the interesting technology.
But as much as this was true, Voyager was on a straight course to the Alpha Quadrant that would take them out of the space Onarsa knew about in a month at best. Sure, she had enough skills to help her engineers when they repaired her ship, but on Voyager with new technology that basically meant that she was just good enough to become a low level Engineer that might be able to fix a shuttle on an away mission. Not that she would ever go on an away mission as an Engineer.
No, all of them, including Onarsa, agreed that the one thing Onarsa did have was command experience. The woman was a skilled Captain that knew how to manage a crew and knew how to be diplomatic enough that she could make deals with people that wanted to kill each other and yet let her do her thing. Of course, they had gathered information about Onarsa to see if all her words were true. And they were. Everyone had once again been more than happy to talk about their good friend Onarsa... as long as you didn't ask them what kind of jobs she had ran for them. The Starbase had been happy to hand over records of proof once Onarsa had clear it, and all was legit and held up to scrutiny.
It had been a surprisingly clean record, especially if you knew what Onarsa actually did. But the Starbase's public relation's officer had been able to explain that. No matter how bad the war, no matter how much you truly, for real, no joke, wanted someone dead, sometimes you also wanted something only the other side had. So you had two option. Either you went looking for a smuggler and had to hope you weren’t ripped off, or worse poisoned because they had laced something to give it more volume.
Or you accepted that certain individuals had a profession in which they sometimes dealt with your enemy but that on the plus side had papers of origin, ingredients documents, and maybe even that bottle of amazing ale only the other side made. And so runner ships were legit with clear documents, and it was accepted as long as they didn't do anything wrong in your territory.
Nobody had to explain to Kathryn that these honest business people were probably also the biggest smuggler. But still, at least the stuff they smuggled was the real stuff, just that you weren’t supposed to be able to buy it in your zone.
So the conclusion was that Onarsa would be perfectly suited for a command position. There was just a small problem; Voyager didn't need another Captain, or Commander. At best, what they could come up for command would be to have a designated Beta Shift Commander that would then always take the command. Normally Beta and Gamma shifts commands were filled on rotation by the Alpha shift people that pulled their double shift of the week. So it could be that Alpha shift ended, Tuvok stayed on the bridge for Beta shift, and Harry would come in for Gamma shift and then stay on until the end of Alpha shift.
It was agreed that it would not be the worst idea ever to have a dedicated person who's only job was to come in on Beta shift and take command every day. And for that Onarsa would be very suited because she was a skilled Captain that could definitely hold the ford until the Alpha crew showed up for the called red alert.
To which Onarsa had asked if she could command the Gamma shift instead. Because all the alpha shift members would have beta shift as their time off to do stuff and gamma shift as their time to sleep. Which would mean that Onarsa would hardly have any time to interact with people other then well and truly sleep, as in rest, with them. But Onarsa sure wouldn't mind actually going to work while others went so sleep since that wouldn't interfere with her club duties as such since all of that fun was normally done before falling asleep.
And so it was decided that, yes, there was room there for Onarsa, if she accepted that she sometimes would have to do other stuff. Sometimes they would be so short on Engineers that her mediocre skills would be in hot demand. And sometimes her skills at planning to get stuff to a destination would come in very handy.
Of course, it was then that Kathryn explained what Onarsa meant with a 'girl's club' and just what the plan was of what club members would be doing with each other. Even though it was easy to say that command had nothing to do with that, so it was none of Tuvok and Chakotay's business, Kathryn knew this wasn't true. Both of them men would have to be able to live with the changes such a wild plan could bring to the ship. Since it definitely wasn't normal Federation ship behavior.
And then to Kathryn's utmost surprise, both of the men told Onarsa to go for it. Tuvok did give the stipulation that Kathryn should never get a decision making position higher than just a club member and all that entailed like of course being able to not wanting to sleep with someone. And then went on to point out that things had been the same too long. There was something new needed on the ship. And even though such a 'club' would only have less than ten percent of the crew, if would definitely shake things up. Tuvok went on to admit that he had felt a certain tone of depression slowly setting in. Something he had noticed in the past as well, and both times it just so happened that a new crew member joined and stirred things up.
First Neelix with his mess hall that forced people to spend social time together instead of eating in their quarters. Then a few years later Seven with all the changes she had brought. And now there was a new person who clearly had some ideas that might shake a few things up again.
Kathryn had assumed to get more of an opposition from Chakotay, but he agreed that the women that were single now suddenly finding... a club to join instead of going to the holodeck for that, wouldn't change much. But then he noted that if the Captain allowed for a girl's club like that, then she should not be surprised if other groups might form clubs as well and that if managed right, she would have to allow that as well then. Maybe a boy's club.
And so, they had agreed that if Onarsa stayed, she could start her little club.
"I must admit," Kathryn said as she finally stopped rubbing her head, "That was one of the weirdest casual discussion I have had with those guys."
Onarsa laughed. "I bet. You do realize that your Chakotay already has an idea for a club as well, right? He agreed too fast. Maybe it is something he already talked about with some of his friends and you basically gave him the green light to start something he would never have otherwise, thinking that you would never accept it."
Kathryn nodded slowly. "Yeah. I do know that lately he, Tom, Harry, and two other guys are spending a lot of time on the holodeck, pooling their rations to do stuff for hours on end twice every week. But before you say it, as much is I can see most of the single ladies on this ship being willing to join the club and play with other girls, most of those guys I just can't see playing with other guys. Tom and Harry maybe. But, as open we the Federation is, testosterone is still a thing. Girls are more likely to play with another girl even if they are straight, then men are to play with men. For a girl, anything another girl can do to her, she already knows from straight sex, or from playing with herself. Not so much for men. They might know what it feels like to have a hand jerk them off, but that still doesn't mean they knew what it feels like to have a dick shoved up their ass."
Onarsa snorted at that last line. "That's a thing I noticed with men, from any species I have met enough to know about their sex life. Most of them don't mind doing a woman in the ass, but they get angry if you tell them that doing that to a guy will feel the same. But really for this conversation it doesn't matter; we are talking about a club for the single ladies."
Oh, the single ladies reminds me," Kathryn said. "You will have to make a decision on Samantha Wildman. She has a child, but her husband is in the Alpha Quadrant."
"If she is married, then she is not single," Onarsa pointed out.
"That's kinda the thing I'm getting at," Kathryn explained. "I didn't think her having a child would be much of a problem for you. As long as you live, I don't think she would be the first mother you ever slept with."
Onarsa snorted. "Hardly. It's the married part. As for your male crew members, who knows, maybe they go gangbang some hologram on the holodeck every time."
Kathryn wrinkled her nose in disgust. "Come on, don't be gross."
Onarsa laughed. "You shouldn't underestimate a good gangbang."
Kathryn looked at the tall woman in confusion. "And you would know this how, miss I don't like sex with men?"
Onarsa grinned. "I told you, I did sleep with men if it served me, just that it isn't my preference. "You would be amazed how many guys wand to fuck me bent over a table so that they can see my tail as they fuck me. There is this other Runner ship that sometimes helps me if the weapons of one ship aren't enough security, or they have a deal they can't run and contact me to offer me the job. They are in the rather interesting position that they have a crew of ten guys and one woman, and sadly for the guys, the woman isn't into men. So once every six months we meet up to settle bonuses and commissions. And we have a deal where they will take only twenty percent instead of the normal forty."
"And they and you, um," Kathryn said, not really sure if she should believe it.
"Actually," Onarsa said seductively, "What happens is that the sexy as hell woman goes lie on a table completely nude with her legs wide. Something those guys normally never see. So then I get nude and bend over and start eating her, and once we are at it, the guys come in and fuck me. They get a double treat of fucking me while they get to see what they normally never see; their colleague being nude and getting served while she moans and begs. And I on my turn just focus on her and pretend that I'm actually getting fucked by women with toys. It's actually damn hot as long as I don't see the guys. Since they take turn and go more than once, the deal is that as long as I'm being fucked, I keep eating... well, and use my fingers if my tongue needs a rest. It lasted more than three hours once. It's not often I get fucked so much that I really have trouble walking the next day."
Kathryn cringed. "I don't think I could take that. Either the intercourse, or even just being the other woman and getting licked for so long."
Onarsa smiled. "Well, I don't keep eating all the time. It's actually during those sessions where I got so good at how to keep a woman on the edge for so long. Tell me you didn't like it when I kept you on the edge for half an hour last night."
"I can't," Kathryn had to say. "That was definitely fun."
"See," Onarsa gently, and without humor this time, "I have learned long ago that sometimes I have to do stuff I rather not, so I decided to use those times to learn. Originally those guys wanted me as a payment for something I did owe them. Now that, I really didn't want. So I decided to make my counter offer if their female crew member wanted to play. And she definitely wanted to play. So now it's fun as long as I don't see the guys and therefore am not really remembered that what's fucking me is a real man and not just a 'just like real' toy. I tend to ignore their groans and focus on her moans instead."
Onarsa shook her head. "Nah, trust me, I'm skilled enough to draw it out and let the woman enjoy what I'm doing. Let her rest while I stimulate her just enough to stay warm. It's really me that has to deal with most of it. Just like you, I don't life getting fucked on an on. Eventually you get sore, even me. But since it's only ever half a year, I can deal with it. Two hours of being fucked is doable for me, as long as I stay wet enough."
"But you just said three," Kathryn noted.
"My point," Onarsa merely countered. "Normally it last about two hours, but that time it all just worked out right, I was horny as hell. My female lover was really in the mood. The guys all having fucked me on meetings before and therefore coherent enough to focus on mutual fun instead of being lost in their won lust. Honestly, all of them knew up front they would get a couple of turns so they could take their time and enjoy it and take it slow. So no getting pounded by guys that can have me for the first time, instead it was getting fucked by guys that wanted their own fun to last. Nice, and slow, and long deep strokes. Fuck that was amazing."
"I see," Kathryn said before nodding. She still couldn’t imagine having three hours of sex without break while being stimulated all the time, but she definitely agreed that when using a toy that was exactly how she wanted it to be used on her. Or better said, in her. Long and slow and deep. Finally she said, "You must be glad that you can have multiple orgasms."
"It's very convenient," Onarsa agreed with a grin. "As you found out yourself, I normally come at least twice but my record, which was set during that three hour gangbang. I came about once every fifteen minutes, which means twelve orgasms, and then we kicked the guys out while she washed me and gently soothed me pussy... another three times."
"See, now you make me cringe again when you reminded me of clearing you off," Kathryn said as she did indeed cringe. Please don't tell the guys actually came in you and still kept... ewww, just ewww."
Onarsa Laughed. "Goddess I think I will love telling you some of my sorted stories. Just seeing you react to them. Naw, remember we had time. And as much as guys gangbanging a woman is often talked about, not many actually like the idea of putting their dick in the same hole someone else just came in. No, the deal was that all of them used Gnomery Condoms. You have those?"
"Nope, we don't really use condoms anymore," Cathryn explained. "Nowadays women get a regulator as soon as they hit puberty, so we can't get pregnant unless we have that deactivated by a doctor, and we are inoculated to all diseases that we know of that spreads that way. Every year we get a shot that makes us immune. As the saying goes, if we come across a disease not covered by that general inoculation, we have bigger problems to worry about."
"Then maybe I should upload the program in your replicator," Onarsa suggested. "Since convenience is something to keep in mind. Gnomery condoms are only one atom thick, sticks to your skin so there is no fear of it sliding off until you remove it, but they still stretch so they move with growth of the member. They are also impossible to tear unless you go at them with engineering tools. And best of all, since they are so thin and they stick to the skin, the guy truly feels no difference between wearing one or not."
Kathryn grinned. "Ah so no worries about prince charming secretly taking it off to feel better?"
Onarsa laughed, "None wat so ever. They are a goddess' gift for certain multi partner situations. Especially if the woman hands them to the guys. Since believe it or not, there is even technology worked into them. Not too extreme, but it's not needed. Since it's enough for you to set up a scanner that warns you if there is any guy in the room that doesn't have a condom around their member. Even going limp is no excuse since the elasticity will still make sure it stays on. No trust me on this, they used these condoms, then left the room to get rid of their used condoms, clean themselves, and put a new one on and then waited their turn again. While my sensor made sure all of them were properly... covered."
"Maybe you should upload those to Voyager," Kathryn agreed. "If nothing more, they could be useful on away missions. Much easier then having to scan a potential romp to see if a woman can get pregnant or sick from a guy. Regardless if the crewmembers is male or female. For both it would be easy to have some with them in their normal away pack. One of the guys once had a nasty surprise."
"Oh?" Onarsa asked. "Do tell. If you can."
"I can," Kathryn assured. "He actually wanted this story to be public so that the other guys knew what could happen. He hooked up with a woman on some planet. Really pretty girl, he felt like he had won the lottery, and she was really into it. Amazing foreplay, from his telling at least, and then he sticks his member into her and it's like he is pushing in into a vat of acid. Turns out that he Human guy's precum and their species' girls wetness, react to each other and form a literal acid. Which is why they didn't find out during foreplay. She had tasted his precum just fine when she went down on him, he definitely went down on her and actually loved the taste. All of that was fine. But once the fluids mixed, then it wasn't fun. Both him and the poor girl had to be treated by the Doctor."
"Auch," Onarsa said in sympathy. "I lukily never had anything like that."
Then Kathryn wondered, "So you really think the guys are doing that to holograms on the holodeck?"
Onarsa shook her head. "Nah, actually I do have a good guess. Did you ever check if they have racing clothes? I am partially guessing here, but I have seen something like this a few times in zones where they do use holodecks. Some men love to screw women, some men just like to hang out with their buddies, so what often happens is that they start some kind of racing group where they have it all. They can do manly man stuff, and at the end there is a little party at which the waitresses are just there to hand out drinks... but also don't mind going to a little private room for a quick fuck if one of the guys wants that. And so the guy that wants to just hang just hangs, and the guy that wants to fuck gets to hang, and fuck."
"Now that, I can see happening," Kathryn agreed. "Though with us it would more be a bike club. You know what a bike is?"
"If you mean the kind with an engine, then yes," Onarsa assured. "On some planets they are still used. On Azeroth they are some weird kind of status symbol. Everyone wants to have one, yet most people don't bother to buy one because they prefer transport that won't stop working if you don't have gas. Most people prefer horses and drakes. But to come back to this Samantha, why would this married woman potentially be interested in being part of the club?"
"Because she is only married on paper," Kathryn explained. "Samantha was just pregnant when we got lost here. At home everyone thought we were dead,"
Another reason you are so sure your crew members still live," Onarsa interrupted. "Because you yourself were once assumed dead."
"More than once, and yes," Kathryn agreed. "The point is, as we also talked about yesterday, once someone is dead, eventually most people move on. Samantha's husband did, and though Samantha didn't find someone else, she also wasn't too heartbroken to find out that her husband had someone else now."
Onarsa frowned but said nothing.
Having seen the frown, Kathryn explained, "I never asked, but I think that though they might have loved each other, they never were much in love. More like, 'oh I like this guy, we have fun together, I like being with him, I must be in love'. Going through the motions and not thinking if they really should. You can see it in the fact that he never even applied to join Samantha on this trip. He is a scientist like her, I'm sure a spot could have been found. But no he just kept in his old job where they had met. Point is, he is in a relationship now and has a child with that woman. Something we found out about like a year back when we finally managed to make contact with the Federation."
"And she is still married to him, because..." Onarsa asked, not getting that part. "I assume that such a relationship can be broken over long contact. They wouldn't be the first couple ever being far apart."
Kathryn waved her off. "It's some weird bureaucratic nonsense. They are married with a timed contract that ends in little under a year. All nice, all already agreed who owns what. But if they were to break the contract open now, all kinds of law would have to be dealt with, including property laws. It's a whole mess. So instead they decided to basically wait out the clock. They did already sight an agreement that they would not hold each other to their vows, since it would be kinda weird if he was not allowed to sleep with his new girlfriend and mother of his other child. So Samantha is still married but I myself have seen the document that says that she doesn't have to act like it. So she would be suited for your little club if you accept this as her being single."
Onarsa hummed, which of course sounded more like a sexy purr to Kathryn. "How about I decide if I see her. Let's see if she is sexy enough for me to forget the is married."
Kathryn gave her a playful slap against the arm. "Be nice. Samantha is a really nice woman,"
"And you would love to sleep with her," Onarsa interrupted amused.
Kathryn merely smiled before pointing down the corridor. "Oh look, it's the twins."
The Delany sisters had seen them and had politely held the door for their captain. Though given the looks they sisters were favoring the sexy Onarsa with, Kathryn had a feeling that the Draenei was the main reason they had held the door.
"Ladies," Onarsa purred as she deliberately passed between the sisters to enter the turbo lift. Making sure that she had turn enough that her front brushed against one of them and her behind against the other. The sisters followed with equal smiled, before Kathryn finally entered.
"Where to?" Jennifer finally asked after they had all looked at each other for a while.
"Well, that depends," Onarsa said as she boldly took Jennifer's hand and placed a soft kiss on it. "Do you ladies care to follow us for a moment to the Captain's quarters? I want to talk to you in private."
"Onarsa," Kathryn started.
"Well, I could just start talking in this turbolift," Onarsa countered, "But I have no idea who could walk in on us."
Kathryn sighed and shook her head. "I can't believe I'm doing this. Fine, Captain's quarters it is."
~~~
"You are joking, right?" Megan asked. "Where is the holo-recorder placed?"
Onarsa gave a teasing smile. "Nope, that's one of the rules to make sure it stays fun. Nothing ever gets recorded, no matter what you are in to. If you want to relive having sex with someone, you just wait until you are matched up again. Of course, you can always ask me if I can match you up with that person a little sooner."
Both of the sisters glanced at the Captain off and on long enough for Kathryn to speak up. "That will be one of the biggest problems. For people to believe that I'm just a... club member. To believe that some innocent bedroom talk wasn't also heard by the Captain."
Then she sighed. "Normally I would never think about something like this, but Onarsa can be very convincing. And it made me think, All that time keeping my distance from the crew, didn't make taking the hard choices easier. Onarsa knows the planet Seven and B'Elanna were sent to, and she thinks that they won't be back. And I still think they were the best choice to send, regardless of my personal feelings to either of them. But on the flip side, I had a few relationships and you ladies have to admit gossip didn't get out from that from me."
"That reminds me," Jennifer said, "Seven and B'Elanna as well?"
"If they are willing," Kathryn agreed. "But I actually hope they won't. I just have this gut feeling that the next time we see them they will be a couple."
"They did start to get this vibe," Megan agreed.
"Vibe?" Her sister asked.
"You know, what we already talked about," Megan explained. "Those looks when the other isn't looking. Nothing too big. It's just like thy finally started to think, maybe... nah. So if they managed to drop the 'nah', then I can see it."
Jennifer looked back at Onarsa before asking, "So, this is a single ladies club? You said we can sleep with others as well, though I'm not yet that sure about you appointing us people to sleep with that night."
"I'll make sure that you won't mind sleeping with any of the members of the club," Onarsa assured. "And if there really is something unforgivable, that still doesn't mean you can't sleep with the others. Surely you would be able to accept that other club members sleep with that person you don't want to sleep with, as long as you don't have to do it, right? Honestly, the whole point is that the not knowing is part of the fun. Dreading each day that it will be 'that' person is not fun. I'll make sure it stays fun."
Onarsa shrugged. "And remember, all of this is in fun and shoul stay fun. It's not like you are forced to actually sleep with that person that came to your door. If you really aren’t in the mood to sleep with her that night you can opt out, as long as it's just occasionally. If you were to opt out and not sleep with Kathryn here every time she showed up, then we would have to discuss what the problem is and deal with it. And there is also not being in the mood to think about. People will always be able to contact me until a certain time to say they are not in the mood that night. Since they don't know who they would have been paired with this can't be used to avoid some people, yet it does give people an out of they aren’t in the mood or have to work a double shift, or, or, or. That's why you need to keep all of that in mind and that is above all ranks,"
"In the Club," Kathryn said softly.
"Of course," Onarsa agreed fully. "Trust me on this, I'll do my hardest to make problems disappear. Every night, every night, when that door opens you should have a huge smile on your face and pull that person eagerly into your room."
"No sexy sisters stuff," Jennifer demanded. "I appreciate the fact that you do understand that Megan and I don't fool around, but I want this to go all the way. Even if you set up one of those threesomes since it's an uneven number that night. Never, ever, will there be two sisters in the room."
"I promise, I won't set that up," Onarsa assured. "And I also promise that I won't hold it against you if you do. So I will never say, 'well, I know you had a three-way with this person so why not do it now as well'."
"Trust me on this, that will never happen," Jennifer said resolutely.
Onarsa shrugged. "That's what the twins I have been with also said in the beginning. Problem was, the tree of us shared one set of quarters. First one of them would find somewhere else to be, but after this had happened one too many times it turned into them being in the same quarters but different rooms. And then one day I was in the shower with one of the girls after having had some fun and it turned into some more fun. Then all of a sudden her sister came in from her day of work being so dirty that she couldn’t wait for us to be ready. She told us to go have fun somewhere else and started to shower."
Onarsa gave a sexy smile. "It was her sister, granted probably still turned on form what we had been doing, that freely stepped back under that shower and started to wash her sister. They made love, and once they remembered they weren’t alone they pulled me in the shower for more fun. From then on there were always three of us in the bed. Though I only ever saw them make love that one time. Not counting some innocent contacts as they happened to be close and touch because of that, of course. They told me that the one time they had make love had been enough to get it out of their system, but that they had decided that from then on they would definitely not hesitate to love someone at the same time."
When Onarsa finished her little story, she had three women looking at her with rapped attention. She smiled at Kathryn before finishing by saying, "That's why I said to you, who knows what they do alone in their quarters."
"God, you can tell sexy stories," Megan managed to say as she swallowed to try and wet her throat.
"It's her voice," Kathryn pointed out. "If someone else had just told you that, it would probably just been interesting. But her voice makes all the difference. The accent, It's so sexy, and you haven't even heard her purr yet."
"The problem is that just like those sisters in your story, we have tried it, but unlike those sisters, we didn't come to the conclusion that having sex in the same room is cool." Jennifer admitted, earning her a healthy slap to her arm from her sister. She looked at Megan before saying, "If we really want to try this, then I want them to know, all of those girl club members to know, so that they understand why it's not for us."
After a moment of hesitation, Megan nodded and Jennifer explained. "At the academy we were asked if we wanted to share quarters or wanted to share with strangers. Easy choice for us. It was heaven for us. We loved, still love, our parents like mad, but parents are parents and as much as we love them, on the Academy we were finally free. We could do what we wanted, we were grownups. And by that time we were also sexually active."
"We sometimes brought someone home," Megan added. "And yes, we also set up a whole system to make sure that the other sister wouldn't be there. But we realized that the only thing those people for us did was satisfy our body. And with everyone we brought to our room we realized that what we were looking for was already besides us. We realized that we love each other more than regular siblings. But sadly we didn't realize that siblings can also love each other more than just regular and still not have it be romantic love."
"We do love each other," Jennifer repeated. "And that love is strong, a lot stronger than most couples we see. So we put one and one together and came out at three. We love each other, we sleep with people that mean nothing to us and do nothing for us. So clearly that means that our love is romantically, more so since Megan and me do have a pull for each other."
"We just didn't realize that it's the pull of being together," Megan explained sadly. "The pull of us just being in the same room making me feel happy from Jenifer being there and doing something that might even annoy me."
"Come on, I stopped playing the drums years ago," Jennifer said with a smile. Then the smile vanished as she said what the other two women had long seen coming by now. "It was so obvious. We love each other, we like making love... well, duh. We started... the kissing was alright, we do that often enough even now yet. Yes, we do kiss behind close doors, but that's all we do. We kiss to show how much we love each other, as sisters."
"The rest though," Megan said sadly. "We went through the motions, hoping the other liked it. We were inside each other, so we can never pretend we didn't have sex, we did. And I noticed how dry Jennifer was, she definitely wasn't having fun."
"And I felt Megan's tiers dripping on my face," Jennifer continued. "So finally we stopped and cried ourselves silly. It took us weeks to get over that, over two months to once again get that vibe between us. To now you can probably understand why it triggers us so much if people assume we have sex. Because in hindsight we both think that it was others telling us that it's fine that pushed us to do what we didn't want to do."
"I think, nowadays it brings another benefit," Megan said, trying to lighten the mood. "Because clearly we do share, just not at the same time. And we love gossip about how it was. So Jennifer may tell me about how she was with this girl and I love hearing it and it makes me want to experience that as well. But in the end it still is only talk so I don't see if my experience was better or worse then hers. We just known that the both of us had fun."
Onarsa nodded. "As I said, I can keep certain things in mind if I plan stuff. And the rule of never have both sisters in the same room is an easy one to work with. Now, since you said that you would want all members of the girl's club to know what you just told us, does that mean you are willing to join the club?"
"Tell you what," Jennifer said after looking at her sister for a moment, "I haven't heard you talk about a trial period yet. Throw that in there and we are game."
"Trial period?" Onarsa asked confused.
Megan nodded. "Yes, trial period. Any potential new member must do a trial and can only become a member of the club if she has slept with all club members as part of that trial. Kinda like being an honorary member until she did the rounds. And if someone of us objects we can bring it forward so that you as the leader can see if you can save the situation. And then at the end of the trial we hold a vote and its majority rule that you also accept. After all if the majority want her in, then you can still start doing that whole, 'never put those two together' thing."
Kathryn's eyes got wide as she heard that. "Now that's a good idea. Why didn't I come up with that? It would take care of two potential problems."
"Which are?" Onarsa wondered.
Kathryn grinned. "First, you will find potential problems before a person is part of the club and you can then decide if it's a deal breaker. Like now with Jennifer and Megan here, we found out why they won't sleep with each other, which by definition would mean that they can never sleep with all club members since they refuse to sleep with one. In this case you can see why and it's no problem for you. But maybe it would have been Seven and me and the only reason was that I don't want people to know that we do indeed sleep with each other. In which case you could simply tell me to just get over it already."
"Good point," Onarsa agreed. "And what is the second reason?"
Kathryn shrugged. "To be blunt? It could very well be that someone learns of the club and simply want to join because it's finally the way to screw some of the women she has wanted to screw for a while now. You have clearly never met Seven, but I can tell you that most people on the ship, man or woman, would jump at the chance to have sex with her. You might even find that once they used their chance to be able to screw her, that they suddenly decided that joining the club in not their thing and drop out right after."
"She had a point," Jennifer said. "Hell, I would probably be one of those people if it wasn't for the small fact that I already been with Seven."
"You have?" Kathryn asked surprised.
"We have," Jennifer corrected. "Well, not at once, clearly, as we just discussed, we don't share. Don't tell me you thought Seven was a virgin once you two started to mess around."
"I know she wasn't," Kathryn said. "I noticed that the first time we made love. I just never asked her who her previous lovers were. To be honest, I just assumed that it had been on some shore leave. We have all been there. The benefit of being an alien to the people you are visiting. You look different. And different is sexy. I best most of us end up making a special friend for a day or two when we have leave. Even I managed to do that and I'm normally the one stuck in meetings and whatnot during those days. So how did the two of you, you know?"
Megan winked at her. "We were just following your orders, Captain. When we were building Astrometrics it was mostly Harry and Seven. But at some point, Jennifer and I were ordered to help and, remember that day when you had Seven, Megan, and me in your ready room and clearly ordered up to work together. And while looking at Seven you added, 'and don't throw ideas they come up with out of the window just because it's not your idea'."
"Yeah, I remember that," Kathryn agreed. "And?"
Jennifer spread her hands a little. "And, at the end of the first day Seven was really dirty. She said she would take a sonic shower in Sickbay before going to regenerate. I offered her that she could just use the shower in Megan and my quarters. And then I teased her and said as a joke. 'Tell you what, we could share the shower and I could wash your back'."
Now Kathryn chuckled. "And knowing Seven back then, she thought you meant that literally."
"She did," Jennifer agreed. "And once we were under that shower, naked, and I was washing her back, I offered her, thinking that she would totally understand what I meant, that I could make her feel really good if she wanted. I say 'thinking that she would understand', because she agreed, but as soon I started touching her a bit more intimately, she suddenly grabbed my arm and then squeezed my wrist so hard I think it was close to breaking."
Jennifer chuckled before admitting, "I confess, I felt really stupid, kneeling there, having dropped to my knees from the pain, her standing there, facing me completely nude. If you took the pain of an almost breaking wrist out of the equation it would probably have been really sexy. Anyway, she asked me what I was doing and I said, 'what we just agreed to, I was going to make love to you'. So she had me explain what I meant. And halfway through my explanation, she understood and let go so that I could stand up."
"And you still make love after that?" Kathryn asked surprised. "That must have spoiled the mood."
"It did," Jennifer said. "But once I explained what I thought she and I had agreed to, Seven being Seven, thought about it for a moment and then said, 'Very well, proceed'. I have to admit that it was really a thrill to start making love to this woman that was clearly so strong. But, she was a good sport and just stood there and let me do... everything. And once I finally made her come, she just stood there for a long minute before suddenly looking at me and all but ordering 'again.' So, I did. I took her again right there in that shower. And once she came again, without asking or prompting, she started to do me. She clearly did exactly the same as I had just done to her, but that was alright since she proved to be a really good study and got me off in minutes."
Kathryn chuckled. "Oh, she is a good study alright. And that's without her deciding the wants more info and actually studying stuff."
Megan took over the conversation and nodded her head. "So I found out. What Jennifer just told you all happened while I wasn't home. And the little bitch didn't tell me but instead told me to suggest the next day, when I would be working with Seven' to offer her a shower."
"Now, now," Jennifer said, "Be nice. They don't know our codes."
Megan tilted her head a little and then said, "Fair enough. So part of how we interact and sometimes share is that instead of us just gossiping about it, we tell each other a good hint that is pretty sure to work. So when Jennifer told me to offer Seven a shower, while she had that grin and look in her eyes, I knew what she was on about. So, I offered Seven a shower and she merely said 'acceptable'. She was so cold about it, I was sure she thought I was literal. So, we got home, I was just showing her to the shower, not knowing she knew the way, when Seven told me, "I did some research and I believe a horizontal surface could aid. Where is your bedroom?"
Megan closer her eyes and smiled, clearly remembering. "God she fucked me silly. It's like she wanted to try everything she had learned. But, I did manage to return the favor somewhere in between. And we even managed to actually get under a shower then."
"That was a fun time," Jennifer agreed. "From that day, until astrometric was finished, Megan and I traded offering her a shower at the end of the day. One day she, the other day me, and it was a good thing since Seven proved relentless. We needed that day of rest just to make sure we didn't walk funny."
"She wasn't that bad," Megan fake scolded. "At least not once she understood that just because you know a lot, doesn't mean you have to do at all at once. Within two times with each of us, she had understood the concept of just one of two good orgasms being better than wanting to do it all."
"That's true," Kathryn agreed. "She is really good at finding that line where to fuck you senseless, and at the same time keep it reasonable and fun. So, if you three had this nice system down, why did you stop then?"
Jennifer shrugged. "Astrometrics was finished. And after that... I don't know... it was kinda like the shower thing had been the one excuse, and once the reason for a shower was gone, we didn't find a way to hint anymore."
"You should have just asked," Kathryn reminded. "It's Seven we are talking about."
"I know," Jennifer agreed. "But I also think that it was alright with Megan and I because we didn't want anyone else to come between us two, and the thing with Seven was becoming dangerously close to being a new norm. And even with Seven. If it's the choice between the norm being having sex with Seven every second day and loosing what Megan and I have, sorry, but Seven loses. Which is why, to bring it back to subject, I can see something in this club thing. Because, sure we would be doing something with a different person each day, but the point is that everyone involves knows that after that we expect them to leave Megan and me alone."
"Alright," Kathryn agreed. "Back to subject. We were talking about a trial period. If we have a trial period and this person is convincing enough to become a trial member, but is really just there to finally get into someone's pants, then once she screwed us all she probably won't join the club and you don't have a member that only joined to just to get into Seven's or B'Elanna's or anyone's."
"Good point," Onarsa agreed.
"So," Jennifer said after a moment of silence. You really are gonna make this girl's club and want us in it?"
Onarsa nodded. "Think it would be tons of fun, though it's not much of a club yet. Just Kathryn and me. You are the first people we approach."
Jennifer looked at her sister for a moment and finally Megan gave a short nod, before saying, "Alright we are game, but we want to do it under the trail period rule. Because no offence, you look and sound like a wet dream, but I first want to see if you are any good."
Kathryn laughed. "Ladies, trust me, once you have been with Onarsa you definitely want to join the club."
Jennifer looked at Kathryn before stating," I don't think you understand, club sister, Megan and I are joining your club with a trial period. What did we just agree on? That a potential club member must have slept with all members before she can join. That can take a few weeks later on, but for now I think it's damn easy. We are in the Captain's quarters. So how about you... hmm we have to find something to call each other. Sister seems like clear choice, but seeing what we just discussed I don't think you will find it strange that I rather not say that I really want to fuck one of my sisters."
"I'll think about that one," Onarsa promised.
"Alright then," Jenifer continued. "As I was saying, we are in the Captain's Quarters. So why don't you who isn't the captain between her... friends... come over here and kiss me? Just enough to prove to Megan that in here I really can tell you to do something and you do it. After that you and I stay here and have some fun in that bed of yours while Megan and Onarsa can go to our quarters and have some fun there. And not to get under time pressure we take our time for a lot of loving and we finally get together for an early dinner at five, after which Onarsa and I go to our quarters while Megan will join you here and we stay like that until the four of us meet again for breakfast and then decide if we really want to try this club thing or if it was just a nice excuse for us to mess around."
"Are you always this bossy?" Kathryn asked amused.
"She is more of a leader," Megan said, "But we always decide on stuff together. I think what it is more is the fact that Onarsa might be a very sexy alien, but Jennifer has fantasized more than one about screwing the Captain."
"Like you haven't," Jenifer shot back, basically affirming the accusation.
"Ooh, well then, let us break that ice," Kathryn said as she held a hand out to Jennifer. Once Jennifer had taken the hand, Kathryn pulled the willing woman closer and after looking in each other's eyes for a final time, they both leaned in and they shared a kiss that left them both moaning from desire.
Finally the broke apart and Jennifer managed to say, "Sis, bugger off, I think I want to get naked with my lover here." She didn't look at the two other women, but the fading laughs and the closing door proved that it wasn't needed. Looking back at her new lover, she said softly, "Alright, now that it's only us and nobody can hear us, tell me honestly since I need to ask, you want this?"
"Desperately," Kathryn assured.
Jennifer nodded. "Two more questions. First, what do you want? I have heard a lot of things about what people in command want. Being told what to do, still being in command, it goes all the way. What do you want?"
"I'm a mood person," Kathryn explained. "Different moods means different kinds of fun. But right now? While getting to know my new lover? How about a nice give and take in turn?"
Jennifer smiled her approval. "I like that. In that case, we will start here on the couch, just to get the edge off, and after our first round we move to your bed."
Kathryn started to undo her cloths, but Jennifer shook her head. "No, leave them, I'll get rid of them along the way."
"God, you really do like taking charge, don't you?"
"Sometimes," Megan agreed. "You like it?"
"It's freaking sexy," Kathryn assured.
"Last question," Jennifer said as she started to undo Kathryn's blouse one button at a time. Each time stopping to place a kiss on the newly exposed skin. "What do you want me to call you? Captain is clearly out, and I think Kathryn will become too long and to hard to say when I'm begging you to do stuff to me."
Kathryn though about that for a moment as she enjoyed the kisses that was now so lovingly placed on the parts of her breasts that he bra didn't cover. Finally she said, "My name tends to get shortened to Kate in moments of passion. But I's never something I myself picked. Seven tended to just call me Kathryn regardless, while B'Elanna drifted off to just calling me baby. But this weird ass club thing is something new, and I think I would like to have a little special name all my fellow club members can call me, and which is still decent enough should they ever slip up."
"Let me guess," Jenifer said between kisses, "Small you said. You want to go for being called Kitten."
"You like it?" Kathryn wondered.
"I love it," Megan assured. "I was hoping you would pick that one. Now Kitten, there is something I would never have dared to say to the Captain. But since she isn't here... Kitten, for years I have been dreaming about getting into your pants."
"God yes please," Cathryn said even before Jenifer was done.
"Open up the top clasps to have some room but leave the rest close, I want to work with this."
Moments later all Kathryn could do was let out a lust filled moan as a determined hand was pushed into her pants and down until her sex was cupped, and teasing teeth started to gently nibble on her ear.
"Now, let's get to work," Jenifer mumbled before doing just that.
~~
Kathryn was very capable of enjoying a nice sexy fantasy if the mood struck her, yet never had she imagined the day would come where she would be sitting in a living room, dressed only in a bathrobe while three of her lovers were sitting around her fully dressed.
Megan and Kathryn had started off the day innocent enough by some casual necking and just loving their time together. But finally the time had come to get up and the idea of sharing a shower was so obvious it didn't even need suggesting. Just a held out, and accepted, hand. Just that in the shower washing had led to a bit more and a morning love session under streaming water had definitely been fun. And so they had just been leaving the bathroom when the door chime had sounded. Keeping the sister's preferences in mind, Kathryn had thrown on the bathrobe and told Megan to go get dressed in the bedroom. And so, there she was, in the living room, in just a bathrobe, feeling very relaxed and at ease while being surrounded by three fully dressed people.
Kathryn liked the fact that first some pleasant banter was exchanged, and their personalities seemed to click. It was clear that they were four friends, and that one of them happened to be the captain was totally ignored. But finally the obvious subject was discussed.
"So what did you ladies think?" Onarsa asked. "I know that I was of course amazing, but did you like sleeping with Kathryn, and more to the point, would you ladies want to do it on an ongoing basis?"
Megan, who was sitting besides Kathryn on the couch, pulled the willing woman closer and kissed her before putting her arms around her and gently hugging her. "I for one am sold. Both of you are very skilled and I think I would love to experience that more often. But you know what I also loved? Waking up this morning in her arms. It's so nice to sleep beside someone that isn't lying a whole bed away. Jennifer and I often sleep in the same bed, but it's always because it just happened. We are just chatting and even the little effort of getting up and going to the other bed is too much. But it just feels different to lie besides a lover and knowing that you are going to sleep and wake up together. So, my question is this. What is the plan? Is it that people just have sex and then are kicked out, or do people stay for the night?"
"I thought that's what you liked about the thing with Seven back then?" Kathryn asked. "The fact that, sure you had fun, but after that she left the room and it was just the home of the two of you."
"True," Megan said. "And I still stand by that now. "But what I just said doesn't change that. Even if people stay for the night, both they and you still know that they will leave in the morning. You won't be moving stuff into our home so that it feels like a home to you too."
"True enough," Kathryn agreed. "Hell, if we really do get more club members, just something as simple as each having a toothbrush would be logistics hell. Just think that Seven had B'Elanna do hit it off and move in together, then Onarsa, then you ladies. I would need three extra toothbrushes just to have one at each location where I might start the day."
"I hope to cultivate the crossing relationships," Onarsa explained. "To the point where there are also friendships that go so far that people prefer to have their friend sleep beside her that night instead of kicking a sex buddy out after being fucked."
"You kinda have to," Kathryn reminded. Seeing them look at her, she explained. "Not everyone has single quarters. In fact, most of the women we are thinking about as members for this club don't. B'Elanna does, if she is in, But Seven doesn't. So we can ignore them because whether they are a couple that isn't in or just friends that are, won't change the equation. I have my own quarters, but you ladies don't. If Onarsa will get that command position her place as designated acting captain, to give it my unofficial description for now, will probably rate her own quarters. I guess we could even see the sister's quarters as singe quarters since if one of them is there, the other isn't, so the one can definitely have as club member stay over for the night."
"I get where you are getting at," Onarsa said. "This back and forth would get a lot harder if you have a roommate that leaves and then comes back doing the night, we would be pissing people off left and right by them having their night's sleep interrupted. No, if someone leaves they should not be back until it's time to get up in the morning anyway."
Kathryn nodded. And Samantha, if she gets in the club will bring a complication all by itself in the form of Naomi. A Child that is old and smart enough to see either her mother leave every night, or even worse, there being a different 'friend' for a sleepover every night. Samantha might decline to join the club entire just for this reason alone."
"Oh, Sam will join?" Jennifer asked excitedly.
"We don't know yet," Onarsa said. "We discussed her yesterday, mostly because of her position as being married and the small detail that we are setting us a Single Ladies Club."
"Sam isn't married anymore," Jennifer disagreed.
"She is on paper," Kathryn reminded. "I explained the fact that she and her husband are waiting out the clock yesterday. But she is technically still married, hence that we came on her in a discussion. But we also have to keep in mind that even though I can think of ten Voyager members that could join this club, even I don't know if all of them are even interested in women. I don't know if Sam is."
"She is," Jennifer said. "At least enough that she sleeps with me ever few months, so it's not like she only experimented once. But on the flipside it's always me that starts it, just that every one in a while she actually lets the flirting go on and gives in. As if she is doing me a favor and sleeping with me because I'm horny. She is good at giving, but if it's her turn she really prefers that after a bit of play a toy is used. As if she likes women enough to play with them, but for her own please sure loves to get filled with something a lot longer than fingers."
Kathryn's eyebrows lifted at that before she guessed slowly, "So in other words, sometimes she really wants to have sex but doesn't want to start something with one of the guys, so instead she asks you to use a toy on her?"
Jenifer shrugged as she also nodded ab bit. "I guess you could call it that. But you should not forget what I just said she is good at giving. She definitely doesn't mind going down and enjoys what she is doing. Just that when it's her turn she much rather get fucked then licked."
"So on preferences she would be a good club member," Onarsa decided. "because that's one of the things I want in the club as well. Besides more people I also want people with certain preferences. Just that overall it should still be stuff everyone wants to do or at least is willing to do to you. And she might also want to join. But quarters wise we should consider hers of limits since there is a kid there as well."
"I'm not so sure," Jennifer disagreed. "Because of Megan, normally when we had fun, we stayed in her quarters, and she sure didn't kick me out in the dead of night when Naomi was sleeping. Every singe time I stayed the night, I had breakfast with Sam and Naomi. She knows why I was there, and she was cool with it. And do keep in mind that you did place her in one of the few family quarters Voyager has. So those walls are so insulated that Sam could be screaming her lungs out in her bedroom and Naomi still hears nothing in hers."
"True enough," Kathryn agreed. Then she asked, "You know she knows or you think she knows?"
"She knows," Megan assured. "I haven't slept with Sam, but Naomi did confuse me for Jennifer once when she saw me and asked me when I was going to stay the night again since her mom is so happy afterwards, and that she had been so grumpy lately. I told her that I was the other sister and she just grinned and said 'whops'. The little bugger knew that I would tell Jenny, I bet ya."
"Erm," Kathryn said hesitantly, "Are you trying to tell me that basically the little imp thought her mother was too wound up and should get laid to relax?"
"You have to remember that Naomi is definitely not a baby anymore," Jennifer reminded. "She is growing up twice as fast as a normal human. She has a body of a ten year old, and a mind shaped by being around adults. We get sex education when we it ten in the Federation, and on top of that her mother is a Exobiologist. I have a feeling that Sam was smart enough to have that birds and bees talk with her daughter when she was really small and long before Naomi might want to try stuff on the holodeck. To where now the subject is just another subject San can talk to her daughter about without blushing. No, trust me on this, Naomi has no problem with a friend of her mothers having a 'sleepover'. What I'm more worried about is if Sam would be willing to let her daughter see that every night there is another friend there for a sleepover."
"We will leave that up to Samantha," Kathryn finally decided. "As I said, maybe the doesn't want to join at all. Or maybe she is willing but on the condition that for her it's not every night but only once every week."
"Would that be accepted?" Jennifer asked.
"Sure," Onarsa assured. "If someone will only join on such a condition, then fine. As long as she doesn't want to just sleep with one of two of the club members. Again, for that you don't have to be part of the club. The reason why I said every night for us is that we are all adults and exactly because it's something else every night, the want to have sex will be high. Honestly, I do expect the regular 'not in the mood', and 'I'm too tired'. Trust me, I run a ship. I'm well used to working until you drop. For each cub member there will be nights were all she wants is a bath, a bed, and to be alone."
"Oh, definitely," Kathryn agreed right away.
"In reality," Onarsa said, thinking about it for a moment, "I guess once everything is settle in that it will probably come down to four nights per week. But I just don't see we should start off planning that. I much rather plan for having some fun every night and then sometimes skip some instead of planning only half and then still going to see some lovers of the side."
"Yet another reason why having someone that plans it actually makes sense," Kathryn noted. "I for one would not want to deal with that mess. Can you ladies imagine? I want it four nights, Jennifer wants it three nights, Megan only two, and Onarsa wants it every night, while Seven and B'Elanna fill out the five and six? It would be a planning nightmare to keep that all in mind and yet still make sure that everyone enjoys a nice rotation in which she sleeps with all club members relatively equally often."
She looked at Onarsa before adding with a grin, "I think most of your time during those boring Gama shifts will be taken up going over schedules."
"Can you think of a nicer hobby though?" Onarsa countered amused. "Just think, I for one will get on shift every night after I first enjoyed an evening of fun at home. Just think about it, I just spend a nice hour making love to you, and then I get onto the bridge and sit there just in case something happens, and with the glow of having made love to you still on my mind I'm looking at a PADD while I plan it all and see who I will be sleeping with tomorrow."
They all laughed before Megan finally asked, "So I guess you can consider Jennifer and us team members if you two vote and agree on it that we had our trial period. Because I can tell you, we are definitely in, right sis?"
"Definitely," Jennifer agreed.
Then Megan continued, "So my real question as new full club member is," Who next? Samantha, since we were talking about her?"
"I have no idea," Onarsa admitted. "Kathryn hasn't even told me all potential members yet. So I think that's more her field."
"I think," Kathryn said slowly, "That it's best to wait with Sam. With her there has to be a bigger group in place so that we can say stuff with certainty. At least four more members that even if there are no more member after that there still are enough for literally someone else every day of the week. And on the plus side, by then the rumors will be spreading so we won't be blindsiding her when we do approach here."
"If you are talking about rumors," Jennifer said, "Then maybe Megan and I can do some groundwork. We don't invite her into the club, but we can tell her about it over time. Who knows, if we wait with inviting her, chances are I have been with her again before we invite her, and I could tell her about all the fun we are having. And then by the time we do officially invite her she knows what's coming."
"And what if it's actually her that asks you if she can join in?" Kathryn asked.
Jennifer smiled. "Would that be so bad. We are skipping her for now because we don't want to freak her out, not because we don't want her. If she shows an interest and asks if she can join I can honestly tell her, 'honey, we already talked about you, and we would love for you to become a member. We just waited for a bit so that you hear the story and we don't freak you out since this isn't just a lower decks thing."
"Alright," Kathryn agreed. "That can work. And if she asks, then we discuss it then like we do with all new potential members."
Jennifer grinned. "Somehow I have the feeling she will be asking us before we ask her. But for now we all agree. Let's skip her for the moment. So if not Sam, then who?"
"I was actually thinking of someone else completely," Kathryn said. "I did tell Onarsa that there would be the potential of seven species other than human. How about we start there? Tell me ladies, what do you think of Aquiel Uhnari?"
"Oh well now," Jennifer said. "I definitely didn't see that one coming. I have no idea if she is into women, but I do like the idea. Not counting Onarsa here, it would be nice to have some color in the mix, and I just love milk chocolate."
"If she is into woman, I think she would be amazing is bed," Megan agreed. "Remember, she is an Haliian, that means very limited telepathing and empathic abilities. So limited that it really only works well within personal space. Kinda as personal as you are when making love. Just think about it, a partner that knows what you need exactly when you need it."
"And she is always such a nice and gentle woman when you meet her," Jennifer added. "It's just that I have no idea if she swings our way. I haven't even heard of her being with someone here on this ship."
Kathryn gave that some thought. "Maybe it's exactly her telepathic and empathic abilities. The only other people on this ship with such abilities are the Vulcans. But Tuvok is married, and Vorik is, well, Vorik. Maybe a group of partners is just her thing? Her abilities are bound to form a connection if she is with someone every day. Maybe she doesn't want that. But is she is with someone else every day? The rotating close contact would mean that a bond would start to form with all of the club members, but only a shallow one because she was only with that person for a night before there is over a week of not being with that person. We can make the suggestion to her and just see where it goes. Worst comes to worst she isn't interested and we learn right now how to deal with that as a group and with a no hard feelings mentality."
The others agreed and Jennifer asked, "So how should we do it?"
Kathryn grinned. "I have no idea. And best for me, ladies, I have a day's work in from of me. I do have a ship's renovation to oversee. So why don't you deal with that and I go get dressed and get to work."
Kathryn got up and started to walk to the bedroom, but as she passed Onarsa, a hand gently took hold of her arm to stop her. "Fair enough, I'll deal with this, with the help of my friends here. The club was my idea anyway. But remember, you are a club member now. So that means you have to be home and ready to open the door around a certain time. So how about we all set a time that is the norm from now on? And that means that people that don't want to have company that night should contact me an hour before that time."
"Alright," Kathryn agreed. "But that question is not that clear cut to answer. Because I think it would be kinda fun is the special evening would start around dinner time. That way your friend for the evening could come by for dinner and stay the night. It would definitely enhance the fact that club members are friends, and take away from the point that you just get together to screw. But while I just said all of that, sorry, but I just don't see myself being buddy buddy for hours with some of the people I think might be good club members."
She has a point," Jenifer agreed. "We normally have dinner at six. And I really don't want to spend every evening having to be nice to someone that isn't my sister just to then finally jump into bed, and after that stay the night. That would basically be twelve hours, and half a day is just too long."
"But on the flip side, I really do love the occasional long hug and cuddle session that then leads into making love," Megan said. "If I am with a friend that enjoys that to, I want to have the time to enjoy that."
"So what good be a good time then?" Onarsa wondered. "Because I do know that people that have day shift often go to bed before midnight."
"How does ten in the evening sound?" Megan suggested. "Even if someone normally goes to bed at eleven, that would be still enough time for a quick love session. And ten is late enough that people like Jennifer and me have enough time to basically do our day and then still have time to hang out in the evening. We like to play board games at home after dinner."
"Maybe the solution is more in taking the two times more apart," Kathryn said thoughtfully. "I mean the time to decline for the evening be more than only one hour before. Not counting emergencies, by dinner time I normally already know if I'll have the evening to myself or have to pull a late one again. And by that time I will also know if I'll be too tired for fun."
"So you are thinking dinner time," Onarsa said. "What was it here, six?"
"I'm still thinking," Kathryn said slowly. Even though she was not the captain now, she was well used to solving problems and so the others were willing to give her a moment to think it true.
"Alright," Kathryn finally said, "Before I give you my suggestion, let me give you the reasoning."
"This should be interesting," Onarsa said amused. "Go for it."
Kathryn sat down on the armrest of the chair Onarsa was sitting is. "Let's for the sake of argument say that your plan work perfectly and all club members become friends. Still not all friends are equal. Megan and Jennifer love to play board games, we just found out. I don't. So for me a good time to come by... well for one of them to come here since we need to keep limited quarters in mind, would indeed be around ten in the evening. By then they are done with their games and yet there would still be two hours for some fun before we fall asleep after that fun. But maybe we find out that Aquiel, if she joins, also loves board games and really likes them because with most of them telepathic abilities sure won't help that dice roll a six. So maybe with her a good time to come by would be right after dinner. Hell, maybe she even likes the same food as the sisters here and before dinner would be even better. So she could then come by before dinner, eat with both sisters, play board games with both sisters, and then in the evening after they all had tons of fun, one of the sisters leaves to go spend the night with someone like me while Aquile and the other sister finally go have some of the fun the other sister doesn't want to be around for."
"I see where you are going," Onarsa said. "So the setup would be changed to knowing who will show up that night, and because you know that person you also know that this person normally shows up at this time. This would kinda take away the surprise of the door opening end you not knowing who it is."
"Maybe it's for the best anyway," Kathryn countered. "Take what we just learned about Samantha. If I were to learn that tonight Samantha will be my club partner,"
"Club partner," Onarsa interrupted. "I like how that sounds. How about we go with that until we find a better name since we definitely aren’t using the name 'sister'."
"Club partner it is," Kathryn agreed before continuing. "So if I know it will be Samantha, then I already know that tonight a lot of fun with toys will be had. But on the flipside if I had learned that tonight you would be showing up, I would have been thrilled because I know I can ask you to do that thing you can do with that tongue that drives me so wild."
"It's so amazing when she does that," Jennifer agreed. "And I guess your point is that over time the times when someone shows up at the door will become dependable on how much those two people know each other and their dynamics, just that you learn much earlier in the say who will come by. I think I like that. More so since then we can do more with that. Let's say that Seven and B'Elanna do join this club. Megan and I sometimes do stuff on the holodeck with Seven. She is one of the few that just treats us as sisters, so we like doing stuff with her. So if we know that this night my guest will be Aquiel then we might contact her and ask her to come by for dinner and stay for board games, if she does like them. And if we find out that Seven is my guest, then instead I might contact her as her to join Megan an me on the holodeck for some fun before Megan buggers of and Seven and I go to our quarters to have some other fun."
"Let us not forget that we would be dealing with two guests," Megan reminded. "It would very well be that today Aquiel is my match for the night while Seven is Jennifer's. Which could then mean that maybe Seven joins in on the board game, and kills us all of course, or Aquiel joins us on the holodeck. Or she doesn't like the holodeck and can just tell us with no hard feelings that she passes on that, but that she will come by later for the fun time."
"But let us not forget the ones that might be fiends just really are just in it for the sex," Onarsa reminded. "Alright, so the two times makes more sense. One time in which I make the parings for the evening known, and then one time at which people show up if they haven't met up already earlier to do stuff."
"You mean if I just wanted to fuck Seven silly that evening?" Jennifer giggled.
"You would never just fuck her," Megan accused.
"Oh god no," Jennifer readily agreed. "But I kinda liked the idea of being able to say that and maybe have it be true. Come on, how many people you think there are that have wanted to tell Seven they want to fuck her silly? I kinda like the idea that maybe, if she joins and we are fiends, and she knows that I don't mean it, that I could actually say to her, 'Seven, drop those pants, it's about time I fuck you silly'. Only to see her lift that eyebrow and tease back, 'Again'?"
Kathryn then she suggested, "How about we keep that ten o'clock for that end time. That's the time to show up for some sexual fun if you haven't agreed as friends to show up earlier. And agreeing to show up earlier can just as easy be that you agree to show up at nine because I for one try to go to bed at ten. Of course before all is said and done I tend to be in bed later, but I still plan for being in bed at ten."
"Those are the kind of things that won't even need planning after a few times," Onarsa assured. "After knowing that you prefer someone to come by at nine, I don't think you haver to suggest that three times in a row. She will know it by then."
"True enough," Kathryn agreed. "So that is the upper line. Now about when to let us know... oh, I have a nice idea. It will even still kinda give us that feeling us unknown that you wanted. How about you don't actually tell us, but instead exactly at the end of Alpha shift you sent us a message to our quarter's computer. Maybe we can even rig it that we can't access that message from anywhere else. We first have to go home and see who will join us that night. I bet you, all of us will be in the habit within a day. The habit being that the very first thing we do when we get home, maybe even before taking our shoes off, is to access that message and see who will be my club partner for that day."
"Maybe we can rig the messages such that the other club partner can see if your partner has seen hers already," Megan suggested. "That way I come home and see the name Aquiel. And I see she has opened her and knows that I will be her partner that night. There, surprise is over, and then I can contact her and say, 'hey Jennifer and I are joining Seven on the holodeck today. So no board games sadly. How about you come by at eight and I will take a lot of time to make it all up to you'."
"That could work," Onarsa Agreed. "It's not like I'm under time pressure, since I will set up the schedule for the day on my Gamma shift while you ladies are all done messing about and are already sleeping for real. Not that hard to set up the messages to automatically send at end of Alpha shift."
"Alright," Kathryn said, standing up again. "And now I really do have to get dressed and going. You guys see what Aquiel wants to do. If not than not and we'll talk later about my other suggestions. Oh, and clearly, since I live alone here and that means my Club mates will come over here, I'll set up the computer later that you are recognized here as welcome guests. Would be nice if you can get something from the replicator. But to keep the Captain and your fellow club member separate, I'll set up a code. I think I'll set the door to open for you when you say 'club's business'. That's easy enough to remember, and yet strange enough that someone trying to get into the door otherwise would probably never think of it. Now ladies, you know where the replicator is, stray and chat, and I see... um... at least one of you later."
They all laughed and as Kathryn had already left the room, Megan shouted after her, "You so do love this, don't you?"
A happy laugh was the only reply, and more was really not needed anyway.
Last 'Kathryn Filler' spoilers. Just wild ideas I had and hadn't written down yet.
No, Seven and B'Elanna never joined the club. For reason I might post in a general end of story spoiler section.
But yes, they ended up setting up the club, and it flourished. In the end they ended up with about thirty members. You know, for a different 'friend' each night of the month.
Now, this my sound like a lot, but keep in mind that Voyager had between 130 and 150 crew members, depending on the episode. So let's say 140. Lets say that half is women. So there are 70 women on the ship, and almost half of them ended up joining up while the rest wasn't interested or not allowed to join since they were in ongoing relationships and therefore not eligible to join.
However, the whole... feeling... of the club changed over time. In the beginning it was clearly set up mostly just for the sex. But even when setting up the club they already talked about stuff like playing boardgames or going to the holodeck.
This later social aspect became the main focus of the club. That each evening the members spend the evening with a different friend having fun. Joining other friends on the holodeck. Staying home and talking since there was actually stuff you hadn't said ten times already to this one person, and so on.
It's just that, yes, there was the sex part of the deal and in the evening they did have fun with friends between the sheets.
But even there a gray area evolved where some people did like their 'friend for the day' as a friend to do stuff with, but preferred not to have sex with them. But they sure loved the social aspect of being club embers. And so it became normal for some people not to sleep with some members. Since clearly, none of this was forced in any way.
But seeing that it were just some members, the others just accepted that since, hey, they were still having sex with like 20 different women during a month. Come to think of it, having about ten day where you were partnered up with people they liked but didn't want to be intimate with was actually a bit of a blessing.
So everyone was happy (of course, since it's a story and jealousy and STD's don't exist. :P )
And yes, the single guys did set up a men's club, and the ladies decided not to try and find out what they did there.
And the rest of the ship simply stuck to their long-term monogamous relationships and simply ignored both clubs.
