This is the only story that doesn't have a subpage or attachments.
The reason being that it's so short that there is more explanation than story.
So:
Hi all,
Alright, some time ago there was this question on the VJB mailing list list about why the Borg didn't do this or that when encountering Voyager. Also, recently I had a discussion with one of my beta's about why I couldn't have the Borg do that. I gave an example as to why not; let me share that example with you.
For this you have to keep in mind Star Trek cannon, especially the battle at Wolf 359 in which ONE Borg cube destroyed 39 out of 40 Federation ships and
killed +/- 11,000 personnel and after that the cube continued its course apparently undamaged.
So now Voyager comes across a Borg cube and this time they don't have a desperate script writer coming to their rescue with a stupid plan. Here we
go:
Title: Borg; a true encounter.
"Man this part of space is boring, I wish something would happen," Janeway said.
"Captain, a ship just dropped out of warp."
"Oh shit, it's a Borg cube, now what?"
"They are beaming over, Captain."
"Shit!"
The end.
Author note:
Yes, I do have a strange sense of humor. But come on, can ANY of you think of some plan to stop the Borg without immediately coming up with a reason why it would never work 'in reality.'
Come on, I dare ye. Come up with one, just one, scheme that would actually work.
:)
