Fieldwork in Turkey, October 2014. First snow over the Bolkardag mountains. They are also known as the Afyon zone, a famous Fe-Mg carpholite bearing unit...
Fieldwork in Morocco (March 2015) with my great friend Abdel and his student Sylvain. We are looking there at supposedly non-metamorphic rocks. This is a view of the Jebillet (small mountains in Arabian). The town of Sidi Bou Othmane can be seen at the back. You will find there the best Tajine ever. The small mountains are made of Visean sediments including some vesuvianite skarns.
Fieldwork in Turkey (Oct. 2014). At the end of the day after looking at ophiolites I had a relaxing walk to look at the ignimbrite flows of Cappadocia
