Dental Anatomy Clay Project
This project was to demonstrate a 9 year olds mixed dentition with clay. From this project I learned a lot about different things such as how much unique anatomy there is to each tooth and how teeth come together in a mixed dentition with primate spacing. This is important for a dental hygienist as eruption patterns are important to recognize and different anatomy to use to help identify a mixed dentition.
Head and Neck Anatomy TMJ Project
The purpose of this project was to show our knowlege on different components of the TMJ such as muscles and ligaments and components of the joint while the TMJ was in open and resting position. I learned that the TMJ is a very complex and important part of the oral cavity. This is important to dental hygiene as the TMJ is a the most important joint in oral health, and we need to understand the components of the joint to understand if there are any complications same with the muscles and ligaments.
