WHO's 2005 guidelines are a must-read before conducting any fieldwork. It contains definitions, detailed protocols for enumerator training and data collection, as well as the main questionnaires used around the world since 2005.
IPA's guidelines for researchers and research staff has a fantastic checklist for the design of the study, piloting and training, survey administration, and data storage.
Lori Heise's Ecological Model of Violence Against Women is a well known conceptual framework in social sciences. It is a great resource to bridge the gap between economics and other disciplines in the understanding of intimate partner violence.
