Helpful Tournament info
It won't be long and our tournaments will begin!!!
IF YOUR ARCHER CANNOT ATTEND A TOURNAMENT, I MUST know a week in advance. Schools expect that everyone signed up will show up. We all understand that unexpected things will occur but please be respectful for those archers/schools that may not have a timeslot and could have filled their archer in.
ARCHERS THAT HAVE A CONTINUAL RECORD OF NOT SHOWING FOR THEIR SCHEDULED TIME SLOT MAY BE REMOVED FROM FUTURE TOURNAMENTS.
Helpful tourney info:
- We will bring bows and arrows to the tournaments. (Due to the overwhelming amount of club bows, we may ask that archers take the bow with them---we will let you know if that is the case)
- Long hair needs tied back
- wear archery shirt (shirts will be available first week of January practices
- wear closed toe shoes (I don't foresee anyone wearing sandals this time of year but thought I better be clear)
- We would like archers to arrive 45-60 minutes before their flight time, that way they have time to check out the facility, use restrooms, get a snack if needed, be relaxed and not rushed. Sometimes flights run early(and sometimes late).
- Flights last about 45 minutes, scores are posted about 30 minutes afterwards if you want to stay for those, otherwise you are free to go after your archer shoots.
- I track all scores and will post that spreadsheet on the website
- As far as what to expect at tournaments, they have concessions, sometimes raffles for archery equipment, cost is typically $3 an archer, $4-$5 per adult and $2-$3 for students. Little ones are usually free.

A number of tournaments have already been scheduled.
