Here's an instant meeting idea on 'Step Eleven'
Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.
Nina N. in CO: Early in recovery, I was tenacious about finding the meaning behind having a "conscious contact" with my Higher Power and all that entails. I wanted that! I needed that! As I grew in my recovery, I began to feel, listen, and pay attention when my Higher Power was communicating with me. My decisions became easier and the serenity began to creep in my day. If I begin to feel a little over-whelmed, I just take a deep breath, relax, and listen.
Cheri. in CA: The most essential part of my conversation with my Higher Power needs to be about gratitude. I know I cannot hear His guidance if I fail to be grateful for the guidance and gifts already given. I must discipline my soul to seek my Higher Power's will, and not waste the opportunity begging for my own wish list.
