Signs in Praha

Prague was less damage during World War II than other cities in the region. It has a very varied and interesting architecture with different styles like Art Nouveau, Renaissance, Baroque, Cubist, Gothic, Neo-Classical.

The houses were not marked with numbers until 1770. Before that the houses was recognized by signs / symbols like the Golden Key, the Three Violins, the Red Lamb etc.

The street with most signs is Nerudova in district of Mala Strana (Lesser Quarter)
