Institutional Services (at UTHealth School of Public Health)

I was instrumental in the development of a minor option Health Information Technology Management for the PhD program at School of Public Health, in collaboration with the UTHealth School of Biomedical Informatics. This minor option comprises of five courses, and two of these courses are offered by me at School of Public Health.

I represented the Department of Management, Policy, and Community Health at various school-wide councils including Research Council (2014-Spring2016), Information Technology Council (2013-2014), and Faculty Council (2013-2014). Additionally, I have served as faculty judge for the UTHealth School of Public Health Student Research Day (2015, 2016) and served as faculty mentor to Student Research Day committee to organize their 2016 edition.

Further, I revived the department level Faculty Seminar Series and managed it during 2013-2015 to promote exchange of research ideas and expose doctoral students to latest research by inviting faculty from inside and outside UTHealth.
