Mushim-Do

Mushim-Do ia an eclectic art utilizing the techniques and methodologies from many martial arts systems in order to give the practitioner a well rounded martial arts experience while presenting those techniques and methodologies within a complete system. Mushim-Do will explore the concepts of "linear" and "non-linear" martial arts. Linear methods are expressed through the techniques of ITF Taekwon-Do and Shoto-Kan Karate. Non-linear methods are expressed through Hapki-Do, Aikido, and Taijiquan. Grappling is also presented through Judo and American wrestling.

The curriculum incorporates hand and foot striking techniques from Taekwon-Do, Hapki-Do, and Karate-Do. Throws, joint manipulation, and break falls from Judo, Hapki-Do/Hapki-Sul, and Aikido are also used. Hatha Yoga methods are used in Mushim-Do throughout training as well as weapons. These techniques focus on promotion of balance, strength, flexibility, breath/movement coordination, and of course application.
