All India Association of University Information & Communication Technology Professionals (AIAUICTP), formerly known as All India University Programmers Association (AIUPA), welcomes all teachers, academic staff and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) professional of all Universities and Colleges. This association provides an opportunity to discuss various aspects of ICT professionals (e.g. System Managers, Sr. System Analysts, Sr. Programmers, System Analysts, Programmers, Jr. Programmers, etc.) related to CAS, Pay Fixation and Service Conditions. Association will work for the professional up-gradation of ICT professionals. AIAUICTP also provide opportunity to show solidarity across the Universities.

ICT professionals from different Universities were approaching University Grand Commission (UGC)/Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) to resolve their problems individually. Programmers of University of Delhi visited UGC in January 2009 to plead their case and felt the need of a joint forum of ICT professionals from universities. The ICT professionals from DU, JNU, JMI and other Universities met at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, resolved to form an association which could represent on behalf of ICT professionals.

Aims and Objectives of AIAUICTP:

The aim and objectives for which the Association is established are as under:

      1. To represent on behalf of members in UGC/ MHRD/ AIU/ AICTE/ Institute/ University/ Courts of Law, any other statuary body for causes related to grievances of members.
      2. To get legitimate grievances of its members redressed in disputes between them and the authorities of the concerned University/ UGC/ MHRD/ AICTE... etc..
      3. To promote harmony, unity and sense of co-operation amongst the members.
      4. To develop in its members a sense of discipline and responsibility in discharge of their official duties and to strive to improve their efficiency.
      5. To devise ways, and means for general betterment including improvement and up-gradation of qualifications and professional skills of its member.
      6. To secure representation of its members in the various bodies of the University and to safeguard their interest.
      7. To promote a healthy and pleasant community life by organizing social, cultural and academic activities.
      8. To raise special funds when necessary for the promotion of its aims and objects.
      9. To help its members in their individual legitimate difficulties and problems.
      10. To conduct the courses related to current Information Technology topics for interested groups of persons. AIAUICTP can also go for accreditation or collaboration etc.
      11. To promote the R & D activities for the members.
      12. To financially assist the Scheduled Cast/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Cast/Minorities/Physically challenged personns in conducting their research activities in the field of IT.
      13. To organize IT related activities like workshops, seminars, conferences, events, training; maintain websites and technology infrastructure, publish magazines, newsletters and journals etc.
      14. Any other aim(s) as approved by the General Body.
