Teacher Bio

Dear AHS Parents and Students,

Welcome to Alpharetta High School! I am anxious and excited to get to know new AHS families and returning students and parents. It is always a pleasure to work with you and your student, and I look forward to a happy and productive school year.

Teaching Physical Education is my true passion. I am starting my 24th year in education and my 8th year in the Fulton County School system. Before moving to the area I taught Jacksonville, FL at Mandarin and Terry Parker High Schools where I served as the head baseball coach and the school’s Athletic Director. I have been married for 22 years (Tonya) and have two children (Jacob, 20 and Evan, 18).

I graduated from the University of North Florida with a degree in Health Science and Community Health. While in college I was a member of the UNF baseball team playing both as an infielder and outfielder. I am an avid athlete still to this day and look at sports as a way to a healthy lifestyle. I feel it is very important to not only teach students, but to demonstrate to all Alpharetta High School students that wellness and personal fitness are not just courses in school, but a components of a healthy lifestyle.
