In this class, students will explore advance visual elements and principles of photography as an art medium. Students will develop skill, confidence and sensitivity in applying knowledge of photography and techniques to the production of art work. Areas of study are shot types, portrait, landscape, studio vs. location shooting, conventions and history, technical literacy, visual communication, career awareness, and preparation of work for public display.
Late work:
10% per day, unless an alternated deadline has been set with the teacher.
After the 4th day the work will not be accepted. School days, regardless of schedule.
Theatre and music – performances are required as part of their grade. Students are not allowed to miss them, unless arrangements are made two weeks in advanced with instructor, an alternative assignment will given with a specific deadline.
In emergency circumstances with proper documentation, there will be a makeup assignment given with a specific deadline. See instructor for proper documentation requirements.
As per majority rule, this policy has been adopted by the Fine Arts Department at AHAHS.

Student Lead Conferences are coming up. I will be available for conferences in my classroom E111 during the following days and times:
March 10th from 2:25-4:00pm
March 11th from 2:25-4:00pm
March 12th from 7:00am- 4:00pm
If you come on March 10th-11th after school 2:25-4:00pm you might have to call the school and then my extension (243-1458 ext.60059) so I can come meet you and let you in the building. March 13th the building should be open, you will need to sign in at the front office. You can also make an appointment with me if these times do not work for you or we can have a conference over the phone or email as well.
