Sustainable Development 

In between my degree in Mechatronics Engineering in Ecuador and the beginning of my graduate studies in Electronics Engineering (Artificial Intelligence) in South Korea, I spent about a year living in the lung of the planet, the Amazon jungle, in 2012-2013 doing some research in Sustainable Development. But what I really did, was an incredible year of learning about the Amazon rainforest, its history, people, culture, nature, and also about myself. During that time, I had the opportunity to meet native people, farmers, students, researchers, professors, government officials, and much more.  This has been one of the best experiences I have ever had. It changed my life, allowing me to know something more about my country and myself.

Photography

Photography is my passion. I try to capture every single moment with my camera. In 2013, I started a personal project called "Flying free on earth". It all started as a symbol that allows me to represent, through a photograph, freedom, and strength. I have always dreamed of living in a world without barriers or conditions; with social justice and equity among human beings; a sustainable planet, and humanity responsible for its actions.

I found the symbol in a yoga pose originally known as the warrior pose. Although this symbol represents the hero, warrior, vigorous, brave, for me it means not only something related to power and stability but also a way to share my inspiration with people. For this reason, I try to capture images at every place I visit. Each one represents a personal memory and a dream to continue making this ideal come true.

Face drawing

Face drawing is my new artistic passion. In a cold December winter of 2022, I joined a small group of talented people who shared a great artistic spirit. For several weeks, we would gather for a couple of hours each week to draw and share experiences over a cup of tea. Unfortunately, the group didn't last long, but that wonderful experience led me to continue this journey as a new hobby. Though I am still a beginner, something that started from scratch is now a part of my life and a new passion. During my limited free time, I try to draw the faces of people including my family, friends, face-drawing club members, and colleagues. Each face tells a story and holds a memory of time!
