Donations & Volunteers

Bike Donations:

We need bikes in all sizes!  In order to fix the donated bikes, materials need to be bought including locks, tires, tubes, seats, handle bars, shifters, brake pads, cables, and kickstands. A $25 donation with each bike to help with the cost of a new helmet & parts is greatly appreciated!

For times to drop-off donations check our Bike Drive hours on the Schedule.

Parts Donations:

While we rely heavily on purchased parts, it is a great help if you can donate gently used items such as training wheels, locks (key or combination), or any other bike parts you may have.

Monetary Donations:

Don't have any bikes to donate, but would like to help out?  You can help us financially!  Make a tax-deductible donation to help pay for much needed parts.  Donations can be cash or checks made payable to: St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, (memo field "Adopt-A-Family Bikes"), 1550 Diablo Road, Danville, CA 94526.

Volunteer:

Like the satisfaction of having tidied up?  You can help make the bikes sparkly clean!  We supply the 409, rags and aprons, you supply the elbow grease!  If you've always wanted to learn how to fix a flat or adjust your brakes, then volunteering is right for you!  No experience or tools necessary! Our wonderful volunteers will guide you through the process of repairing a bike.

For groups please email adoptafamilybikes@gmail.com to schedule a time to volunteer.

For individuals, simply check our schedule for "Volunteer Day" and drop-in when you can.

For volunteers who are 13 years old or younger, we ask that an adult accompany them during their volunteer time.
