I am a Teaching Professor in the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University and a researcher interested in international trade. I received my PhD and M.S. in Economics from Purdue University and my B.S. in Finance from University of the West, Timișoara, Romania.
My research focuses on empirical international trade, specifically the micro-foundations of trade costs. I investigate how trade frictions such as transport logistics (maritime and air) and trade finance shape global markets. My recent work explores how these factors influence firm-level outcomes, including market entry, price discrimination, and exporter survival.
I am teaching undergraduate and graduate classes in Data Analysis and Econometrics, International Economics, and Microeconomics.
Research Interests: Empirical International Trade, Applied Econometrics
