Health Status and the Dream Act Generation Latinos
Studying literature and analyzing data from health organizations in order to identify major health disparities in the US Latino population
Preliminary Findings: Health disparities among Latinos could drastically improve through the education of young Latinos in health care fields, which could be facilitated significantly by passing the dream act.

Latina HIV Testing Enablers Study
An NIH funded study to look at the HIV testing enablers and support systems for Latina Women in the South Eastern region of the U.S.
Played a key role in establishing community connections and provider connections in order to recruit participants
Translated and transcribed interviews from Spanish to English in order to identify key testing enablers.
Helped develop, translate, and refine a HIV enabler’s assessment scale and questionnaire
Participated in Data collection, Data Entry, and Analysis
Presented preliminary findings at the March 2012 SFAA conference in Baltimore, Maryland
