4th project meeting 23-24 April 2020

The 4th and final project meeting is held online due to the corona virus.

3rd project meeting 24-25 September 2018

The 3rd project meeting, which was both a technical and a review meeting, was held on 24- 25 of September at LiU and Saab, Linköping, Sweden. The purpose of the technical meeting was to update and evaluate the progress of each work package including its work plan, deliverables, milestones, risks, advances, possible scientific and industrial potential, etc., to present respective contribution to the project, possible deviations and future activities, to Review dissemination and exploitation activities both past and future, to assess the project budget and costs, and to discuss and agree on next steps. The purpose of the review meeting was to evaluate the progress of the work plan against the grant agreement including completion of deliverables and milestones, to review the project objectives and their relevance, to go through how resources were planned in the project and used in relation to the project progress, and to assess contribution of each partner to the project. Both meetings were chaired by the project coordinator (Svjetlana Stekovic) and the topic manager (Magnus Kahlin).

Collaboration meeting between LiU, Saab and Fraunhofer, 22nd August 2017

A collaboration meeting was held between Fraunhofer (FhG), LiU and Saab at Linköping University. The aim of this meeting was to let the participants know about on-going activities in each project and their objectives to enhance collaboration among the projects’ partners. The meeting agenda covered activities from WP3 and WP4. Saab presented four different demonstrators being developed under Clean Sky 2. The WP3 team focused on mathematical modelling and their work on stress constraints using Global stress constraints with corrected P-norm, where clusters are based on maximum stress, distributed stress and geometry. Trinitas was presented and how it has been used in AddMan. The main goals of WP4 are to link critical metal powder bed AM process parameters and post-processing options to the designer’s geometrical specification, develop what a Knowledge Based Engineering Framework (KBE) that integrates TO, CAD and CAE tools and finally submit a best practice for metal AM. Anton (from WP4) explained what KBE means and went through existing KBE methods. He uses TO in order to get first concept design to expand it to parametric CAD and then FEM for support structure analysis.

2nd project meeting 08-09 June 2017

The 2nd project meeting was held on 8-9 of June at MTC, Coventry, the UK. The meeting was attended by the project partners and Saab. It was a 2-day event and was chaired by the project coordinator (Svjetlana) and the WP5 leader (Andrew). The Topic Manager could not attend in person due to some health problems but he was linked in via Skype both dates as well as WP2 leader Johan Moverare. The agenda covered both the technical progress and dissemination and exploitation activities.

Kick-off meeting

The kick-off meeting took place at Linköping University and Saab in Linköping, Sweden, between 2-3 of February 2017. The purpose of the meeting was to:

  • Officially start AddMan,
  • Present partners and participants,
  • Develop a common understanding of the project, its objectives, tasks and expected results,
  • Present and discuss the WP activities,
  • Clarify project management and administrative procedures, and
  • Agree on next steps.

The meeting was chaired by both the Project Coordinator (Svjetlana Stekovic) and the Topic Manager (Magnus Kahlin).
