CONDITIONS OF HIRE
The hirer will ensure that:
The premises are used only for the purpose stated on the booking form or contract.
Payment is received within 14 days unless otherwise stated. Failure to comply with this will result in the booking being withdrawn.
Rudeness to any member of the voluntary committee will not be tolerated.
Electrical equipment brought onto the premises has a current PAT certificate.
A responsible person is nominated to ensure the safe evacuation in case of fire or other emergencies.
The premises are vacated no later than the time stated on the booking form.
An appropriate licence for the sale of alcohol is obtained if required.
Appropriate licence or permissions for public performances are obtained if required.
The premises are not used for any form of gambling or gaming.
All tables and chairs are returned to the designated storage places on completion the hire.
Decorations are not affixed to the walls. Decorations may only be attached to stanchions, Nails, staples and the like are not to be used for this purpose. Blue Tack and sellotape are not to be used UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ARE CANDLES TO BE USED IN THE HALL DUE TO FIRE RISK (Excl. Birthday Cake candles).
Any decorations and rubbish are removed. No recyclable waste is to be left on the premises or in the waste container outside the premises. Failure to comply - a £50.00 charge will be levied against the hirer for disposal.
Food is prepared only in the kitchen and that all surfaces are cleaned after use. Please contact the Bookings Secretary if the facilities are not in good order on arrival.
The premises are left clean and tidy. Please use the cleaning materials provided in the kitchen.
Discotheques are limited to private parties with no advertising and finish at 11.00pm. We are situated in a residential area so noise must be kept to a reasonable level. We do have a sound limiter which will flash if the sound goes above a Certain level (95 Decibels)
The premises are locked securely on completion of the hire and the keys returned to the person from whom they were obtained as soon as the event is over.
The management undertakes to provide premises suitable for hire, but cannot be held responsible for the following:
o Loss or damage to vehicles or other property belonging to users of the hall.
Failure of water, gas, electricity, main drainage supplies or storm damage beyond our control.
Children’s events must, at all times, be supervised by an appropriate adult. Also, any children accompanying an adult to a class (although not participating in the class), must, at all times, stay with the adult in whichever hall they are using.
Children are not permitted on the Stage or surrounding area.
Sales held at the Hall: on no account are notices or signs permitted to be displayed at locations away from the Hall, as requested by Amersham Town Council.
For safeguarding purposes you are welcome to lock the main front door once your event has started.
Refunds of hire fees:
Where the notice given exceeds 21 days: - the full hire fee, less a cancellation fee of £30.00.
· Where the notice given is 21 days or less, but more than 7 days: - 50% of the full hire fee
Where the notice given is 7 days or less: - no refund will be made.
Where the total hire fee for a single event is £60 or less, the refund will be 50% of the fee, if the notice given is more than 7 days.
