Neck Dissection
Modified Radical Neck Dissection preserves sternoclidomastoid, spinal accessory nerve, and/or jugular vein
Neck dissection takes omohyoid muscle, cervical lymphatics, facial vein and artery, superior thyroid vein, transverse cervical artery, cervical rootlets
Preoperative Considerations:
Shoulder roll to extend the neck
Incise from mastoid posterior to SCM verticaly to hyoid
Dissection:
Posteriorly to anterior edge of trapezius
Anteriorly to expose strap muscles
Inferiorly to expose clavical and medial head of SCM
