When I was thinking about the heating/cooling and ventilation system, in the beginning, it was only one system.
The idea was the fresh air to be blown across the inner heat sink, then in to the aquarium then at the other end with the help of fan the air is remove.
At left under the duct is blowing fan and the heat sink.At right is suction fan.
Here is how it's look in real.
After all, this design was discarded because, there was no enough cooling capacity of the system.Main reason for that is the poor C/W of the outer side heat sink.
Below the inner heat sink there is 2 TECs - 12710.They are 150W at 15V, but I run them connected in serial to 13.5V.In this way the maximum current across the TECs was 3.8A, and the max temperature difference between cold and hot side 30C.This wasn't enough.Hot side temperature reached 50C, so the cold side can't foll down bellow 22C.You can imagine if you want to cool down the volume of the aquarium which is 30C hotter to 24, with only 22C entering the aquarium. There was no cooling at all.
For heating there is no problem because the heat transfered form cold side plus the heat from the work it self was enough to bring the inner heat sink to 50C.
