Update Friday March 13, 2021:

Since Thursday’s email announcing the cancellation of ACB 2020 convention, the ACB Board has been hard at work determining the financial impact. While a significant financial liability remains, we are happy that we are now in a position to offer refunds as a result of a settlement with the hotel on Friday that has reduced the total liability. The refund process details are in development and will be shared as soon as possible.

ACB members, sponsors, donors and advertisers will be invited to consider donating a portion, or all, of their refund to the ACB with the expressed intent to direct these funds toward the financial liabilities of the cancelled event.

We respectfully request patience through this as it is new territory for all with the COVID-19 health crisis. Trust that the Board is working hard to identify the best possible solutions, as quickly as feasible, in a rapidly evolving environment.

On Thursday March 12th it was announced that "The ACB Board of Directors is forced to cancel the 2020 Convention taking place in Virginia Beach next week. With the growing number of confirmed Coronavirus cases, the Virginia Governor declared a state of emergency Thursday afternoon. Conferences taking place within state borders are canceled, among other things."
