VIDEO TUTORIALS

Use the Brightspace Tutorial Channel on YouTube to find D2L tutorials. You can use the search function to find videos related to specific topics and functions. You can also use the "Playlist" menu to find lists on topics such as teaching tips and starting the semester.

CHANGING YOUR COURSE START DATE

Students cannot access the course until the official start date listed in D2L. In order to allow them to access the course a few days prior to the start, you can change your course start date in D2L. This document will tell you how.

COPYING COURSE COMPONENTS

You may copy components from one course or section to another. This document will walk you through that process.

FIXING BROKEN LINKS

This document will tell how how to fix any course links that are broken. You can link to assignments, course documents, discussions, websites, etc.

CONNECTING A GOOGLE ACCOUNT

This document helps students connect their D2L account with their Google account. Connecting the account allows students to seamlessly submit documents from their Google drive into D2L.

ADDING AND CUSTOMIZING WIDGETS ON YOUR HOMEPAGE

This document will tell you how to change your homepage and add and customize widgets. Widgets provide quick access to information on your course's homepage. Current widgets on your course homepage likely include Instructor Contact Information, Calendar, Announcement, and Google Apps.

EDITING YOUR SYLLABUS IN D2L

You can edit your syllabus as a word document and then upload it into D2L, or you can edit in D2L in HTML. Here are the instructions for editing in HTML.
