To the north of the world, The Ice bears down upon humankind and other races in a relentless grinding a mile tall. The tribes of humans there, bound by a warrior culture, often venture southwards to raid and, sometimes, claim lands.
That is how this city came to be. A group of northmen rebuilt on the ruins of a city of the lost Imperium, with all that implies for terrors that might lurk in tunnels and catacombs beneath the new city. Whatever its challenges, Draveria rivals Thozanga, its much larger competitor down the coast, as a nexus for trade and, at times, piracy. Unlike Thozanga, however, there is little tolerance for Khansmen or pirates, though some Draverians pay protection to the pirate brotherhood or even join up themselves.
A new caravan road, far from the squabbles of the Small Kingdoms, links this coastal haven to the Simari fortress and Windamere beyond. As yet, however, amenities on the road are sparse and threats from Thozanga plentiful. Thozangans trade here but are generally distrusted, as are all nonhumans save for Simari, who taught the Draverians the art of shaping stone.
